@NEStalgia Well, I have no idea where that supposed ban on aluminum in cookware is being implemented, but definitely not over here. At least half of the pans I own, either contain aluminum, or are made from it entirely, save for the handle...
Oh, and you can drop the T in Alzheimer's.
As for how food products are handled and/or treated: I've read up on that quite a bit last year, and I've also seen plenty of documentaries about the American food industry, and I gotta tell ya, that these practices are one of the biggest reasons that I'm not exactly in any rush to find myself a permanent ticket to America yet, if ever. That and a far inferior health care system. Once you're used to what we have over here, also food and other commodities-wise, it's VERY hard to go back to something that just doesn't come close.
I'd probably have to find a REALLY well-paid job, so I could import all my food directly from the Netherlands, or any other safer country...
But I do agree that both systems have their merit, much like with the justice system and the medical system. The Europeans are indeed way too strict sometimes, and especially in the case of a certain type of medication or medical treatments that can literally mean the difference between life or death, I truly detest that way of going about things. But having said that, I do think that good testing is always warranted, so ultimately, there's something to say for either method.
And Snopes? Who or what is Snopes? Never heard of it.
As for the Corona virus numbers thing: my numbers and my statements were dead on, as was my explanation of them, so it was more how you interpreted my explanation than what I actually meant to say with it, which was basically an exact explanation of those numbers, and several times over. And if you do the math, it also adds up EXACTLY as I explained.
Lastly, I also explicitly said that I know full well that those numbers are only preliminary figures, and only representative of confirmed recovered and diseased people, so they are never to be seen as complete figures/numbers as in a total, worldwide death toll. All of that is ironclad and correct.
But still, you're basically telling me that my numbers weren't right. What kind of a sales & marketing professional would I be, if I wouldn't at the very least be able to correctly interpret/read and/or implement numbers? If you really knew me and my reputation, we would both laugh about that. But because of the forced social distancing (pun intended) of online communication, it's always harder to cement one's real life reputation/value/mettle with others, due to various factors.
That's actually also one of my biggest pet peeves with online communication: I'm still not always used to or prepared for people not taking me seriously or at my word. In real life, whether in my private life or professional career, I have practically always been able to put my money where my mouth is, so that's still a weird thing for me. It's also the very reason why I often kid that I'm always right. Not because I'm some smart@ss, but simply because I check things before I claim or state something, so that I have facts and figures to back up what I say, meaning that in practice I actually AM almost always right...
But I do realize that a big portion of all that either means nothing to strangers, or will simply never come across through online communication, so I'll forgive any and all people the transgression this time around, and will probably continue to do so to some extent, for the foreseeable future...
I forgot to mention that I had a three hour Zoom meeting last night. It was so much fun, but I probably had one gulp too much during that span and ended up eating 500 cookies and sleeping half the night on the couch covered in crumbs.
@NintendoByNature - Yeah, it should be in savings, I’m sure you’ve checked by now. I wish I could just have 20% of it automatically deferred straight to Tom Bezook.
@HobbitGamer - I’m not sure quite what the plans are tonight, but I’m in if I make it on and you guys are playing. We have a movie, and some other stuff on Netflix we want to try and watch this weekend, but I’m not sure if my wife is done with something she’s watching, and I’m sure this last sentence has been riveting for you.
@ThanosReXXX - That sounds at least vaguely familiar. I can’t remember playing it, and I can really only remember the artwork on a few of the cards. I’ll probably end up googling it this weekend, and end up debating internally whether $40 is too much for a complete deck on eBay.
@bimmy-lee yea im done with Tom. He's not getting another bell from me until i get paid for building 3 people's homes. Dudes crazy if he thinks I'll oblige to his wild antics
@NintendoByNature Reparations for Villager!! Down with Corporate Tom!!
Anyone know if there’s been any word on syncing an island between two switches? I wanna play my digital copy on my Lite.... if anything, I guess I could make Isla Sorna

@NintendoByNature - Haha, oh yeah, he’s an opportunist all right. He launched his game about escaping to island life in the middle of a lockdown pandemic!
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
Crazy day work-wise for a Friday. Didn't stop working until later than I normally do, even for days that aren't Friday. The good news is I'm finally unwinding now. Today was a pretty nice day here, though of course once I sneak out of the house for some exercise, the sun decides to hide behind some clouds....
The good news is that today is my grandma's birthday, and she's had a pretty good one considering the circumstances. She's received many cards and phone calls today! Everyone is keeping their distance, however. The dear woman is 92!
@Heavyarms55 That'd be my only guess. That, or someone is both lactose intolerant AND allergic to tomatoes. XD
I've had a few jobs in my day, but I think you've beat me in both the amount and variety departments.
@NintendoByNature Thanks for the suggestion! I'll make a note for future trips. I haven't been up in the area since I went to the western suburbs in mid-2017 for a wedding.
The pizza place my mom and I went to on a weekend trip a few months before that was a chain place, but the name escapes me right now. I just know it wasn't one that occurs in my neck of the woods. Not recalling the name is gonna bother me now. XD
@ThanosReXXX Hey, no problems here if you don't try them in the morning. Like I mentioned, a hearty breakfast meal at any other period of the day is just fine in my book!...As long as it isn't too late in the evening lol. My sleep suffers otherwise.
...Yeah, I figured that reference was pretty borderline to what I do professionally. XD A source control platform is basically a repository, usually online, used to store code, manage it, and keep a log of changes. There are many uses for it, but think of it as a sort of online backup tool that can be used to coordinate work with other contributors to your project, manage changes by you and your team members, and revert to a previous version of what you're working on when you hose something up. The platform I was referring to is known as GitHub; the first half of the word is the slang term I was referring to. So yes, GTFO was the correct direction to go in.
Why yes, I DID say pineapplepizza!
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
@Tyranexx - Wow, a sincere well done to your grandmother. Thinking about all that’s happened in the last 92 years actually helps provide a little bit of perspective with what’s going on right now. It’s a shame you couldn’t be together, though it sounds like she still had a special day.
@Tyranexx yea no problem. Probably giordanos if its a chain pIzza place serving up deep dish that ISN'T Lou malnatis. There's also rosatis( which I had tonight 😉).
Happy birthday grandma! Mine is 91 and she still does most of her own stuff. She's essentially a 25yr old man trapped in an old lady's body. She does her yard work, snow blows, cuts tree branches, all that stuff. Its amazing what she does at her age.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
