@ThanosReXXX Damo locked that thread in the end, he probably buggered off and went to bed, woke up in the morning, saw it and thought "what the...?" and locked it. It was one of those arguments that wasn't getting anywhere.
@Anti-Matter - It’s all good Anti, I’d like to video chat sometime, but it wasn’t a good time for me right then. We’re kind of always at opposites with the 12 hour time difference. Maybe some night after my kids are down, I can call you, which would be morning for you.
@Zuljaras - Accessories look good. Do you enjoy the sculpting or the painting more, or are they just equal parts of the project?
@Anti-Matter I'm not upset at all, and of course (as I have already told you dozens of times) you're free and welcome to like whatever it is that you like, so that was not my point at all.
I was just trying to explain to you that it is thanks to those original songs, like the "supercalifragelisticexpialidocious" song, that you now have those techno/Eurobeat versions. I don't see how you cannot understand that or at the very least acknowledge that this is true, and as such, even though you may not LIKE or prefer these originals, you should still be thanking them, because otherwise, your versions of the songs would never have existed. So, that's what I meant with "respect the originals". It's not a command, it's simply an explanation to make you aware of the origins of something.
And with close-minded I mean that you should sometimes make an effort to understand other people as well, instead of always only defending or sticking to your own points or view. Mutual understanding brings mutual respect and positivity, and that is NEVER a bad thing, so please make some efforts in the future to do so.
And besides: I even welcomed you back with a music video. What more do you want?
@MarioLover92 And still a fun movie to watch as well. A true classic.
@1UP_MARIO Trust me: I am calm. If I wasn't, it'd be MUCH worse.
I might even have been tempted to pay him a visit to knock some sense into him...
But all kidding aside, I'm just trying to explain something to him, in hopes of getting through that thick skull.
@Link-Hero A worthy cause is always worth another go.
As my profile says: "Fighting the good fight"..
@bimmy-lee Man, we REALLY gotta stop with having all these things in common, before it becomes eerie. I'm not even going to comment on those examples you just mentioned...
@Tyranexx I already figured that social distancing wouldn't be too much of a hassle for you, but if you're anything like me, it WILL bother you that others around you don't seem to care or bother, and just go about their merry ways, potentially spreading the virus everywhere. If I wasn't supposed to keep my distance, I'd be smacking some sense into them, for sure...
As for re-watching series: I have a few of those myself, but I'd rather put those on the back burner in favor of stuff that I haven't seen yet, like in your case, a certain truckload of Marvel movies...
And surfing the web and watching TV can go together just perfectly: I just use my desktop PC, which is also in my living room, and if I swivel my head 90 degrees to the left, then there's my TV. That way I can keep tabs on the Chit-Chat thread, while still not missing a single minute of the programs I like to watch.
Concerning covers: glad we mostly see eye to eye on that one. I'm always happy if at least someone understands my point, because sometimes I wonder if I'm speaking Klingon instead of English, if even the simplest of concepts and/or explanations don't become clear to certain people...
But sure, there are some cases where covers can improve upon the original. But those are but a small handful, and the point was more what I've now AGAIN tried to explain to Anti, as you can read at the top of this comment.
@WiltonRoots Well, good on Damo, because that was the only sane thing to do with that thread. I see that since I pointed it out to you, almost another hundred useless comments were added, but TheHalfWit seems to have calmed down a bit, which is still at least somewhat of a positive note...
@Zuljaras Looking good, as always. Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see the finished result.
Early spring is my favorite tree time of year. The flowering undergrowth is at its absolute peak. Around here it’s redbud and white dogwood, and they’re beautiful together. We’ve been giving them their yearly trim and clean out, and they’re better every season. Most of them were completely covered in vine and invasive undergrowth when we first moved in, and it’s been fun to rescue them and watch them grow. Here’s a redbud from late last week:
@ThanosReXXX - We’re either secretly related or we just have the same exquisite taste in many things.
@Zuljaras - Yeah, it takes skill in multiple practices to do what you do there. I enjoy painting, but I’ve never been any good at sculpting things, especially all the delicate detail work.
@bimmy-lee Well, if we're secretly related, then you'd at the very least need to have some Dutch, German or Californian genes in you or in one of your closest relatives, otherwise that's not going to fly...
Oh, and although you didn't post that picture for me, I just thought I'd give you a head's up that this is all I see:
Sites like ImgUr and ImgBB, which you obviously used, are notoriously region-unfriendly, meaning that depending on your location, you'll be seeing various kinds of error messages. I've found that out the hard way myself. With both ImgUr and ImgBB, people often get the weird "Untitled" error, which is not even an error picture, but just the word "Untitled" in the place where the picture is supposed to be. Sometimes, this one is displayed as well:
The blue image above is apparently a new one for ImgBB, because I haven't received that error message before.
And that is the reason why I always use PostImage. So far, I've found it to be the most versatile and user-friendly image uploader, and it also doesn't have any problems with regions or locations, so you can be sure that if you use PostImage, that your image will be viewable around the world.
@ThanosReXXX - Take another look. I think I figured out what “autodelete” does. It was a new option. PostImage offers quite a few links, which one do you use?
@ThanosReXXX Exactly. Don't joke about dressing up cats on a website dedicated to enjoying leisurely exploits. Think of the children!
I had to deal with my own blockhead situation for work today. I've been telling staff what is needed to bill an April service since Monday this week. I've said the same thing, and tried to be diplomatic and patient about it in all of my 23 responses. Then a program manager tried to throw it back on my department. That's when all Thanos broke loose. I looped in an Executive and let them sort it out after my final response to them was "I quit." (The conversation, not the job, haha)

@bimmy-lee There's only one to use for posting a picture as instantly viewable. It's the Direct Link. And how suitable it is, on a Nintendo site...
Nice looking flowery tree, though. Pretty decent picture as well.
@HobbitGamer Sarcasm just isn't appreciated anymore, huh?
On a side note: a strange coincidence seems to be happening of late. Both in this cat thread and in the SNK/Samsho thread it was a person named Andy-something not having an exactly stellar performance...
And on top of that, both are also from the UK. Now, in my line of work, I did not only learn that assumptions are deadly, but also that there's no such thing as coincidence, so what are the odds, right?
As for your work story: next time, don't say anything, just throw down a towel and walk away...
"All Thanos broke loose"? Good one. And I am one hell of a guy, so quite fitting as well.

@BruceCM 😍 David Draiman is awesome! That cover is done in a slightly different style than his usual, which IMO is a sign of a very talented singer.
@bimmy-lee Man, that is beautiful! The flowering trees are already well past their peak here, unfortunately. Which was roughly two weeks ago. I love seeing them, but I don't love what they and their fellow trees do to my sinuses. XD
@ThanosReXXX It does kind of bother me that some people don't seem bothered at all. I don't even like most strangers within arms reach of me at the best of times. I've teased about shipping cart jousting at larger stores in order to keep people a ways away from me, but I'm also fond of not dealing with store bans. XD
As for watching series: I do like watching new things, but I have a backlog of even that right now. I own a few movies I still haven't fully watched, then there's the whole Legend of Korra series that I need to get to. I also really want to rewatch Grimm and a few childhood TV shows as well. And I've been meaning to fully get back into anime....
I'm also not the best at multitasking. I usually have to give activities that aren't totally brainless most of my attention. It really depends on what I'm doing, but I don't normally browse the internet while gaming, for example. It's a similar case if it isn't something I've watched before. Admittedly it depends on how interested I am in the material I'm watching though. I'm more likely to phone out on vacation and in other homes/at gatherings depending on various factors, most of which often lead to my boredom. One of the negatives of being a black sheep in most cases where my extended family is involved lol.
Wait, you speak Klingon? I have been wanting to learn a new language....
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
@Tyranexx Okay, now just when I thought @bimmy-lee was creeping me out with the similarities, in comes ms. Tyranexx...
Guess which series I recently downloaded all 6 seasons from? Exactly, Grimm...
Oh, and browsing the internet and gaming? That's even impossible for the best of us, unless it's a turn-based game. But watching TV and playing games on the Switch or on PC is entirely possible. I usually have talkshows or the news on while I play my daily soccer game on the PC, or something simple like UNO on the Switch, because I can watch over the Switch'es edge towards the TV, and I just pause the game if something really interesting or important comes up.
As for speaking Klingon: luckily, I don't. Also sounds like an absolute b*** to learn. I did once have an Enterprise TNG alarm clock, which was basically a model of the ship, and the dish/saucer part of it was magnetized, so it could be detached. That also served as an interrupt for the alarm. And it had both English and Klingon sound bytes programmed into it, so I used to know a couple of words, but that's about it.
On a side note: what's with the whole black sheep thing? You don't strike me as having a nasty and/or negative personality at ALL, so I have a hard time seeing you as something even remotely close to being that. Perhaps it's the other way around, and you're the only white sheep...
But all kidding aside, you not being a group person, or perhaps not fitting in with just everybody, doesn't mean that there has to be some negative label attached to you. It's just who you are, plain and simple. I'd say that both your direct and your extended family should by now have had more than enough time to get used to how you are, so they should either have accepted it, or have moved on, if you ask me.

Yeah, Ive been throwing on some Dragon Ball Z Kai in the evening while I play Switch. There was an issue with the Adult Swim app that kept booting me to the menu when I tried to watch an episode of AoT, so I changed it up. Grimm is awesome sauce. I also liked Dead Set, even though BBC shows end way to short.

I'm addicted to scavenging items underwater in Endless Ocean. This game has such simple, but effective and fun gameplay. Truly Wiinlightnening experience.
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
I have been reading the My Hero Academia manga every so often. I started about a year ago and am currently most of the way through volume eight. I picked it up as it had been a few years since I'd read through a dedicated manga series. I also have a compilation of the first three volumes of Full Metal Alchemist, but I have no idea when I'll get around to reading it. XD
@ThanosReXXX Hah! I still need to pick up season six, but I have the other five seasons already. Excellent show in my opinion, but I never heard about it a lot in my neck of the woods when it was running. Though I do feel like that last season ended a little TOO abruptly....
Most of the games I play are story-based, so internet or TV doesn't really happen unless I pause the action (usually to look something up or check a notification). Anything I watch is usually a short video on YT, or else the occasional classic cartoon upload that dodged the YT copyright sniffers; I watched some of Street Sharks not too long ago, for example. A full episode of a show is usually watched when I'm eating supper in the evenings.
That Enterprise alarm clock sounds pretty awesome! Though your wording seems to indicate that you no longer have it. Guessing it stopped working?
While we're on the subject....
The "black sheep" label more has to do with my general lack of shared interests with most other family members. More so with my dad's side. There are other issues too that go way beyond me and my "Yeah, I'm hanging out here in the corner chair until addressed" behavior pattern. To explain all the issues would involve a pretty long post lol. Suffice it to say that I don't think some family meetups will happen often (if at all) once my dear grandmother passes. I don't try to be negative by any means and try to engage others in conversations and topics that I think will interest them, but I highly dislike smalltalk if it doesn't feel meaningful. It all feels like wearing a mask in a sense.
Mom's side isn't nearly as bad in the drama department and has more humor to it for the most part. There is a great aunt that I...well...put up with but would rather not, and only for the sake of another great aunt/her sister who only has those types of family gatherings to look forward to since she was in a group home and is now in a nursing home. Said great aunt I don't mind suffered a severe brain injury at a very young age and isn't able to live on her own or properly care for herself. My maternal grandmother is her legal guardian.
