@chapu2006 Sorry for your loss, it's never easy, but as an objective onlooker, I couldn't give any other verdict. But as mentioned, I found the entire tournament rather underwhelming, so all in all, I'm actually glad it's over.

The best day of the entire tournament was probably the 28th of June, when we first got Spain vs Croatia (5-3) and later that evening Switzerland vs France (3-3, 5-4 in penalties). After that, matches got progressively worse, with less and less goals, and lots of below par football.

@ogo79 - Love that Swamp Fiend, the upper body is unique, and I like when the arms and legs are bones. Have you played Double Dragon Neon? Skullmageddon is one of my favorite skeleton people.

@ThanosReXXX - Sorry so late, but just to tidy up that exploded conversation, the piece I would like to make is an entire exploded view of a Ms Pac Man cabinet. It’s kind of absurd because it would be enormous, but I still want to do it.

I looked but couldn’t find a segment from Wide World of Sports that I remember from my youth about Johan Cruyff, the Impossible Goal, and Total Football. It was a short segment, but mesmerizing. I did a short Wikipedia dive into Total Football, and it reminds me of zone defenses in basketball and American football, and more so the triangle offense that Phil Jackson ran to great success with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Pretty interesting stuff. I’m sure it was beautiful to behold.

@Tyranexx - Yeah, I’d need to find that same kinda spot down south, or just be somewhere where I’m in water all the time. I don’t think I’m cut out for it though, and I do actually like winter and the cold here, I’m just kinda over it by late January, and it tends to drag on until April now. I know the no a/c thing is a bit mind boggling to us, but we only had one rental place out there with central air, and we only used it for about a week.

@Eel - I’m in love with that little butt flower, it’s incredible. It looks so alien. Any idea how long it will be around? Seems like maybe it’ll decompose in a gross/weird way. When you say it smells like dog, you talking just kind of a general, universal dog smell, or something more specific like wet dog smell or nesting dog smell? I saw a giant corpse flower at a botanical conservatory once, but it was sectioned off behind glass because it was full bloom and terribly noxious. I really wanted just a quick whiff. Just to see.

@ThanosReXXX Heh, maybe a bit exaggerated. My horse did kick Link and he went flying... I ended up taming that horse after that.

I have been reading the manga for dbz super, and man, There is a lot I like about it, I'm on the TOP arc, but I have yet to finish, maybe by the end of the day? but ether way, its not as bad as fans make it out to be, and I haven't watched the anime in full yet, I do think there is some things the anime does better then the manga, and things the manga does better then the anime. so its kinda hard to say which is better for me.

@ThanosReXXX My internet's usually rock solid but the one day it decides to give up (or maybe the servers lagged) was the Euro 2020 final. Saw the first half, and I decided to pack up and go to sleep because of how bad the lag was. Watched the highlights and the penalty shootout this morning and... some of those England penalties could have been taken better by quadriplegics. Rashford and Saka's penalties in particular were quite awful. The way Rashford just walks up to the ball and kicks it, he must have been possessed by Italy. No other way!

But I was (stupidly) reading through comments on the penalty shootout video and it was all England hate. I can understand with fans and all, because of their... (IMO) lack of sportsmanship, but people were mocking them for singing Three Lions, a song about failure, self-mockery and hopelessness.

@chapu2006 I'd say I'm not a football fan but I got caught up in the atmosphere. Didn't sing Three Lions at all but heard it a fair bit. Sad England lost but they wilted in the second half. Ah well, at least we only have to wait one year until the next chance.

@Sunsy I'd love to watch Kiki's Delivery Service as well, that's one I haven't been able to find. But yeah those two are crème de la crème in terms of animated movies. Disney would have their work cut out to outclass Ghibli if they had more aggressive Western marketing.

@Snatcher I had the same experience with Berserk. I love both the manga and the weird anime adaptation, because they both bring good things to the table. Sadly, I got fed up with the series because the author still hasn’t finished it after close to 25 years, if I remember right.

@BloodNinja Well I have no idea why people hate super so much, yes some characters just power up out of no were, yes characters are strong for no real reason, but is Dragon ball, do you just want goku to win with ezzz?

@WoomyNNYes LOL, I'm to lazy of a writer at the moment, now if I was getting paid for it, that would be a whole nother story.

So, for the question game, I actually meant that I would ask a question similar to the ones I have examples of, and ask for your guys' answers, but we actually could go both ways, in which I ask a question similar to the examples I have, and if anyone has another example (like you guys choosing other companies), then you could do your own version of the question as well.

Yeah, Konami seems to be outsourcing their games more to other devs. Who knows, maybe they’re in the process of reviving them currently, they might just outsource them instead of making them in-house. I mean, if they aren’t able to make games like they used to when they first started, it’s smart to outsource to other companies until they get back up on their feet again.

Yeah, it does suck that Konami releases some of their games only on certain systems. I mean they could release their Arcade games on consoles, in areas of the world that arcades aren’t super huge. Oh, the subscription model service within a game, yikes. The subscription model service works with Switch Online, but within a game is taking it too far, IMO.

I just looked up BEMANI, as I didn’t know what it was, and I didn’t realize it was Konami gaming music division, I thought it was a game series.

You have a good business strategy for Konami with regards to bringing franchises back, and having a multi-platform approach with the various games. I know that Sega is starting to go back to a multi-platform approach, and it seems to be working for them, and it just makes good business sense.

Anyways, I only saw Nintendo’s E3 conference, (I usually just see theirs), but I heard... mixed results about the Non-Nintendo conferences. Oof, sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the Square Enid E3 conference. Yeah, that seemed to be the one that was considered the “worst” E3 2021 conference.

Like I told others, I actually meant it to be questions like those that I would ask for your responses from, but I’m going to do it, where I ask a question similar to the ones I posted about, and if you have your own version of those types of questions, then you can do that instead.

Yeah, they do seem to be doing a good job with that, although I feel that Microsoft has been hitting it out of the park, with the BC & Next-Gen Upgrades for Series X/S, and I don't even own a Series X (or S), or even a PS5 for that matter.

That's a really good question. My guess is that CD Projekt Red went public recently. It does look like they went public, but that happened all the back in 2009/2010, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. My other guess is that they were getting a lot of pressure from shareholders to release the game by the holiday season. I don't get why it was so buggy, considering it was delayed by around 8 months, IIRC.

That's a really, really good question. With No Man's Sky, they probably have everyone on the Hello Games team working to fix No Man's Sky, probably even other people who weren't initially working on the game itself. I know that No Man's Sky was pretty bad at launch, and I don't know how long it took for it to get "fixed", but I feel like Cyberpunk 2077 is in a worst state, than No Man's Sky was at launch (please let me know if this is incorrect), so I'm not sure if Cyberpunk 2077 will recover, even if it gets into a "top-notch" state (or just a playable state even), within the next year.

That sounds like a good plan for being the CEO of Nintendo. I feel like Grezzo has become a port/game assistance company for the Switch, so maybe they'll continue that. I told my friend this after this year's February Direct, but I feel like we're starting to enter (another) new phase with Nintendo, like we did at the Switch's launch.

I say this because...

1. Mii's seem to be making a comeback. (Miitopia, and Mario Golf: Super Rush)
2. Nintendo seems to be starting, emphasis on the starting, to bring its older games to Switch, such as 3D All-Stars, Skyward Sword HD, Miitopia, etc.
3. They seem to be reviving dormant series, such as Famicom Detective Club, and Advance Wars.

I believe we are now fully in the Shuntaro Furukawa era, and the Tatsumi Kimishima era seems to be behind us if that makes sense at all. What I mean by this is that, I feel that Nintendo is doing that fans what, but may not be a huge financial success, like reviving old series.

To answer your question about the documentary: I haven’t seen it, I’ve never been a huge fan of documentaries, especially documentaries that have topics that are as controversial as that. (Which is interesting because I like to know how things work, but if it’s something like that, where it's really serious/controversial topics, I tend to stay away from them, if that makes sense).

@SM3DASislit The mii's should have never needed a come back, they should have always been a thing LOL. But yes I'm pretty darn happy that mii's are coming back.

@Snatcher I’ve honestly never heard anyone complain about super, but then again not many friends in my social circle even know what DBZ is!

@BloodNinja Its mostly the DBZ fandom, they are like, die hard fans of the OG dragon ball, and for some reason they want super to be just like it??? I don't, its a different path its taking and I for one have no problem with it, I mean how could you? Like I said the power scaling can be a bit of the charts at times, but its anime/manga Stuff like that happens and this is dragon ball were talking about, the series were characters can power up really quickly.
