@NintendoByNature Yeah, I suppose it is. I did notice you changing it back then, but if you had never told me, then I honestly would have never made that connection.
I'm gonna change mine back again after midnight: I only ever put that "celebrate King Thanos" picture up because of my birthday, but a week is enough, and he looks miserable, so it's back to another more impressive and/or fear-inducing picture again.

@Zuljaras Or... you could just wear glasses and go and work for a newspaper, and apparently, nobody notices either...
Comics stories are weird... but that is also why we love them, because literally ANYTHING is possible, and if for some reason it isn't, because it isn't "canon" or whatever, then we just create a multiverse, or a "what if?" line of comics: problem solved!

@ThanosReXXX yea im considering changing mine too. I'm over the whole thing honestly. Not literally, just mentally. Im still social distancing and all that, I'm just over it taking over our lives. Ya know? Becomes depressing after a while.
@NintendoByNature Ah, don't get me started. As I'm sure I've probably already mentioned dozens of times on here, I'm a highly social and empathic person, so social distancing is mentally killing me and COMPLETELY against my nature. I'm a hugger and a combo-chain hand shaker...
There's only so many messages you can get by e-mail or on physical post cards, wishing you well, or in my case congratulating me on my demi-centennial, until it all begins to feel decidedly underwhelming.
I STILL can't get past not having been able to give/have an enormous party in some ways. And celebrating it long after the fact just feels off to me, so this f-ing pandemic has permanently taken that away from me, and that's gonna stay with me for the rest of my life.
@ThanosReXXX yea i feel for you. My daughters bday wish/gift was a concert. Her bday is in January and the concert was in April. So not only did she have to wait, but then it got postponed indefinitely. So I can relate.
I'm social myself, and love to be around my family members, so not bringing the kids by the grandparents has been tough for all of us.
My pizza sense is tingling! Somewhere, pizza is being discussed... but where?!? I’ll get to the bottom of this if it’s the last thing I do, just like I get to the bottom of a Chicago or Detroit style deep dish pizza.
@ThanosReXXX - Now my beer sense is tingling. I’m there. Name the post pandemic spot, and I’ll be there in my hazmat suit ready to mix it up and lightly dap elbows with everyone. Then I’ll inject some uvc light straight into my bloodstream on the way home, and singe the top layer of skin right off with my door mounted virus incineration device.
My wife and I have recently caught up on the new Spider Man movies, and we’ve really enjoyed them. We watched the second installment just last weekend, and I thought Mephisto was incredibly well done. I’m not a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhall, but he was perfect for the part.
@NintendoByNature - Hey dude, hope everyone in the NBN house is good. Sorry to hear about the canceled concert. It’s been months of telling the kiddos that everything has been canceled. It gets old.
Thanks for the W101 offer, but I haven’t been a PC gamer since I was blasting demons and mutant pig cops in my Doom and Duke day’s on the old family PC, chugging along at two in the morning hoping I didn’t get caught by my parents awake and STILL playing games.
@NintendoByNature Yeah, that too. And to think that some grandparents/older people are already of such an age, that they may not ever get to see anyone ever again, before they pass. It just makes me infinitely sad...
I don't have any grandparents myself anymore, but I definitely feel for all the others that I see on TV or in the neighborhood. There's also a home for the elderly, just around the corner from where I live, so I see all of them living alone in their glass box, staring out their windows, longing for some human contact...
@bimmy-lee Well, it'll at least take another several years, so no rush. Between this virus possibly being able to be contained by an antidote/vaccine somewhere around next year, and me having to either start all over again with getting assignments or simply finding a job, I'll need plenty of time to gather the necessary funds. Maybe I'll end up starting a GoFundMe page, although that doesn't really feel like me: I like to pay my own way, because I loathe being dependent on others, especially financially.
Glad you liked the Spidey movies. Have you now seen all of the Marvel movies, or what? Poor @Tyranexx still has several weeks of movie-viewing to do, to come even remotely close to catching up...
@ThanosReXXX yea it's extremely sad for the elderly. Can't visit my grand mother who's 91. And i know it really bothers her. She's tough enough to hang around long enough for this to pass. So I'm sure ill be at her house plenty of times before she passes. We do have a plan to do a drive by hello to her tomorrow for mothers day, which she'll love
@NintendoByNature The guy who filmed it works at a gas station in Kentucky, where this took place. Online, the woman is now already labeled as "The Kentucky Covidiot".

That feeling when you actually find some comedy gold in between all the often vile and vulgar comments underneath a YouTube video...
I was a bit bored, so while I was sipping my B&C and eating my snack plate, I decided to browse YouTube, and found this lost and found "reaction" video of the Star Wars scene where Darth Vader reveals the dark family secret to Luke:
Underneath it, one of the comments said the following:
Anakin: loses hands
Luke: loses hand
Leia: loses Han
@ThanosReXXXAhemI don't believe I've seen the first Captain America movie.
Thanks for that link to a definitive list; I think chronological order will be more my cup of tea. I'm less preoccupied about release order.
I do recall the cleaning/rubbing alcohol conversation. I normally just use the lint-free dry glasses/electronics wipes and wet them down ever so slightly if needed to remove the occasional small blemish.
Cutting a hole in the mask....Oh my. /facepalm
@NintendoByNature The first vehicle that I've actually owned is my current car; I'll have had it seven years this September. Up until about a year after I got it, I still lived with my parents and used the spare '07 Saturn Ion that they bought (and still own; it's still a "spare" vehicle used for field running, and my bro drives it to work sometimes since it still gets pretty good mileage) to replace that old van. There were also a couple of brief Chevy Cobalts for that - both 2008s - but those didn't last long. It wasn't anything I did; there was an odd defect to that particular make/model that caused it to not properly accelerate on hills...and the road my parents live down has a few.
@Heavyarms55 I sometimes check the news and notifications when waiting as well, but it really depends. In particular, I've had to take a few short-term news breaks lately. It's like the industry thrives on doom and politics.
@Tyranexx ah yes, the Saturn. I had one as well. I forgot the model honestly which is wierd for me. I had quite a few rides in my day, mostly my fault lol. The Saturn had a leaking sun roof that created Ice inside the car whenever we had freezing rain lol. Made fore a few laughs.
@Tyranexx You're welcome. Hope you are able to get up to speed with it in a relatively doable time, in between all the more important happenings going on...
As for the video: yeah, ultimate face palm alright. And being able to say something like that straight-faced...
I'm almost afraid to say it, but it isn't really conducive to improving the (albeit prejudiced) image of rednecks in the eyes of the general public...
Be sure to let Heavyarms55 know about your controller cleaning habits/solution, seeing as he was the one who asked us.

@NintendoByNature Sun roofs are great for gauging current weather conditions, aren't they?
I don't mind telling the story about what happened to the van, though I think I've mentioned it in here before.
@ThanosReXXX I don't think I'll be watching them anytime too soon, unfortunately. I'd consider it if I had ample time on my hands. I do have a little more than usual, but I'm also still working full time. XD
I'm not defending that lady by any means, but I wonder if it wasn't meant as a joke. (Or... she really is that dim) Kentucky's neighboring state of IL that I live in has been in perpetual lockdown since 2/3 of the way through March, and we're still under a stay-at-home order. They've loosened restrictions ever so slightly, but other states have opened up way more. A lot of people are still adhering to guidelines, but others are sick of it and aren't wearing masks unless an establishment requests it. All those memes and stories about boomers running around? They're going stir-crazy.
