@BruceCM Over here, we had a CD series called "Turn Up The Bass", but I don't know if that was an international thing or only a local one. They were good compilations, though.
@WoomyNNYes Ah, you beat me to it. I had to do some household chores, and was planning to come back and ask if anyone was going to watch the launch. I'm pretty hyped for it myself, and I hope that all is gonna go as good as it possibly can. Wouldn't want to see the first manned Space-X launch end up as a catastrophe.
And I also heard that it could still be canceled/delayed, due to the weather, so I guess we're gonna have to wait and see. But I hope it's a go for today, because it is of great importance, and not just for the US.
Not sure about those, specifically, @ThanosReXXX .... But it was in some pop & dance ones I saw around it's 1st release, then I noticed it in relatively recent compilations, too, so it certainly got around well
Funny thing is, that most of these album links also feature a YouTube video of the ENTIRE album on their "where to buy" page, so you could either listen to those or even download them for free, to listen to whenever you want.
That same site also offers free "YouTube to mp3" converters, so you could turn these free videos I mentioned into something that you could add to a playlist, or burn into a CD again, if you'd wish to do that...
@ThanosReXXX On Firefox, I use Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express add-on, by Dishita. I donated for premium, although some stuff is avialable without premium. You can get mp3 & mp4.
There use to be a better app, but it hasn't been updated since Jan 5, 2020 and no longer works.
Heh, it's been a long time since I had any CD player but those certainly seem similar, at least, to ones we did have here, @ThanosReXXX ..... I don't really listen to that much music, since games have their own & I'm playing those a lot, though I used to be familiar with downloading videos & making MP3s out of them when I had a player for those, though! I still have some add-ons for Firefox from those days, as well
@WoomyNNYes@BruceCM To be honest: browser add-ons for such purposes suck big time. Nowadays, as Woomy mentioned, you need to buy premium accounts to make full use of them. The desktop app I just linked to, allows you to download anything up til 4K for free, even if browser plugins don't, so I prefer to use a downloader that's standalone, and not tied to a browser, nor do I use these so-called online downloaders, where you can paste a YouTube or other video link.
Just give it a try, and you'll see.
Oh, and @BruceCM, you don't need an mp3 player anymore: we put mp3's on our smart phones nowadays...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Yeah, I just don't have any music on my phone, since I so rarely listen to it, though .... Probably why I haven't needed to use video downloaders for a long time, to realise they weren't as good these days
@BruceCM It's probably due to the massive rise of them. I used to use the same one that @WoomyNNYes uses, and a couple of others, because each of them had their own advantages, but much like with everything that becomes too big for its own good, the quality and functionality of these kinds of add-ons rapidly declined, either having options locked behind premium subscriptions, or just being hampered by sites themselves, because nasty corporations like Google and such, don't really take too kindly to all kinds of individuals downloading all their videos for free...
At one point, YouTube adapted/implemented a new protocol, I believe since last year, where they separate audio and video streams for any videos of full HD quality and upwards, meaning that you either accept that you can only download 720p maximum, or you can't download them at all anymore with these apps, or only without sound, and then only to a maximum of 1080p.
And besides all that, you'd also have to do a separate download for the audio stream, and then combine the video and audio yourself. Now, in and of itself, that isn't all that hard, if you use another handy free tool that I use, called "XMedia Recode", but 4K Video downloader does all of that automatically, so why bother, right?
And as mentioned, that program will offer ANY and all download options available, so if you can stream/watch a YouTube video in 4K, then you can also download it in 4K with this program.
Here's some screenshots. Probably more for @WoomyNNYes than for you, but they serve their illustrative purpose:
And now I can almost already hear @WoomyNNYes say: "but that also has an activation option, meaning it also has a premium version". And while that is true, the ONLY difference between the free and paid version here is that you can't download ENTIRE playlists (and personally, I think "why would I even want to do that?" because you can just download the videos separately) at once, and you have the odd ad banner in the lower part of the screen while the app downloads and converts the separate audio and video streams, but they aren't annoying or intrusive ads.

@ThanosReXXX@BruceCM I've never paid for a Firefox add-on before this. I was tired of my favorite app or download site not working reliably. $10 was the minimum donation, so I went for it. It only works only if I have the Firefox shield turned off, as far as I can tell. If I clear my cookies, I have to load the paid verification webpage that they sent me in an email (which i bookmarked). But it works. mp3(256 or 128 kbps) mp4 video( 360p, 720p, 1080p).
@BruceCM Put the link in your favorites, or just give me a heads up whenever you come across a video that you think is worthwhile having, and I'll send you the link again.
@WoomyNNYes Yeah, that sounds like a lot of trouble, just for a sub par or 1080p max video download. And I'd definitely never pay for that, regardless of how small of an amount. With any and all Windows-related programs,
I just search and search AND search, until I get exactly what I want, and 4K Video Downloader provides just that, in the case of being able to grab full quality YouTube videos.
What else would the use be of watching 4K videos, or even 2K, if you can't even download them in their full resolution? And even then: YouTube still uses some horrible compression algorithms, so none of the resolutions is native anyway, but I'd always want the highest available, regardless. And it looks SO good on my living room TV...
Sometimes, I just put some on a USB stick or on my external HDD, and then play them on the big screen.
My monitor does display at 1600x1200, but for some reason, it still doesn't look as good as my TV.
@ThanosReXXX Yeah, that's what I do. I'll put a bunch of videos on a usb drive for watching on tv. (this same usb drive has seasons 3-8 of The Simpsons too.)
Hey, do you by chance know of a easy to use sound editor for PC? Every once in a while I need to edit an audio file to make a ring tone. Just curious if you knew anything off hand.
Most ringtones that come on android pohnes make me tense or annoyed, so sometimes I make my own. Like, I have one of katydids. It never makes me tense. But it's easy to hear. http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/walker/buzz/media/141ss1.mp3
I did see Nero Wave Editor being mentioned in the last one, which is one I did use back in the day, when I still converted mp3's to CD audio, and I was always content with it, but as mentioned in the article, it is more for the basic user, although it does have a decent range of options.
Either way, I suppose you should be able to find what you need in at least one of those lists.
On a totally unrelated side note: bummer about the postponed launch, huh? I was REALLY looking forward to it.
So I've been slowing watching through the Runawayguys charity stream they did last month and I have to say - it's really helped save my opinion of people. Lately I've seen nothing but what seemed like an endless stream of negativity and selfishness - people more upset by not being able to get a haircut than by thousands dying unnecessarily to a horrible disease, for example. And I was starting to feel like apathy and selfishness were just the norm.
But then seeing this charity stream and so many people donating so much to help made me remember there are good people too. There are kind and compassionate people out there. And it was a very needed reminder.
It's also hilarious that people donated 6000 dollars to charity and forced them (and everyone else) to watch the Gamecube Game Boy player - with only the disk and no Game Boy game - for 30 minutes. Trolls. Generous trolls, but trolls. XD

A fox jumped off the paved trail, then sat down facing me, and slow blinked me. Doesn't that mean the fox LoVeS Me!!🤪 Ive only seen foxes while driving at night. Never while on foot/on a bike. .... or one that sits down and hangs out. Forgive the low resolution. I was fully zoomed.
Had a nightmare last night where I was waiting in a line to play VR AC in what was basically the XMen’s simulation room, and when it was finally my turn, it was nothing but frustrating inventory management, incorrect item placement, and almost every time I tried to drop something out of my pockets; there wasn’t room where I was trying to drop it. It was horrible.
@NintendoByNature - I almost picked it up last time it was on sale, but didn’t. How do you like it? How’s the roster and controls? I remember some people being put off by how you get shots and dunks. I love NBA Jam and Street, but I’ve read this is more sim than those games even though the characters are cartoonish.
@WoomyNNYes - Awesome video. People can’t see foxes unless foxes allow people to see them, so you were definitely chosen by that fox. You should try to get back to that spot from time to time because you two are friends now.
