I like DF, but I totally get what @Heavyarms55 is saying. It's not really a knock on DF, but how closely people hang on to all the little details they mention. DF is judging games based pretty much solely on their performance, which is fine cuz that's their thing, but it's causing normal people, who would not normally judge a game based only on its performance, to do just that.
Been pretty busy the last couple of days between IRL and Xenoblade. Did I miss anything?
Other than Anti going into DDR withdrawal, I mean.
@Heavyarms55 That's definitely a contrast from the house I grew up in. Mom really tried to keep it clean, but not immaculately so; she realized we were kids and thus could be pretty messy. Plus, when you live on a property with multiple animals (All outdoors...other than when we'd sneak a cat in for a few minutes... ) and a father who isn't very considerate about tracking things in like mud, straw, and worse, cleanliness was really hard to pull off long-term. Having high ceilings thanks to a loft/half a second floor was tough to manage, too.
As for my own house, I don't keep everything completely immaculate, but you can definitely tell I don't have kids. XD I can be a clean freak, but I'm admittedly selective about it.
I've always thought model cars are a neat hobby for those who are into them, but your dad kept them immaculately clean? That'd be pretty hard to do; I struggle with keeping some of my knickknacks clean since they're so hard to dust.
@ThanosReXXX Used or not, they still look nice, at least from the angle in the images provided.
Quite a game collection you have on those two. Most of my console games aren't really on display as I keep them in a cabinet of my entertainment center. The 3/DS games are all on a shelf in my room, however. I need to rearrange again at some point. I spend WAY more time than I care to admit doing that when the need hits me.
Out of that used furniture I mentioned, the recliner (which I do use quite a bit) has seen the most use. It looks better than it did since I used an upholstery cleaner on it, but it's definitely not as a cream-colored as it used to be in some areas.

@Tyranexx Well, I bought them new, at least the green ones in that picture, but they're almost 20 years old now, and as mentioned, the nylon straps inside the seat have begun to sag, so even though the wooden frame is still perfectly fine, the seats themselves aren't that comfortable anymore. Hence me also not using them as actual seats anymore.
As for the games on there: that's about 30 games per row, so roughly 90 per chair, and then of course all the ones stacked on top of that. As you can largely see, the collection consists out of OG Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii U and Switch games.
And on the left chair, a small collection of Blu-rays as well. Mainly superhero and wildlife movies. Two genres that I always feel show the full potential of that particular medium.
@ogo79 Wow, if I wouldn't be so confident, that might have really put a dent in my self-esteem or it could have been an insult to my cooking prowess. What it ACTUALLY is, is a stir fry of chicken thigh fillet with mixed vegetables (carrot, onion, green beans, zucchini, bell peppers, paksoi) in a spicy sweet & sour sauce.
And because it's kinda spicy, I add the pineapple to counter/balance that.
i didnt realize you cooked that lol
guess my taste buds are very simple mr gordon ramsay
i seen the pineapple and had to take a jab at you
no one is safe from my pineapple on food insults

@NintendoByNature@HobbitGamer No rush, I took a month, just to be able to take the time to exchange goods and visits, so feel free to get to it whenever you have the time.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@NintendoByNature What’s your experience with the Lite so far, in relation to the size of the screen, D-pad, and how it feels to hold in comparison to the regular Switch?
I rarely play docked, so I was considering grabbing the one with lovely aqua blue color.
@ThanosReXXX ok cool. I should Be good tomorrow if you're good. @NotTelevision it feels pretty nice. Sturdier than mine actually. The dpad is rock solid, the screen isnt as small as youd think, and the overall feel isn't cramped either. I don't get my hands on it that much, but i think hobbit does. He might give more insight.
Quite honestly, I would personally only play indie games, or 2d platformers with It, because of the dpad. I wouldn't trade in my v2 for a lite personally, just because i like having t.v. as an option, even though i rarely get to use it.
@Link-Hero No, serious. The Mad Titan doesn't joke around about things like that. So, if you like, you can visit my rock in the Animal Crossing ocean. Just sent you a friend request.
@Tyranexx Yeah I don't live up to my Dad's standards either. My apartment is very disorganized but I do make a strong effort to avoid dirt and trash. lol

@ThanosReXXX True, age + use takes its toll on just about anything sooner or later, no matter how well-built it is.
The game collection is impressive on its own, and I'm not surprised by the hero movies. What sort of wildlife movies pique your interest? I like the occasional documentary or tidbit on nature. I was actually binging some YT clips on a British zookeeper in Australia raising Sumatran tiger cubs a few nights ago.
I would love to visit your AC island, but there are two complications: 1. I don't have NSO yet (though will likely cave before too long due to wanting to backup saves) and 2. I don't own Animal Crossing just yet. The invitation is duly noted for future visits whenever they might occur.
@Heavyarms55 Dirt and trash: two things I also try to avoid. I try to keep my house at least somewhat dust-free. It gets a turnover every couple of weeks lol.

I got a Lite when they came out as well, @NotTelevision .... Games look & run really well on it, the d-pad is great & I hardly even notice that the screen is a little smaller
