I’m only about one hour from finishing reading Bioshock: Rapture. And now that we have internet again, I went and checked the eshop on my switch, and hey the games are on sale.

I’ve seen the first game being played many many times, since it’s one of my brother’s favorites, but I’ve never really played it myself. Not that into FPSs. However, reading the novel has given me a newfound appreciation of the characters and events, so I went and bought the first game to continue the story right after I finish the book.

I already played the second game on the switch, and having it on a handheld definitely helped me stay interested. So I know I’ll be fine.

BTW Some kids did Barts phone joke in real life, Look it up, Its waay to funny.

I still wonder if we'll get a sequel to Mario Odyssey for the Switch. I'm leaning toward "no" at this point. As disappointing as that is.

@WoomyNNYes I don't think it's happening either, unfortunately. They probably would have made a sequel by now. I remember reading that the reason why they made Super Mario Galaxy 2 was because Nintendo's devs couldn't fit all their ideas into the first game. At the very least, we'll get the next 3D Mario platformer on the next Nintendo console.

I did try and get it last year but it kept running outta stock! I was so mad, because it was probably the only game I'd shell out money for a special edition!

I think we're living in a sad sad situation when fake gambling in video games (without using real money) or something that using dices (any board games that using dices) will be considered as PEGI 18 but the micro transactions and lootboxes with using real money are still keep being a PEGI 3 because of money politic and manipulations from infamous rich companies ?
This world is already doomed by those sad peoples.

@Anti-Matter Yeah man, it's awful. I can't believe Pokémon could be rated as an 18 only game and FIFA won't. These rules just need to be rewritten, it's hilarious how awful they are.

Anti, real gamers do not care about age ratings on their games. They know what to play.

Those gambling ratings are for parents that are "concerned" that their children might play fake casino mini games. They are afraid that exposure to this things might some day grow into the real addiction.

Stop caring what number or letter is stamped on the game case.

Age rating does matter for me for other games with no simulated gambling inside.
I only allowed games with age rating Everyone, Everyone 10+, Teen / CERO A, CERO B / PEGI 3, 7, 12.
That's my golden rules.
It does really matter for me.
It has a major impact with my reaction toward something.
It hurt to see the future games will get slapped a PEGI 18 just because of using something gambling mechanism even rolling a dice for a board game for family is a gambling too (total randomness) ??

Those malicious companies with lootboxes and micro transactions practice should be doomed for manipulating this world with real gambling practice.
Fake gambling is totally fine for me as long using money from the game, not by using our real money. Even i have Bomberman Land 3 PS2 Japan with Casino everywhere.

@Anti-Matter I can't imagine any future games will have gambling in now that this rule is in place, unless it's a game that would have been an 18 anyway. It will only really affect rereleases (Spelunky on Switch is an 18 because of it, and Mario 64 DS and the old Pokémon games on VC are 12s due to having gambling minigames so they would be 18s if they were released again now with no changes).

I saw a new casino game called Poker Club for PS4 & PS5 got rated Teen by ESRB during this year.

So I hope ESRB and CERO will keep Simulated Gambling content as rated Teen or CERO B as the highest age rating for casino games.
