@ThanosReXXX - I looked him up on Billboard just for fun, and obviously AP was a smash number one hit, and they had Vincent peaking at 12. I also saw it was a top 10 hit by other measurables and charts. That’s just the US. I’ve never put much stock into that sort of thing anyway. I don’t think “one hit wonder” is a definable term, especially across continents.
@ThanosReXXX got it and I agree. I usually get physical when i can, unless the discount is that aggressive, I'll just go digital. I recently grabbed nba playgrounds 2 for $7.50. I've seen physical copies for $20 here and there.
As for the Amason XC:DE listing, that's in fact physical, So I cant pass that up.
You lot have certainly been busy in this thread today. It moved over four pages since I last checked yesterday! XD Worked today and then did some chores and an errand. And, of course, some of Spotlight Hour in PoGo.
@Heavyarms55 Speaking of green shinies....I landed not one, but TWO shiny Bronzor during Spotlight Hour a little while ago. XD I like the look of them, and I may evolve one unless shiny Bronzong looks like garbage. Normally my shiny luck outside of Cday is pretty bad.
But yeah, I agree that some shinies don't look that great and could use some better recolors. I'm not too fond of puke green Teddiursa for example. I'm kinda glad I've missed out on that one so far.
@BruceCM Lol, how'd you know I like that song? XD Very appropriate where Tennessee is mentioned.
@ThanosReXXX Well, the US IS a large country. Depending on your interests, you can spend a lot of time sightseeing. I've been to quite a few states, but I have no experience at all with the Northeast, Southeast, and parts of the Southwest for that matter.
I've always pictured Bimmy as their caricature, NBN as Toon Link, and you in the certain likeness of a Mad Titan.

@bimmy-lee Well, there you go: no one hit wonder, then. And now that you know this for a fact, it's your civic duty to pick up and carry the torch of knowledge, and cure the collective American memory by spreading the wisdom across the land, lest poor mr. McLean and his heirs will remain forever plagued by this affront of a misunderstanding...
And why don't you put much stock in hit lists? It is after all related to sales and performance of artists, so it's not like it's some false kind of listing. They have to make those miles, to get to those top tens and onward, that doesn't just happen all by itself. Nowadays, with streams going up into the millions, it has become somewhat skewed and/or different, but those results and ratings from back in the day, do most definitely count as factual achievements.
As for ACTUAL one hit wonders: trust me, they DO exist, and all across the world. It's simply what I described before. I'll come up with a couple of examples later tomorrow, because right now, it's almost 3am over here, so time to call it a night. Laterrrrr!!!
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Tyranexx Well, by now, I've kind of learned how to make the same kind of scowl as my current avatar, and in my mind, I can snap unwanted individuals away, but luckily, my chin still doesn't look like a nut... ahem, anyway, moving on...
As for the sight-seeing: and that is EXACTLY why I won't be doing much of that, at least it all depends on how much time I'll be able to spend. For the meet with bimmy, NBN and any others that might wish to join, I wouldn't want to set some kind of fixed time slot. I'd like it to be organic, so I'd prefer to just let that go how it goes. Perhaps take a hotel/motel near wherever we meet, and then continue on the next day or whatever. But that's still some time away.
I do also want to do some state-hopping, but that'll be for another time. Perhaps I'll do some quick visits to some places near where we'll be around then, but we'll see...
@Tyranexx Dollywood was an interesting amusment park. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been there though. They used to have this ride called Blazing Fury about a town catching on fire, which used red sheets attached to fans to simulate a fire. It was sort of a cheaper, creepier version of Pirates of the Caribbean, since a lot of the animatronic people moved really jerky and unnatural. “Rags to Riches: The Dolly Pardon Story” was also a hoot. Looks like they have state-of-the-art attractions and rollercoasters now, so probably a place worth visiting again.
Glad you made it out with the van. Those mountain roads really put vehicles to the test. That was one instance where I was really happy to have bought a Jeep. The old Honda Civic would’ve been in pain.
I started playing the GBC version of Super Mario Bros on my 2DS and... I somehow had never noticed you can’t really bounce jump off enemies in the first game. I even had to go and check the NES version to make sure it wasn’t just some weird change done to the GBC game.
Maybe it was just Super Mario Maker messing with my head.
@ogo79 If I eat that, I would probably poop something bigger than that kid.
hahaha hell yeah indeed

Today was the first time the grocery store didn't have lines to get in, or lines for a register. Seems like a notable milestone toward normalcy.... if it lasts.

@NintendoByNature Ah, so it IS a physical edition of XCDE? Well, as much as it pains me, I'll still skip it, because besides the aforementioned spending already done, I also still own the original on the Wii, so I'm not really in a hurry to double-dip...
(I do have the second game on the Switch, though)
@bimmy-lee Eh... okay.... No offense, my friend, but I simply responded to your comment. You mentioned looking it up "just for fun". And of course, the whole thing about me saying you having to pick up the torch and stuff was just me pulling your leg a bit, so I've no idea what's up with the snappy come back.
And now I'm wondering if you actually dislike the artist, which in turn makes me wonder why you'd mention him in the first place. Oh, well. Forget about it.
Guess I'll also forego looking up some actual one hit wonders, because I've lost the appetite to do so.
@BruceCM Ooh... sounds rather inferior to the original release. Guess his age is starting to count and taking a toll on the voice. What I liked about the original version is how clear his voice sounded. Some voices get better with age, but some clearly do not...
@HobbitGamer Yeah, so I was already told by @BruceCM, one page back.
Bit late to the party there, sir.

Hmm, well, I could have sworn he was singing just a little slower, too .... Probably worked well as part of a live concert? Here's a much older one I found:
