@ThanosReXXX Well that my take, That what I got from watching it years ago, but to each is there own.

If you want you can look up the new thundercats, bc you don't even need to watch it to see what i'm talking about. I have to compare the new He man shows to see what your fully talking about, and then I will reply on that later.

Thanks. 😀
That was my hand drawing 20 years ago when I was teenager (Senior High School student to college student).

Rode paved pumptrack for four hours today in the hot sun. My body is spent. I thought I'd only be there an hour tops, but there were some nice people there riding today. And I had two large, cold, insulated water bottles, and a lemonade tea, for a pick me up.

No games for me today That stuff's for nerds.😠🤪 (played Rocket League yesterday, got my diamond rank back in 3v3 matches.)

@TheJGG Seems as though we're in agreement on that article: Decent written content, but a title that could've been phrased a LOT better.

Again, no pressure on when you get back to me; we all have lives to live off the internet, after all! I don't quite have time to watch that full video right now, but I'm bookmarking it for viewing later. I'll be sure to comment on it further when I do view it. As I mention that, I just realized I still haven't watched the second Nintendo Treehouse segment for Metroid Dread.... It's at least the last segment I wish to view! XD

Oof, good catch on A Hat In Time; I didn't think to look into the file size! 16 GB is no laughing matter. I have a 256 GB micro SD to work with, but I'd rather it stay in service for several years before it reaches capacity lol. Looks like there's a physical release, so I might think about grabbing that for a reasonable price. Still going back and forth between if I want to jump straight into Ys IX or play VIII first. Normally I would've waited a bit to grab the former, but Falcom games tend to be vaporware after a few months. That's a LOT of hours for Stardew Valley over the last three weeks! I should take a week off work just to game and do other leisure activities....

Glad to learn Three Houses has some very robust lore; I love well-crafted lore in games, I can really get into it if I become interested enough. In my World of Warcraft days, I used to spend hours reading about something or other. The 3DS Fire Emblem games deserve to be ported. It's easy for me to recommend most of them for some or many aspects. Story, mechanics, characters, interesting maps....The series can be pretty fun! As for the BotW DLC, are we talking about the Master Cycle Zero? I'm aware it exists and can't wait to get my hands on it!

I actually haven't seen a lot of footage on Sonic '06. Out of morbid curiosity, I just might look up that kissing scene! As for Jim Carrey, I wasn't even aware he was still making movies (shows how out of touch I am with some aspects of Hollywood more than anything) until he appeared in the Sonic trailer. I agree, he's very talented and fits into most roles like a hand into Robotnik's glove. You're making me want to track down Dumb and Dumber even more at this point! I looked up a couple of clips after my last post. The IOU bit still kills me!

Pandemic-wise, it's definitely easier to avoid people where I am. The closest grocery store is also about ten minutes from here if one drives. As for clothes, I probably wasn't very clear: I dislike clothes shopping. I'll look for and buy something if I genuinely need it, but I get no joy from trying things on for hours on end. I'd rather just grab a couple of outfits; my mother and sister would rather throw a huge pile into my arms. /shudder It's a lot of time and bother, more than I care to invest most of the time. I do sleep with white noise - I run a fan - but that's more to help drown out the early morning traffic that passes near my home. I do prefer low noise environments in general. Less distractions that way.

Freaky. So Google Maps even recorded where you stayed? On one hand, it probably helps link a couple of missing location pieces when someone can't recall where exactly they've been. That sort of tracking can be useful for security, information, and data purposes, but it's a two-way street. So...I believe I'm also of two minds. Due to my field, I'm somewhat cautious on data tracking in general however.

Accents are fun! I don't have to code mine often, but you certainly pick up on differences when traveling to a region with a different dialect. The fun part is that those out of the Upper Midwest (Chicago, Milwaukee, etc.) think that some people around where I live have Southern accents; maybe from their perspective, but those people clearly haven't been to parts of Kentucky or Tennessee. “Con-troversy”, if I'm saying it correctly, is definitely a new one on me. You nailed the American pronunciation.

I hope that swimming lesson went well! It's warm enough here that I wouldn't mind jumping into a pool for a bit. I'm salivating thinking about that wagyu sandwich! I'm sure that English roast, while not the most flattering visually, was quite tasty! Not too much different from the pot roast I sometimes ate growing up. Though I've never had Yorkshire pudding. A quick web search shows that there's something similar in the US called a "popover", but I've never had those (or, before now, heard of them) at all.

Already visited the ancient pyramids, did we? Still, sounds like there's plenty of nice, refreshing water in your future! Dairy Queen is a fast food chain, your typical burger/French fries/soda/ice cream provider. Not as populous as McDonald's, and I'd argue the former's food (and ice cream) are better. DQ is really famous for their Blizzard ice cream treats. Is Coldstones similar to Cold Stone Creamery in the States? None of those are near here, but I've been to one! Very good ice cream. (Note: I'm usually not picky about where my ice cream comes from!) I bake on occasion, but I'm not a hobbyist and more do it for an event or reunion I'm going to. Probably a good thing - I'd be too tempted to go crazy on some of my creations!

@Anti-Matter Yeah, I think you did use the wrong word. Pervert is a negative word, and almost makes Pepe sound like a criminal, when it's just innocent love sickness.

@Snatcher That's the thing, though: it's not so much about a personal take on things, but about the actual facts and the original intent of the cartoon. Perhaps both you and Anti are just too young to be able to put these old cartoons in the right context, because you'll always be looking at them through today's eyes, and that's just not the right way to look at it. Anyway, let's leave it at that, and move on from Pepe to more interesting stuff, like He-Man.

Here's an episode of the original cartoon, so you can better understand what I mean:

And if you liked that, then here's a 3 hour marathon of episodes. And here, you'll find one of the full length He-Man movies of the 80's, which happens to be a crossover with the original She-Ra cartoon, so you can have a look at the original version of that one as well.

P.S.

In case you don't have the time right now to watch them, but would like to do so later, then you might want to install 4K Video Downloader, which allows you to download any and all YouTube videos. I use it all the time, to store stuff on external drives and then watch it on my TV.

If you're gonna use it, I'd recommend downloading the offline installer initially (just click on the small arrow next to "Online Installer" to open the rest of the menu for Windows, so you can select the proper one for your version of Windows). For updates and so on, you'll automatically use the online installer anyways, but I always use full installers instead of online ones, the first time I install a program, just in case.

@ThanosReXXX But you see, thats kinda how I have always seen him, even before all this political stuff, I have seen him that way for a long time and that was the message I got from the cartoon. But don't get me wrong, I can fully see, And me, find the cartoon very funny, I never did once find it offensive, I don't think he needed to be adjusted or removed from the cartoons at all, Nor do I agree with it, Maybe the word pervert is a little rough, I guess he just wasn't very idk but I think pervert would be the wrong word here, bc he is not a pervert in that sense, Maybe you have a better word for it, And when I said it was about violation I simply meant that the cartoons never said it was okay to begin with, so removing him from space jam mad no sense, I hope you can get what i'm saying or if i'm making any sense.

@ogo79 No need No amount of money will ensure not breaking the sculpture. Also it can't be generally broken like in half because the armature inside is weaved in such a way that it is beneath all the clay.

Only the sword has 1 cm of clay that is without something hard inside (gigity!).

I will make sure to pack it well

you got me scared lol.
guess what happened to me today?
one of the skeleton posters i ordered came in, there was a knock at the door and the poster came shipped in a box.
it was bent in half and smashed.
the poster was folded up like an accordion. i am so pissed.
yall guys have no idea how pissed i am right now.

@ogo79 Oof, I can understand from a collector's point of view that you would want to have that book, but it sure features some ugly, cheap looking toys. And nearly all of them have stolen the body of He-Man, apparently...

To balance out the criticism, here's a video that I thought you might like:

those toys are actually meant to be knockoff bootlegs...and really some of them are a remake of old bootlegs lol. motu/he man collectors have moved on to these figures actually, as they are highly sought after. they sell out the day they launch on the official site. its been that way for years with these, i know you dont know all this stuff.
as far as that video goes, i seen it awhile back already

@ogo79 That sucks! There was only one time I got a shipment that was little broken. It was from LRG and the case of the Switch game was smashed on the edge. It is also concerning that it was the only time I did NOT donate to the Game Preservation on their site I hope it was coincidence!

wow.
anytime i ever shipped anything i wrapped box tape around it that says "fragile" on the tape.
i sent a buddy of mine from this site a package of over like 600 dollars worth of games and i was really concerned lol

@Sunsy I heard about that one, it'll be interesting to see how they managed to implement that on various home consoles. Hopefully that'll introduce me to some decent visual novels! Not only did I refer to Sonic, but also Hop (a movie from the ever terrible Illumination) involving James Marsden and a CGI rabbit played by Russell Brand. You could tell he was still suffering from his marriage to Katy Perry, it was nigh on atrocious.

@ThanosReXXX Handling PS. stuff first; I'll make it up to you and @Tyranexx for my awful photograph, with this one. It's a sticky toffee pudding. The lighting was rubbish in my original one so this one's sure to make you two salivate. I can also promise that it tasted infinitely better than the photo suggests!

While I do agree with the video being whiny, it doesn't and shouldn't detract from the main point, that Nintendo's legacy content track record is not very good. I've stated before that there was potential for a lot of effort and it wasn't there. I even remember joking that it could have been done by one person in a week. And I've listened to the guy's other work, like his video game "retrospectives", and they're very high quality listens. Whether this is a blotch in his copybook or not it's still a point that's better exposed than left behind and forgotten.

I had to look VanVelzen up to realise what you were talking about, he's THAT short? Well some people use this as their defining trait, like Peter Dinklage, who found his calling as the midget Tyrion Lannister. I'm still trying to work out just what kind of television I like, but I'll keep that rec for a rainy day! My thanks!

What you said to @WoomyNNYes... I can more or less say too. Moderating yourself until you know people'll put up with it is important. I've come across to friends as "in your face", and I can remember some of the most bizarre ways I met them. I met one friend by mistaking them for another of my friends, funnily.

One thing worth mentioning though, I wouldn't recommend just being honest if you know you're going to hurt someone, and then just calling it honesty. I'm not saying you've done it, far from it, but that caution will be rewarded greatly.

    • A scenario like: You're the new CEO of a company your company has quite a few things to fix, what do you fix first?

Great questions! I'll give 'em a shot, see how it goes...

I feel like Sony is doing a serviceable job with the PS4/5 upgrade scheme. They're giving players opportunities to play their games on better hardware, for free. I think some issues that've been raised recently (like the Ghost of Tsushima upgrade) are completely unfounded, and that people are complaining more or less for nothing.

I'd like to know why and how CD Projekt Red went from a lauded developer known for accessibility, listening to players, and transparency, to the eldritch horror that released Cyberpunk 2077 incomplete and buggy. And just how the hell Hello Games turned around No Man's Sky.

If I was the CEO of Nintendo I'd start by making better legacy content programs. Port some more Wii U games, and outsource some port job / collection projects to other studios (1-Up, Retro, Next Level Games, Camelot, Monolith, Saber, Panic Button), to tide people over while major first party titles are being developed (nothing changes there). Emphasis on collections, because it'll give people more value for their money without having to make an actual game.
