My one GBA SP that was in better condition had an accident with the washing machine (that happens when you keep them inside bags that look like plush animals!). So I’m considering buying a new, modified one. This time of the variety that uses AA batteries, since I think that would be easier to maintain long time.

What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience buying this sort of item? Or with this seller? It feels very expensive. But I don’t really see any cheaper options.

Don't you have a DS, since those play GBA games .... ? That'd probably be better but I've never used ebay & haven't had a DS for a long time, now

I have a GBA Micro in excellent condition, so I can certainly play the games if I want.

But mostly want a regular GBA to use with my GameCube (neither the Micro or a DS can connect to it), and I do worry about the battery life on my Micro.

My DS... Well... It's seen better days too. Poor thing.

@WoomyNNYes I don't make them cause I am lazy but they are sold all over in Japan in lots of varieties. I like most I have tried.

New Game Expo Plus 2020 will be today on 23 June 2020 at 10 pm in my country.
I will watch the presentation very carefully as i'm very sure there will be some rated 18+ games on it and i will quit watching for a while when i see something suspicious.
