@NintendoByNature Haha, no worries, man. Your pitch was successful. As of today, it has been put on my "to try" list, once I ever come back to the States. There's plenty of American cafeterias and lunch rooms over here, but I'd rather get "real American food" from the actual location instead. It'll probably be largely similar, but it's the idea that counts, or adds to it, in my opinion.

@NintendoByNature I’m the same with milk. Or ice cream. Thank goodness for the alternatives. Almond milk is pretty awesome with my crunchy brans and raisins.

@ThanosReXXX Teensy Tinsy Mousey Babies! Make sure if you try the biscuits n gravy, they’re from a diner or hole in the wall joint. That’s some goodness. My great gram use to make squirrel meat gravy, skinned and cleaned right in the kitchen.

@ThanosReXXX good!! I think you'll enjoy it. Usually they come in small orders of 2 or large orders of 4 depending on the place. So if you want to try a little grab a 2pc.
@hobbitgamer yea me too..i do almond milk with cereal but i won't drink it plain. I just can't lol.

@ThanosReXXX It's not real american food if it's not loaded with Roundup and other fun carcinogens!

Who needs plauges, we eat danger for breakfast! Literally!

@NEStalgia Gluten-free is only critical for those who have Celiac's or genuinely can't tolerate it IIRC. Otherwise it's just a health craze. I don't believe there's anything wrong with it outside of obvioua intolerance. XD

@NintendoByNature Probably depends on how the cheese is made, I think. And I know there are substitutes for both milk and ice cream out there, but I can't imagine any of it tasting the same as the real deal lol.

Most foods don't bother me, though I've found intentionally trying to eat better over the last couple of years means that I can't handle a boatload of greasy meals on too many consecutive days. My innards don't like that. Besides that, the only thing I have to watch is the Asian Zing Sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings. I love the stuff, but something in it ensures I pay for it later.

@ThanosReXXX Most of my monikers typically have some type of X in them as it's one of my favorite letters. It's a fun one that doesn't occur often in English, so I try using it in crazy ways. For here, it just so happened that one of my favorite Zelda bosses has two in its name.

I tried using "Nocturne" as my username here when I first signed up, but it was taken at the time. I had to pick something else.

Like I mentioned, B&G is good at any time of the day. Growing up, my parents usually didn't have time to make a full scale breakfast before we went off to school, so I'd usually have toast or pop tarts or something else kind of quick. A couple of times a month, mom would make "breakfast" for our supper. This involved generous amounts of bacon, eggs, and sausage.

Tl;Dr - Breakfast can occur at any time of the day in my book.

I'm pretty well-versed with British literature and (most) terminology at this point. It's a fascination of mine how the meaning of a word can change within the same language and, in the case of cognates, in others. Another early word that gave me trouble was "torch"; I didn't realize this was another word for flashlight. I legitly thought that the Pevensies in Prince Caspian had lit an actual flaming torch....

Then of course, there's a certain British Commonwealth slang word that's considered rude but is used in lazy/Southern/Old Western American English that has no other meaning then to simply "get out" or "leave". A very popular source control platform uses it in their name.

@Tyranexx haha yea usually any wing sauce Will do it to me. But I'm more of a spicy garlic or carribean jerk guy. I can eat loads and loads of pizza tho, and cheese doesn't bother me, thankfully. So who knows, I'm all over the board.

@hobbitgamer I nabbed goosebumps in the sale. Only 5 bones

Tyranexx

@NintendoByNature Most of the other wing sauces don't bug me at all. I love traditional chicken wings in most sauce forms, up to a certain point on the heat scale. Spicy garlic is good. Don't think I've ever had the Caribbean Jerk. I'm not doing Mango Habanero again...and that was by accident to begin with. XD

There's gotta be something different with cheese, at least in your case. At least you can eat pizza! I don't know how life would be without it. I could eat it every day of the week. 😋

@Tyranexx oh great, now were opening up the worm hole that IS pizza talk..lol. It would be my last meal, as long as it's from a place of my choosing. Give me a deep dish with sausage and giardenara. Or a thick crust with the same toppings. A stuffed spinach and garlic. A cracker thin crust with ricotta cheese garlic basil and olive oil drizzled on top. How about a brick oven margherita with a glass of sangria. Non stop pizza all day, is a way to keep me happy. My wife has figured that out over the last decade.

@NintendoByNature Oh yeah, I think I remember them adding that when I was in university. In uni though I had switched to Bob Evans. They had this big 5 dollar chicken noodle soup take out that was super delicious and filling. So that was my 5 dollar stuff my face option at that point.

@WoomyNNYes Mostly I do raiding in Pokemon. Having a huge friend list means it's much more likely to have people to join or people to join my raids. And it's fun showing off and seeing other people show of their shiny Pokemon in those battles. Of course raiding in Sw/Sh is also a good way to get more shiny Pokemon too.

@NintendoByNature I liked them a lot but they weren't anything terribly original. I'm sure there are other restaurants with similar menus around. Or were before COVID19 anyway...

Did any of you get a good turnip price today in animal crossing new horizons?

I got a terrible downwards pricing pattern this week and I’d love to get some profit.

@Anti-Matter Nah I used to play the crap out of it back in the early 2000s when I was in high school, even had a pair of Cobalt Flux for my PS2 and had modded my system for imports. Went to the arcade constantly. After I joined the Air Force, it got a lot harder to do home versions, though I did play a bit at theaters in Anchorage, AK. Then I got stationed in Idaho and there wasnt really any options. Then, Korea had pump it up but not ddr. Then, Japan I did play sometimes, but after that was Germany and it was pretty rare to see a machine, sometimes if I got lucky on a trip around Europe or something, but that's it. Now I am in Washington DC and don't know of any machines, though a round 1 is opening up this fall supposedly about 45 minutes away. I saw a round 1 back home in TX when I visited a couple months back and they have tons of DDR so I am excited for that. Admittedly not anywhere near as in shape to do the extreme songs I used to do, and double mode used to be a lost cause, which is a shame because I used to be able to clear doubles Maxx Unlimited back in my day lol

@Susurrus
I still play DDR until today, for almost 17 years. 😏
I will be 36 years old on this October 2020.
I played DDR seriously so almost every songs under level 15 i can get AAA grade easily, until i get boring. 😅
I have ever got AAA Perfect Full Combo from certain easy Expert songs.
I can pass some of level 18 Boss songs (with DDR X rating) despite i can only get decent scores (around 65% - 80%)
Luckily, there is DDR A20 Arcade at my local Game Arcade and it required Online connection and e-amusement card to unlock New contents. Oh, i live in Surabaya, East Java Indonesia. You can check my DDR records from my Instagram. I posted my DDR records over there.

I rarely play Doubles and i can only pass until level 16 songs on Doubles.

Btw, this is my video at TimeZone while playing DDR X2 Arcade with blindfold and facing backward the monitor.

@Anti-Matter Ah we're about the same age, I turn 36 in August, but nah I haven't kept up, unfortunately. Too much moving around and not enough access. You're good though! Keep it up if you can!

@NintendoByNature There are few toppings and styles I won't accept when it comes to pizza. I'll take it in almost any form and will eat it in any form (once it's been cooked) barring the ancient, moldy stuff. Heck, I've even had the occasional leftover slice for breakfast! 😋

My favorite pizza has to be the ham and mushroom from a regional joint that comes on its own signature yeasty crust (normal thickness) and cheesy goodness. Unfortunately true deep dish is hard to come by around here outside of the chain places. Not that it's BAD....But the signature stuff is a lot better.

I'm ashamed to say that even though I live in the same state, I've never had a true Chicago deep dish pizza. I've had pizza I'm the area at a place at Union Station one time, and while it was good it also wasn't the best I've had. Can't recall the name of the place.

@Tyranexx I used to bring leftover pizza for school lunch all the time when I was in high school. Cold pizza isn't bad.

I used to work at a Pizza Hut too. Which was actually a fun job - just the pay and hours were terrible. It gave me a new respect for pineapple pizza. Before working there, I never knew how easy it was to ruin a pizza. Put just a little too much on, and you don't get pizza, you get soggy pineapple bread.

I also had a supervisor who actually did the "do as I say, not as I do" thing. Which annoyed the crap out of me.

But overall it was a fun job. Never forget the guy who ordered no-cheese no-sauce sausage pizza. lol
