Wulff Den made a video, "Why I still don't recommend 3rd Party Switch Docks". Does anyone think I should make a thread as a PSA(Pubic Service Announcement), so it's a searchable topic?

@WoomyNNYes A PS-what now?

'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'

@ThanosReXXX Thanks for the complimentary acknowledgement of my picture. Spoiler alert! It took me longer than the 30 second video might lead you to believe. I am an aspiring digital artist, owning all the Art Academy software for example, but I never commit the time to actually progressing very far. But I do find Kirby rather inspirational.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

@gcunit I can completely relate, although not in a digital way. I used to draw and paint a lot when I was younger, and have always tried to and/or dabbled in other ways to express my arts, predominantly in home computer and PC paint programs, and last year, I grabbed Wii U Art Academy Atelier from the bargain bin, but I somehow never manage to stay with it, so I either just don't have the patience or the time for it anymore.

@ThanosReXXX Okay...I avoid losing brain cells if I have no joy to gain from it. I still need to try B&C. I've had someone IRL recommend a similar combo.

I've found I'm better in the mornings if I wake up naturally, like on weekends. During the week when I have to rely on an alarm? It takes an hour or two for my brain to completely engage. I'm not really a late night person these days though either; I'd say I'm more of an afternoon/evening person. XD I certainly like my sleep lol.

I sometimes opt for total silence, but that's hard to pull off where I live these days. Traffic is annoying. Particularly when some idiot drives by with their bass blaring....

Thanks for linking the song! I can definitely relate to the lyrics, particularly when it comes to attending visitations and funerals, though they can certainly stand in for many other situations, too. With how the song started out, I wasn't sure if it was gonna be my cup of tea, but it got better as it went along. It's a pretty decent song, decent enough to where I think I'll check out some of Kensington's other work.

This probably goes without saying, but dang, that guy can sing!

@ThanosReXXX I think it was he was getting frustrated that I was tearing his opinion apart and showing him that it was an opinion. He kept telling me that having achievements gave him satisfaction which I him ok but why do you need it to show up for everyone to see unless you need it for validation, hence the good job sticker analogy. I wasn't being a or anything I just wanted him to admit that he needed it for validation. I think it was because he knew I was right but didn't want to admit it why who knows, but I find alot of people like him have that problem especially when I hit them with logic like I did. When they can't counter or admit that they are wrong they start taking cheap shots at people.

@Tyranexx He sure can. Earlier this year, they won an award as this year's best band, so yeah, there's definitely something to them. And I've also heard them do this song unplugged, and it's just as good, if not better than the recorded one that you just listened to.

But seeing as you liked that song, here's the rest of my personal Kensington playlist, in order of release:
(the song you just listened to comes before the last song on this list, release-wise)

As for Bacardi & Coke: after half a lifetime of trying and mixing, I've found that this is the perfect mixture:

  • 1 part Bacardi white rum
  • 2 parts Coca Cola
  • a squirt/tea spoon of lime juice, or a slice of lime, depending on personal preference
  • two ice cubes

All poured into this type of glass:
Untitled
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bacardi-Rum-Glasses-SET-2/dp/B00PHJN...
(US stores don't seem to have them, for whatever reason, but they ship internationally)

If you use one of these glasses, like I do, then you can exactly measure out the parts, because when you drop in two ice cubes, and then pour the single part of rum, it'll exactly reach that lower rim, and the rest is the Coke and the lime.

As for traffic noise: considering where you live, I wonder how you'd fare here. My apartment is relatively well isolated sound-wise, but public transport lines (buses and a street car) run through the streets right below my bedroom (I'm on the fourth floor), and they start at 6am, with their regular schedule. There's also night buses, which travel every half hour from 1am to 6, when the regular shifts take over.

Oh, and there's also a fire brigade near my home, so there's always something or someone driving around in the streets at night, but at some point, you just get used to it, and once I'm fast asleep, you can basically fire a canon right next to me, and I'll hardly bat an eye, if at all...

@Tasuki I know, and don't get me wrong: I'm not making excuses for him, just telling you how I deal with stuff and people like that, and it usually works, in the end. But I can understand that it's not for everyone, and it also depends on time and place: even the most patient people have bad days, so if this happens on a day when someone already had a lot of crap happen to him or her, or they got a nice, fat tax envelope in the mail, then their fuse will probably also be a LOT shorter...

Either way: I've always found, up to this point, that giving in just a little bit, even if you're right, makes the other party also a bit more willing, meaning that ultimately, a common ground can nearly always be reached, save for with the biggest tools, but I don't think he's one of that category. He just got off on the wrong foot, but once he's settled in here, he'll understand how we communicate in here.

Who is playing ACNH ?
I want to ask about Villager's Moving Out behavior and mechanism in game.
I want to figure it out how to make my villagers stay forever after i took long hiatus.
I want to buy ACNH probably after July 2020, but before i play ACNH i must know how to preserve my villagers.

@Eel Good to know that it is a decent movie. I have seen that trailer pop up on my TV every now and then some time ago, and I was actually curious, but ultimately forgot all about it, so good to have this reminder. I'm gonna make a note of it.

Tried that Island Savers game yet?

@Anti-Matter Well, there IS also the Animal Crossing New Horizons thread, so there's probably a LOT of people in there who might be able to tell you:

Ah yes, I did play it for a good while yesterday, it’s a nice concept, certainly great for a completely free game.

Platforming is beyond annoying, and the limited inventory space combined with the need to track down machines to deposit or obtain certain kinds of items added a lot of back tracking on the second half of the first island.

Graphics wise it reminds me of a few cereal box pack-in pc games I played in the past, but it works all around, it’s not an ugly game.

All in all, it was like playing a simpler, quicker version of viva piñata. Which is not a bad thing.

@WoomyNNYes I could tell it was Philly by the style of the tags...I've never been there but was supposed to do a road trip there from NYC a couple of years ago. I will get there eventually.

@WiltonRoots Thanks! Haha. The tags Yeah, there is always something cool & entertaining painted at FDR, whether its cool art, cool stencils, funny art, or saying funny things in graffiti. Are you talking about that "fdr" Elmers glue bottle? https://i.postimg.cc/g0r3f1Pj/FDRgap1-auto-smart-fix.jpg That thing was cool. If you can tell me about something you see, go for it. If there are privacy, or legal reasons not to, I understand.

Can you tell me anything about the red pixel art PacMan ghost stencil? It's to the left, on a column. I've seen that around Philly. (EDIT: Anyone that wants to play Find Waldo, see if you can find the dong 🤪 I just noticed it)
