@WoomyNNYes Slow blinking in both canines and felines means a sign of acceptance or being comfortable/alright with you being around. So, if that's a trail that you're going to frequent a lot more often, chances are that you'll also see that fox more often, provided he picked up and remembers your scent. Definitely inner circle stuff, there.

@bimmy-lee Good to know. I'll make a mental note of "paths not to tread", for future reference...
And thus, we got to know each other a little better.

Which, regardless of any argument, is always a good thing in my book.

@bimmy-lee @thanosrexxx Yeah, I've ONLY seen foxes while driving at night. Never in the day like this. There was a strangely submissive, maybe even playful nature with this one. I wondered if the fox was trying to distract me from a den with cubs. But yeah, I go buy this spot on the paved trail often. I'm definitely going look around next time.

Did you say you wanted to see cows, too? 🤪This wooded, paved trail borders on a field of cows, too. Since I didn't grow up around a farm, and I'm allergic to cats & dogs (a cruel joke), I stop by the cows, especially since there are baby cows. Enjoy the calming sounds of a cow cooling off & walking through a spring fed, mud bath.

@WoomyNNYes The cows around here are noisy before and after rain. Somebody also has alpacas up the road, and there's a horse ranch too. It's the farm land suburbs.

@bimmy-lee coming from someone who sunk hundreds of hours into nba jam as a kid, and didn't have too many issues with the first one, I can tell you it's awesome, and worth the 8 bucks. The roster of course needs to be unlocked, but........MJ is unlockable! I only had 1 game growing up where i could be mj, and that was bulls vs blazers on genesis. Which wasn't the best game. I'm having a great time with It, honestly. Each game is a nice and short 3 min or 5 min depending on what mode you choose. I don't want to tell you how to buy your games but knowing your into sports, and nba jam, I think youd have fun.

@WoomyNNYes - The pasture and mudhole are definitely cow paradise right there. That’s probably a nice, free range grass fed beef farm, correct?

@NintendoByNature - Haha, MJ is in there?!? I had no idea, seems like they’d want to make that really obvious, or maybe I’ve been dense. I also played the crap out of EA’s Lakers/Celtics and Bulls/Blazers. You can win by 40 against the computer every time by simply switching MJ to center after the opening tip. The defenders don’t switch or double, and the other team’s center tries to pick him up in the back court. You can dunk from the free throw line every possession or take an open three. Works for any non center. Good times.

The only other game I’ve had with him on the roster was NBA Street Vol 2. That’s one I’d put right up there with Jam. It has at least two Jordan’s; ‘85 Dunk Champ and ‘96 GOAT. I have a memory of Wizards Jordan on the roster too, but I’m not positive. I’ll definitely consider this one after your recommendation. I really need to get SOR4 in my Switch, but I’d also enjoy some arcade basketball.

I messaged for an impromptu roundup with you and Hobbit last night in AC, but you guys must have been playing something else. I missed the message about friends online when I fired up.

@bimmy-lee yea it's really cool. I like that they also have diff versions of players. So far I've seen pistons Rodman. But they also have 98 rodman with his hair. I really think it's cool you can get the same player on different teams. There's also a season mode. Managed to win the ship in 2 days with the bulls( rose, Dunn, maarkenan) 😋. Granted, each game is 3 min, and it's a 15game reg season, along with best of 3 play offs. Nonetheless, it's still really fun.

The unlock rate isn't as easy as the first game, but I guess it's nice having a challenge.

I haven't played ac in almost 2 weeks. Been trying some other stuff to change up the pace. Guarantee I have people who left, and overgrown weeds. Oh well, I'll fire it up for the next big event, unless we want to do a weekly island visit, I would 100% get back in for some multiplayer fun with you and hobb.

WoomyNNYes

@bimmy-lee Yeah, I reckon "free range" is accurate They're angus cows, and they hang out all day in a huge open field, partially wooded, and they eat the grass. Sounds about right The family sells produce there out of their own store, but I've never seen anything talk about the cows or beef. We buy corn from them every summer, but nothing has been planted in their corn fields this year - I'm assuming due to outbreak related reasons.

Very busy, chaotic last couple of days. Besides working, my new refrigerator showed up yesterday, which brought on some adulting. Glad that the old monster is currently in my garage waiting for my dad to haul away (when it happens). The old one functions, but I was having some issues with it. Later on I picked up some pizza, participated in raid hour in Pokemon Go, and caught three Reshiram total; it's a hard one!

After all that, I got home and found I had a couple of work emails. One...well...didn't have the best news. It took some time to process. Starting this coming Monday, most of the 400+ personnel in the company I work for, barring those most integral to internal operations, are on furlough without pay for the foreseeable future. Today it was confirmed to me that I'm one of those people. Thankfully we're still retaining our company benefits during this time, but I'll have to file for unemployment next week. First time I've had to do that, so it'll be...interesting, I'm sure.

The irony is that some restrictions around my state are starting to loosen up, but it's still one of the more locked-down states in the grand scheme of things. Unfortunately, my parent company's main revenue stream is highly reliant on restaurants/bars/etc. being open to indoor customers, none of which is allowed at this time. Some of my own team is staying on to provide support and maintenance for our own customers (Our subset of the company sort of does our own thing along with providing services for our parent company, yet many of our clients are in different areas of the country and beyond), but the rest of us are taking a mandatory unpaid vacation in the meantime. The decision was regrettably made with much thought.

My personal reaction is...mixed, to say the least. I really like the team of people I work with; honestly, this is probably the most non-toxic work environment that I've been in. I actually like my job, and believe me when I say we have enough backlogged requests to keep us busy for awhile. I'm glad that I still have a job at the end of the tunnel, but where and when that tunnel ends, I have no idea. We're hoping it's only for a month tops, but that'll depend on my parent company's calls as well more than one body of authority in IL. Part of me isn't too fussed about "time off" (yay, more hobby time!), but eventually I'm gonna get tired of sitting around my house and will long to be more productive.

Pardon the double post, didn't want the previous one to become too lengthy.

...Oh, and I'll probably not be around much the next day or two either; a certain remastered JRPG will be taking up a LOT of my time for the foreseeable future.

@ThanosReXXX Not adhering to a schedule and behaving more organically while traveling definitely isn't a bad approach. All that does is cause stress in some situations. It's a struggle I have sometimes when I want to see X things and have to fit them into smaller vacation slots. XD I'm odd where I like to plan out everything in advance - I'm not one for winging it a majority of the time - but I also dislike being hurried around when on a schedule. That latter part has caused some contention on family vacations.

But yes, I'd argue there's plenty to do in the Midwest as well. There's more here than just corn and humidity.

@NotTelevision Dollywood still had Blazing Fury three-four years ago when I went. It's an interesting ride and kind of reminds me of Fire In The Hole, a similar ride at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. That's a park I'm a bit more familiar with. Both locations are owned by the same company IIRC. The animatronics are a bit dated, true, but I like learning how dark rides like that create some of their effects.

Many of the rides are indeed state-of-the-art. I'm a huge rollercoaster fan and can recommend most of what I rode in the park. Just watch Tennessee Tornado; it's an older Arrow Dynamics coaster that has a bit of a hard stop when heading back to the station. Bonked my knee a little lol.

@Heavyarms55 I haven't evolved it yet, but I'm glad to learn that shiny Bronzong is a nicer green! Bronzor's line is one of the better Gen 4 designs IMO.

@BruceCM Still on a YT music binge, eh? I'm quite fond of Rhythm Is A Dancer, even with that "controversial" line. It's just a dated phrase, not necessarily an insulting one IMO.

@Tyranexx I'm a fan, even if it did get nerfed pretty heavily from gen 5 on. What with the big explosion nerf, and then in gen 6 when steel type in general got nerfed. Bronzong was one of the best leads in gen 4, set up stealth rock, maybe rain dance, and then: BOOM!

On my way home yesterday I nabbed a shiny Croagunk! Not the best shiny but not bad at all!

@NintendoByNature @bimmy-lee I might could do some island play this weekend. Work has been a brain drain. Just look up the Georgia budget cuts and you could guess.

What are some games that feature astral projection?

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.

@Heavyarms55 I don't personally participate in the competitive scene of Pokemon, but I do know that time hasn't been kind to some of the older 'Mon in that regard. I did know about the Explosion nerf, and the introduction of Fairy types definitely changed the scene. Besides the design, Psychic/Steel is a pretty awesome type combination. I slightly prefer Metagross, however.

Congrats on the shiny Croagunk! I was keeping an eye out for both that one and shiny Glameow when I was out earlier, but no luck.

I don’t see many people praising it, but I think the best game on the collection is Knights of the Round.

@Tyranexx It's not that time hasn't been kind to some older mon, it's just various changes in mechanics over the years that have made some Pokemon better and some worse. A good few older Pokemon have gotten a lot better over the years and some have gotten outright stat buffs.

Metagross is one of my favorites too. I really hope he comes back in the DLC. I feel like he'll be really good in VGC so long as they do not bring Landorus back. And his shiny is one of the absolute best! And he is my go-to gym killer in Pokemon Go.

The thing about Bronzong is that he is mostly a support Pokemon and a defensive Pokemon and in XY the changes made steel less defensive, losing it's resistance to ghost and dark, but more offensive being super effective vs fairy. (On another note Max steel in SW/SH is probably one of the top 3 dynamax moves)

My dream to get Paper Mario TTYD gamecube is already over. 😓
The game on Tokopedia has been bought by someone after several months i watched over. The game was unbuyable on Ebay due to insane prices.
I have to forget Paper Mario TTYD. Goodbye... 😢

Now i will embrace the new Paper Mario The Origami King for Nintendo Switch on this July 2020. 😀
Quite excited but i will wait for more gameplay trailers.

@Tyranexx Well, I'm not always strictly adhering to any schedule when I travel abroad, but normally, when you go on holiday in a European location, you get your hotel, apartment or bungalow residence, and you hang around there, or go to the beach, and maybe visit some sites, like ancient ruins or whatever.

But when you visit a country as big as the US, with SO much to see, and you go there with the knowledge that you will not have either the funds or the time to go and see all there is to see, then I definitely DO see the sense in planning and making an itinerary, because while I'm there, I'd want to make the most of it.

Although, as mentioned, if we ever succeed in actually realizing this meet up with the Chit-Chat locals, then it would probably just be "so, what else is there to do around here, besides drinking beer and having a BBQ while sitting 'round a campfire and sharing stories?".
