@Tyranexx Tenessee... hm, reminds me of an Elvis song...
Liking Firefox mobile, huh? See? Sometimes, I actually DO give handy tech tips...
As for the DC movies: I'll definitely be looking forward to your personal mini-reviews and/or thoughts on both Wonder Woman and Aquaman. No rush, but be sure to tell what you thought of them, whenever you've taken the time to watch them.
On the topic of easily burning: I've got that same problem nowadays as well. I have no idea what changed over time, because as a kid, all the way up to my teen years, I used to get very tanned, to a point where I looked almost foreign (got dark brown eyes as well, so that helps), but nowadays, I'm as white as a lily...
I definitely do like summer days, but I'm never fully out in the sun for prolonged periods of time anymore. And even if you can stand to do it, it's still bad for the skin anyways, so I'm okay with not getting tanned anymore. Less aging and no skin cancer to worry about and all that...
Funny how people still think they look healthier when having a tan, when all they're basically doing is slow cooking/baking their skin...
@ThanosReXXX this is an outrage, i was tagged without consent. I'm offended. You need reeducation. There's only one right opinion. And because of how enlightened I am, I just so happen to always support the correct one after consulting social media to find out which one is the correct one for enlightened individuals such as myself.
Funny. I won't buy another console because it seems too pricey, but I'm tempted to spend double the price of an Xbox One for a Lunt LS50TH-a (hydrogen alpha solar telescope). It's for looking at the sun, seeing solar prominences, and solar atmospheric detail, Sunspots. This is the entry level model.
@Heavyarms55 I can relate on the Zapdos; it's also "shiny". The game says it's shiny, but the color swap is very slight. It came from a research breakthrough a little while back before they stopped offering legendaries. At least I like Shinx. Flower Crown Eevee and Alolan Exeggutor were very disappointing.
I also regret evolving my shiny Gastly up to a Gengar. I'd forgotten how...normal shiny Gengar looks.
@ThanosReXXX I have been to various parts of Tennessee. I'd say my favorite area is Great Smokey Mountain National Park. I like the Gatlinburg area as well for the most part, but it and neighboring Pigeon Forge are both VERY touristy. There are definitely some cool things to do there, but the amount of people...
I will leave some feedback on when I do get around to watching those DC movies. I think the last DC film I watched (and kinda enjoyed) was Suicide Squad. I meant to go see Birds of Prey, but that didn't end up happening.
On burning: In my memory, I've always been pretty susceptible to it; I had the worst sunburn in my memory when I was 14 (Short version: shoulders and neck blistered while on vacation in Southern California on our day at Sea World San Diego, then kid me was crazy enough to go swimming in the ocean the next day; bad idea). It's one of the reasons why I used to shun being outdoors a lot before I 1. started trying to be healthier by exercising/getting fresh air and 2. rediscovered that I did like being outdoors in the right settings. Unfortunately I was in the sun longer than intended yesterday and tried to compensate by sticking to the shade somewhat, but even that wasn't enough. I didn't realize I was starting to burn until it was too late. Throw in the fact that it was a very warm day and I was out speedwalking...bad combo.
Too, skin cancer is one of the things that runs on my mom's maternal side, so it's something I have to keep an eye on. My grandmother has had a spot or two removed, and my mom had the beginnings of basal cell carcinoma removed from her nose almost a decade ago.
I rarely tan unless I sustain a burn first, and even then I'm still playing with fire (almost literally) when I'm outdoors too long. I was never one who wanted or intended to tan as I knew even when it was in vogue in high school that it wasn't exactly great for you. Plus, I considered it to be a waste of time and, in the case of tanning beds, money.
Hope everyone here has a good Memorial Day!!! Going to be barbecuing today and just chillin. Usually I go to the local lake but this year I am avoiding the crowds for obvious reasons. Anyone else Memorial Day plans different this year due to the virus??

One more week until the American Astronomical Society meeting! I'm beyond excited. I've been cramming articles from the Astrophysical Journal (and pilfering everything I can from American Physics Society since its free right now) I feel like all I've done for the past month is read. I love it!

@WoomyNNYes Cool stuff. Always wanted to own a telescope, to stare at the moon and stars every now and then, but because I'd only ever use it as a novelty gadget, I never found it worth the money, because if I would have bought one, then I'd do it right, the first time, so I'd need quite a bit of cash...
As for that other forum topic: I can tell you one thing for sure: that username definitely got me thinking...
@BruceCM The first thing you thought of when I mentioned ELVIS was Arrested Development?
@Anti-Matter Well, you're improving. At least that's actual music, and not too bad either. I actually own a "Best of Chicago" CD, which is the band that Peter Cetera was the lead singer in, before he went solo.
@Tyranexx You have definitely made me curious about Tennessee. My idea was mostly always to visit the obvious place, aka Memphis, and see all the famous locations there. That probably sounds VERY touristy to you, I suppose.
On the sunburn: ouch! I can almost imagine those blisters myself. I have only one memory of being sun-burned when younger, and I spent almost the entire remainder of that holiday swimming with a white T-shirt on, which back in the day was the default precaution method, for not letting things get out of hand even further. And of course entire gallons of after sun lotion...
Another "great" memory I have is from a Sunday afternoon, somewhere in my twenties, sitting on a beach terrace on a boulevard, with some friends, in the summer time (obviously), slowly getting hammered on my favorite alcoholic beverage, all while thinking that I was perfectly positioned underneath the large parasol that stood beside our table, but I either miscalculated, or I slowly but surely kind of slumped down in my chair, and besides wearing a T-shirt and a boxer short, all I had on my feet were my trusty Nike sandals/slippers (plastic ones, not those leather grandpa sandals).
So, by the end of that afternoon, the topsides of both my feet looked like cooked lobsters, with some nice patterns on them, due to the holes in the slippers, and even though the alcohol did make me somewhat impervious to the pain, it was a VERY unpleasant walk back to the car. And don't even get me started on putting my socks on the next day, when I had to get back to work again...
@WoomyNNYes When I saw him post those music videos, the first thing that popped into my mind is that the artist must have been glad that his parents never named him Ed...

@BruceCM That's what you get when you don't follow the entire conversation, but choose to react to answers of other people. Entire wars have started over such kerfuffles...
