@Anti-Matter I mean, you're just looking in the wrong place. While modern rap and modern pop is pretty much garbage, modern music isn't all that bad. Rock and Metal are still going strong. Same with things like Jazz. You also have video game music, which keeps progressively becoming more and more well done.

Speaking about Looney Tunes, used to be I was really fan of them from Tazos chips during year 1996 - 2000. I also have ever drawn them as table calendar every year. My first attempt was started from year 2001, I drawn some Looney Tunes characters on a small thick papers, I colored them manually with color pencils and I pasted printed small calendar table onto the thick papers. I did hand drawing Looney Tunes calendars from year 2001 - 2003 before I changed into computer drawing on year 2004, I printed my first computer editing of Looney Tunes hand drawing onto disc shaped calendar. On year 2005, it was my first photo printing calendar of Looney Tunes hand drawing that I redesign the hand drawing into simple digital drawing with some random wallpapers taken from internet as the background. And it was my first time i add some Warner Bros cartoons such from Taz-Mania, Tiny Toons. Also, I started to use a logo with design like Final Fantasy style logo started from year 2005 with logo looks like FF V and the Looney Tunes personal calendars only last until year 2011 as I started to get bored to put some Final Fantasy logo style all the time. The ideas that I put into every Looney Tunes (or Warner Bros) calendars such as these trends:
2001 = Simple Wallpaper (full pages)
2002 = Half wallpaper on the left, some Gali monster cloth pattern from Monster Rancher 2.
2003 = Pretty similar as 2002 but the calendar I used was horizontal type, not vertical type as from 2001 & 2002, the months name I gave some Final Fantasy logo style.
2004 = DVD disc calendar, printed on Bufallo paper, first time using Corel Photopaint.
2005 = Hyper futuristic style calendar, FF V logo style, got some ideas from FF X-2, Armored Core, first time addition of Taz-Mania and Tiny Toon characters.
2006 = First square size calendar, first calendar using vector drawing by Corel Draw after got some short private course. Same futuristic style calendar with minimalized background. Some ideas I got from FF VI logo, Capcom Vs SNK 2, DDR, Kim Possible.
2007 = Hyper futuristic style calendar like 2005 with darker color theme, very FF VII.
The ideas I got from Codename Kids Next Door, FF VII summon (Bahamut Zero, Knights of the Round), first time I added with original character design from me as part of Non Warner Bros characters.
2008 = Futuristic calendar with FF VIII logo style, DDR SuperNOVA 2 style background. First time I added Road Rover character and I picked Bugs Bunny with Lola together as they looks like FF VIII logo.
2009 = The different one, back to natural style like FF IX. I used photo paper style and some paper notes as the calendar display with some realistic stationary objects as the decorative things. Very simplistic background, no fuzzy abstract wallpapers. First time I put characters from Xiaolin Showdown and Baby Looney Tunes.
2010 = Back to Futuristic style like 2008 with better design. The logo I used very FF X by using Wakko, Yakko & Dot from Animaniacs as represent of Magus Sisters.
2011 = The last Looney Tunes calendar I made as I started to felt bored with FF logo style all the time and I want to create something original, not copycat from other things. The logo I used very FF XI style with subtitle Anniversary instead of Online. The design was very simplistic futuristic that completely different than 2010 style. The calendar interface I got the idea from Beatmania IIDX with very minimalize background. Unlike previous years, I put the logo on the left for entire months.
@VoidofLight
My favorite music are Eurobeat style musics, 80's, 90's, Eurodance, Bubblegum, Euro Trance, Cyber Trance, Hardcore Trance, Hi NRG, J-Pop, BEMANI games music.
I will turn off the musics such as from Sean Paul, Kanye West, Fatboy Slim, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, etc. Cannot even stand with such musics like that.
@Silly_GWhat software do you use to rip dvd/blu-ray? I have something, but it was so complicated, or made giant video mkv files, or something, I never wanted to use it again. (Miracle on 34th Street(high quality) was 4.5 gb, and pc's won't transfer files to thumbdrive that large, I've found. -ridiculous.) I still have a few dvd's I'd like to convert to mp4)
Magic DVD Ripper works the best for me. I've only had issues with very few discs.
The main benefit of this though is that it rips DVDs in their native MPEG format (no conversion) so you're getting 1:1 quality as the original. I absolutely do NOT recommend converting DVD files to other formats such as MP4 or MKV. It allows you to dump the entire DVD ISO as well.
There may be better programs out there, but this is what I mainly use.
I can't recall which software I use for Blu-ray, but it's not a 1:1 conversion (though it's very close).
Porygon did nothing wrong.

I hope everyone had a good weekend/4th of July (or just a good weekend, if you didn’t celebrate 4th of July).
For anyone who has sent me a response in the last few days, don’t worry. I’m not ignoring you, I’ve been busy (again), and hope to get responses out within the next couple of days, just wanted to update you guys.
I’m going to repost a question that I posted in here a while ago, but I don’t believe anyone responded to it.
I'm thinking of starting a question game, where I ask things like:
How do you feel about (insert company here) or what do you think of (insert company here) doing with X thing?
Can someone please tell me why (insert question about company or person here)?
A scenario like: You're the new CEO of a company your company has quite a few things to fix, what do you fix first?
These are just some of the questions I can think of.
I'm wondering what you guys think about that, and if that's something you all would be interested in doing here in the Chit Chat Thread.
Also, I saw this video a couple of days ago when I was scrolling YouTube, and thought it was amusing.
Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔
As @Sunsy said,
Ninjala Gang FOR LIFE!
Also, if I don't respond to your post within a day (or two), don't worry, I'm not ignoring you. I'm going to be busy, though I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion.
Hey, people. Sorry for the late replies, AGAIN. It seems to become a recurring issue of mine, lately...
Next to almost no time for gaming, catching up with replies is also starting to become part of my back log, apparently.
I'm also partially suspecting a personal sentiment of the site not being what it used to be anymore, and certain topics I neither care for nor like seeping into the Chit-Chat thread, which was once my favorite hideout on this site, largely due to all the cool people hanging around here, but also because I didn't have to deal with the ever growing amount of basement dwelling individuals lurking around in the various comments sections...
Anyways, I don't want to dwell on it, nor do I wish to point out details, or it might result in the exact thing that I'd like to prevent, so moving on...
@Tyranexx As for how sleep I'd usually get: normally, I'd say around six hours, so currently, it's roughly two hours less per day, but as mentioned before, I do take a long nap after dinner, sometimes involuntarily, because I just fall asleep without noticing, but hours spent sleeping in an actual bed are definitely too few.
Hope you're not too much under the weather anymore, and I can understand you taking another leave of absence if that would still be the case.
P.S.
Glad I got to read/browse through that Metroid article BEFORE it turned into a real mess. To be honest, as others have already mentioned, the article's byline could have been a little less controversial, because you simply KNOW what kind of reactions you'll get if you formulate it in any way that's multi-interpretable. Oh, well...
@TheJGG Yeah, the lyrics of that song hit me like a ton of bricks back then. Funny that they should, because it's actually a positive song, which was written both as a love song and as a promotional song for one of our more successful female ice skaters of that year.
Bonus points scored for not commenting on/mentioning the singer's modest size. A lot of people that I've tried to discuss his music with, actually comment and/or focus on that first, instead of just listening to his music, which is actually pretty damn good. He also writes for others and he was a judge in the first two seasons of The Voice over here.
As for not knowing Sanctuary: if you're even remotely interested in fantasy series about the super-natural, then you basically owe it to yourself to put it on your "to watch" list. Trust me, you will not regret it.
P.S.
Three things: Netflix is not a necessity and I myself have refused to try it for years, but ever since I finally jumped in last year, I've come to see the benefits of always having your own video rental service wherever you go, on whatever device you want. And they have some truly brilliant series and movies, so it's worth a try, at least.
Secondly, that video that you recommended to @Tyranexx was an absolute waste of my time. Not that it was intended for me, but the recommendation piqued my interest, so I decided to watch anyway. I don't like whiners, even if they do have valid points, and this guy comes across as a major whiner. Little in the sense of constructive commentary. Belittling, scolding, and thinking you know better than a company that'll make more money in a day than you'll make in a year. And justifying piracy to ultimately get what he wants (and seems to think he deserves) as well...
Because of the way it was all put together, and the demeanor it was in, it more or less immediately invalidated any and all justified points he made in it. In principle, I fully agree with the critique, but it could have been formed with less whining and in a far more constructive way.
And last but not least, your food photography needs... a "little" work. That just looked like a stack of burned baked potatoes to me, and something I'd immediately shove in the bin, if that was ever the result of my cooking.
Anyway, the entire P.S. part is just my two cents on things that weren't meant for me in the first place, so feel free to ignore it and I hope I didn't step on your toes too hard...
@ogo79 Oof, I can understand from a collector's point of view that you would want to have that book, but it sure features some ugly, cheap looking toys. And nearly all of them have stolen the body of He-Man, apparently...
To balance out the criticism, here's a video that I thought you might like:
@TheJGG I think a lot of people haven't realized website comments/forums aren't the same as social media. On Facebook, Instagram, it's a dynamic of mostly friends, some or most people know you in real life. Or it's at least, a gathering of more like-minded people.
Whereas a website's comments/forum, it's literally a gathering of strangers from around the world that you know nothing about. It's a different dynamic that requires a more awareness and maturity to recognize what things are likely to cause people to pile on & argue. That, and how-to-act, or being constructive in comments/forums amongst strangers isn't something that parents/teachers really teach. Or, maybe that's a flawed hypothesis.
Couldn't have said it any better. I'd probably have mentioned something about idiots and wanting to smash some of their faces in, or against each other, so your comment is FAR more subtle. My compliments.
On a side note: more often than not, after my initial anger about stuff like that subsides, I usually also am able to formulate such pearls of wisdom, but I'm a VERY outspoken and direct person, so usually, the first thing that comes to mind just rolls off the tongue, sometimes resulting in others either being hurt or angry, but back in the day, I never cared, because I just wanted to be me. Nowadays, I'm still me around new people, but I'm me in moderation, and if I feel that they're ready to handle more of me, I'll ever so slowly turn the dial up all the way to 100 percent, over time...
P.S.
I certainly wouldn't mind joining you in having one of those chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches...
@Snatcher That new He-Man trailer you posted on page 2667 is not working, so I'm still none the wiser...
I clicked "quote" to see if I could use your link directly, and from that, I gathered what you did wrong:
You posted the link like this:
While it should simply be the entire link that you'll see if you go to the YouTube page of that video, so it should start with "https" instead of with "youtube". Perhaps the confusion comes from the fact that in the regular comments sections underneath articles, we actually do use the shortcut commands that begin with "youtube" and then the video code.
Had you left out the https part and the second double colon, then it probably would also have worked here...
Anyways, here's your video in all its originally intended glory:
@Zuljaras Forgot to mention you in my comments catch-up text wall...
Good to hear that the story of the bear ended on a positive note for now, and compliments on the progress of the statuette for ogo. It definitely looks cool.
@SM3DASislit You thought the video was assuming? I suppose you meant to say "amusing"?
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Snatcher No, you don't have to use any command at all on a forum page. Just post the entire YouTube link and the video will automatically appear. Just click "quote" on my comment that displays the video correctly, and you'll see what I've done.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Zuljaras And you're very welcome again. Credit where credit's due, I'd say. I always enjoy your creations.
P.S.
Once you're ready to send it to ogo, just use lots of bubble wrap. That'll help keep it in one piece, regardless of how rough postal services may handle the package.
@Snatcher Cool video, by the way. Really sets the stage for what might just (finally) become a successful revival of one of the coolest animated series that ever existed.
@TheJGG I agree with horror stuff getting plugged. The fun part of the game is that it's suppose to trick you. I still hope people enjoy it regardless, it is more fun not knowing what the game is about going into it. Honestly, the potential spoilers had me worried they would be mentioned in a review. Actual DDLC spoiler: It amuses me how they did the other twist, as the original game relied on you going through files on your computer's actual OS. Haven't played the new one, but saw a clip of it because curiosity. I know the story, and both endings.
Yeah, I will also add that the two new characters are shown at the end of the first movie. Didn't pick up on it until I watched it recently. Planning to see a sequel, so might as well watch the first. Still will say my favorite parts of Boss Baby was Tim's imagination, forgot all about that part. Really a fun element of the first movie.
Hmmm, I wonder what movie that is. Guessing he's gotta go fast.
So I have Started reading DBZ Super, So far i'm on CH 2 and I have no issues or gripes with it, Plus I heard the manga was better then the anime, and falls in line better, Now I'm not going into this trying to hate it, and i'm not going into this thinking its going to be better then Dragon ball z, or even be like it, its going to be different, so lets just see if they manege to do it right.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!
