@ThanosReXXX - Good point, I’m sure you’re right given the tweet was quickly deleted, as it should have been. It was a corny joke, the kind of thing someone would think in their head and then be glad they didn’t say out loud because the overly sexual nature wraps the whole thing in a glorious, ironic cloak of virginity. It’s all pretty funny. Can’t imagine planting some kind of morality flag on it either way though. Not even if I was suuuper bored.
@HobbitGamer - Yeah, what Thanos said. Now that I have your attention, there’s something I’ve been meaning to address with you. It’s all the animal abuse dude. Why Hobbit?!? Those animals were doing fine barely getting by on minimum love and rations at the shelter before you took them home and started beating them with care and food. It’s 2020 Joe Exotic. I think it’s time you realize we can’t even look at animals without abusing them, even the domesticated kind that rely on us to survive.
@BruceCM But how would I know BEFORE having done so? I don't happen to own a magic crystal ball that's going to predict which comments section is going to turn into a dumpster fire...
And besides: why should normal people stay out of comments sections and should the idiots be allowed to roam free? That's basically the world upside down. There's a reason why a lot of us ended up here many years ago, and that is because this was one of the few gaming web sites left with a relatively normal and relaxed community. Now, most of us all have to find our oasis here, in the Chit-Chat thread instead...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
It was an idea, @ThanosReXXX .... You are, of course, allowed to go there & post, too! I read some of the articles & vaguely scan the comments but don't usually read many of those
@BruceCM It's just that you can't escape it, even if you wanted to. Usually, if I take the time to read an article, I'll also want to make a comment underneath it, so at the very least, I have to scroll through the comments already made. Now, I can already hear you say "sure, but you don't have to READ them", and to that I say: yes, I actually do, at least for the most part, because I don't want to be one of those idiots who immediately jumps into the comments section to post something that 5 people before me have already said, so I want to know what people are talking about, in regards to that article, and as such, you get pulled in.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Yeah, I know how it can go, @ThanosReXXX .... If I read some article announcing a game I'm interested in, I can post that without having to worry about who else might be saying the same It'd be more complicated with some other articles, of course
Blessed evening everyone. Just checking how everyone is doing over here.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@ThanosReXXX - You should see his island in AC. All the villagers are trapped in cages dangling above bonfires, and his home is decorated like a crazy old fur trader’s pelt shack. It smells like blood and raccoon paws in there. He turned the island music off, so all you hear is animal whimpers. It’s scarier than Tyranexx’s haunted house.
@ThanosReXXX@bimmy-lee Sometimes I throw my hands up in the air in disbelief. It's a game. Not some life or death thing. You don't like the look of it? Say nah and walk away. Job done. You are not being coerced into buying it. We now have this whole breed of people in the comments who cry at the slightest fluctuation in the wind. Why are they mad? What good does it do them? Then you look at what they're freaking out over. Cuddly, cute, inoffensive child friendly cartoon characters. I just don't get it. Look at a pic from Paper Mario. What about him makes these people go into a blind rage? Answers on a postage stamp please.
It's like me freaking out and smashing my front room up over a picture of a kitten. The mad thing is you pull these clowns up and they'll throw the blame at you for shaming them because they're not happy.
Late replies, I know. XD Did a couple of small DIY projects around the house after finishing work today. My new office chair mat is down and cut, and part of my bathroom is sufficiently caulked.
@ThanosReXXX I've seen many commenters on YT and the like wanting a Grimm spin-off based off of how the ending went. The official channel has been re-uploading episode clips lately in order, and some people are speculating all over the place. There probably isn't much to it, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to dream either. XD
I'm amazed at how long some series will run. This is all my personal opinion, but I think some should have ran longer while others (such as Grey's Anatomy) should have been wrapped up a few seasons ago.
There's a reboot of Charmed? I didn't watch a ton of the original series since it usually aired at times I couldn't watch it for one reason or another (short version: being busy or because I couldn't access the TV, and taping then was rudimentary). I did quite enjoy what I did watch of it. Steer clear of the reboot then, eh?
Sounds like that clock might be lurking around somewhere, then. Very interesting design you linked there.
The family chronicles would make a good beer + campfire topic. Definitely some interesting twists, turns, and in-groups involved.
@bimmy-lee I'd like to hear the full version of the combined tall tale of Honest Abe Lincoln-Seed sometime. Rumor has it he debated an apple tree into submission while sitting astride his giant blue ox!
There are apple trees as well - plenty of orchards in the region - but it's not an everyday sight for me. Most of me enjoys heading outdoors sometimes, but my nose and sinuses? Nope. They dislike any copious amounts of pollen and debris.
@ogo79 - Lay on Glass Joe. Law of averages man, he can’t keep always losing. That one win agains Gabby Jay was a long time ago now. He’s due. Thank me later.
this is true

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
@WiltonRoots - Haha, you know how I feel in explicit detail. I will say that the perplexing nature of it used to provide me with some entertainment, but the whining has gotten too whiney for my tastes, and I had to tune out for the most part. I think it was back around the NSO launch. It was too much. It broke me. Sometimes I stumble into a hot take fest unexpectedly, or I hear about one going on and take a quick peek to see what people are mad about, but it rarely tickles my fancy any more. Sometimes I find one of your comments or a few others that give me a good laugh.
Hey I'm in the market for a pair of wireless earbuds and I was wondering what your guys' pick is for like a good pair of true wireless (literally anything except airpods)
I don't like Monster Hunter.

I'm probably listening to green day right now.
@BruceCM I really sympathize with that Roger_Brazil guy. There's nothing simple about Nintendo's quick start guide for the Switch. He's never set up a nintendo console, account, and eshop before. And it's not like setting up xbox.
@bimmy-lee Somehow, I almost think I should believe every word you say, just because... well, you know... you're a trustworthy person and all...
@WiltonRoots Want to have some more fun, or reasons to hold a drinking game? Come join us over here.
That guy has just barely been a member for two days and has already immediately started an equal number of highly divisive forum topics. What is it with new people immediately starting new forum topics, instead of first testing the community waters for a bit?
@Tyranexx Yeah, it's VERY bad. The original Charmed was a great series, which had action, fantasy, a bit of horror, drama, romance and the lore/back story actually made sense, considering the real world heritage of English-born druids and witches.
The reboot destroys all of that and turns it into a woke, multi-cultural teen show, with three colored girls (nothing wrong with that in and of itself, mind you), that are supposedly also from original witches' heritage, but other than that, they completely upended EVERYTHING that made Charmed such a good and entertaining series. So, yeah... steer clear, no: kill it with fire...
If you ever feel like adding something actually good to your series back log, then the original Charmed series comes highly recommended. And it has a decent and well-rounded ending as well. Stuff like that still happened back then, contrary to today's series...
As for Grimm: rejoice, because those rumors you've read about, have already been confirmed. There actually will be a spin-off. It supposedly has a female lead star (perhaps even Trubel), and even the old cast might pay a visit every now and then: https://www.cinemablend.com/television/2460568/how-grimms-dav...
And although the end of the original series was rushed, at least it did get an end, instead of so many great series, who were just cut down in the middle of a story line, which is obviously WAY more annoying... https://www.cinemablend.com/television/1606240/why-the-grimm-...
