Hey everyone, Anti ban confirmed. I didn’t get full details from him, but I think he was reporting too many people/comments after being warned about excessive reporting. I need to check IG because I have unread messages from him which might contain more information, but I just haven’t had time to sit down and help him sort it out. I’ll get in touch with him soon and see what’s up, but he’s good as far as I know aside from the ban.

@NintendoByNature Thanks mate! I played FF7 and 8 on the PS1 but I never played 9. Are you enjoying it so far?

@HobbitGamer I have never heard of Everspace, but I just checked it and it looks great. And here I thought that Starlink was the only option similar to Star Fox.

Any particular reason you didn't get FFIX, @roy130390 .... ? Maybe pick it up when it's on sale next?

@BruceCM I think that I didn't know about it's existence until I was playing X on the PS2 haha. At those times, most of the games I knew about were because of my older brother. I was about 10 at the time and didn't have many ways to learn about the new releases. I did play a good amount of PS1 games thankfully though, I just did't know about them until we got them.

Well, it's still around, @roy130390 .... Available on every platform! So, if you want to fill in your FF gap, get it when it's on sale next, since that won't be long

@bimmy-lee So, guess I was right, then. I really bear him no ill will, but I honestly DO wonder when the hell he will ever learn, instead of getting banned several times per year, largely for repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

@roy130390 I played 7, and loved it. 9 is really cool, but a little slower paced, at least to me. Characters and setting are really great though. I'm about 9.5 hours in so far, so a good chunk in.

Pick it up in the next sale, maybe.

Where have you got to, though, @NintendoByNature .... ? Burmecia? Which is about 1/4 of the way through the game, for reference

@bimmy-lee I am not surprised to be honest. I admit that I report comment from time to time but I always write why I report the post. It should be against the rules. That is always the case.

I am sure that Anti reported left and right posts that he simply did not like not that they are against the rules.

That might be another hard lesson for him.

Kind of long, I get it, but I'm so shocked at this I have to share it!

I am sitting here watching anime and breeding a Pokemon to give out on surprise trade because I kinda like doing that every now and then. I've played this series a long time and have some pretty obscure stuff. For example, I have Pokemon in obsolete Poke-balls that are no longer in the game, like the safari ball, because there hasn't been a safari zone since gen 4. I happen to have Larvitar in a safari ball - and Tyranitar is one of the top tier competitive Pokemon in all formats so I thought it would be cool to share this. The only way to have it in SW/SH is to transfer one from gen 4/HGSS through gen 5 and then into gen 6 to get it onto the 3DS, move it into Pokemon Bank and then from there into Pokemon Home. Then you can breed Larvitar with Ditto and it will be in the same Pokeball as the non-ditto parent.

I bred a whole box of them and trade the first one away... and the Pokemon I get in return? A Larvitar in a safari ball! From a Japanese player, or at least a Japanese account. The odds of that are astronomical! Surprise trade is totally random! There are hundreds of Pokemon in the game, and each one can be caught in any ball, but not the safari ball! That can only be obtained in the way I described, by bringing it forward 4 generations across 3 different game systems! From DS, to 3DS, to Switch!

Clearly someone else had the same thought I did but I'm still sitting here blow away by the odds of this. Even with someone else having the same idea, the chances that they would do it at the same time as me are crazy!

Ok I swear this seems really sketch so somebody shed some light on it- Why the actual hell are there triple a nintendo published (odyssey, link's awakening) Switch games on eBay for under $20 that are selling more than 40 copies, yet are still on the site? Like nowhere in the description does it say its just the box yet its clearly a scam and people are buying it. Why haven't they been taken down yet?

@BruceCM yea I think I'm making good time, actually. And only struggled on 1 boss (grotto cavern). Took me about 8 tries to beat him.

While we're on the topic, one issue I do have is how under powered vivi and garnet are. Like garnet does at most 15 damage with the best weapon I have found for her. Other than that, it's been pretty fun. Love the bickering between Steiner and zidane lol.

The other thing I have found kind of unfortunate is that when you get split up, you cant bring a healer into your party relying on potions solely. That also reminds me, how do you get the ability to cure all with garnet?

Eh, Vivi is pretty good, @NintendoByNature .... You not worked out weaknesses to hit yet? Cure/ Cura, etc, can be used on the party, as well as individuals! L or R to swap, same for most black magic

@BruceCM hmm I guess i gotta try tapping some buttons during battles them. Some of the stuff seemed a little easier to grasp in 7, so im still getting used to it. Keep in mind, as you may recall, 7 was my first ff experience, so im still getting my feet wet.

Yeah, I remember that, @NintendoByNature .... Tag me in the thread for the games in the Switch forum, if you like! Most of the time, elemental weaknesses follow standard FF rules, though. So, maybe give me more idea just what you're finding particularly difficult

Just asked in that thread about it, @NintendoByNature.... Black magic is generally pretty powerful in FF games IF you hit enemies' weaknesses
