@Link-Hero Haha, I know the feeling. Just imagine what we'd do if we had all the space we wanted: I'd definitely have a MASSIVE game room, like those that you see in various YouTube videos.
@bimmy-lee Ah, okay. For a minute there, you had me wondering. Oh, well...

@HobbitGamer - All right, I give up. I have no idea how to get to your island. I tried last night. I had a gnome for you and everything. I went to a random deserted island instead and got coconut trees.
@bimmy-lee It was my fault. I kept falling asleep and forgetting to open my gate. Once I open my gate, the dodo shows a list of friends with open gates. My bad

@HobbitGamer - Well, that’s actually good news. I was starting to think I had wait 25 days to find and recruit flamingo TSA agents before I could fly. I know what you mean about the gates. I messed around for a while before I tried to fly, and the whole time I meant to open my gates in case you wanted to visit, but I continuously got distracted and forgot. I’d like to see how you set up your orchards. Still no ladder. I have a pet tarantula though. I own those horrid things now.
@Zuljaras - I got a full size, anatomical skeleton on my first or second day. I have it right outside my house. It’s the coolest thing I have by far. It looks weird and unsettling because it’s an accurate human skeleton in a cartoon world.
@HobbitGamer Extinct animals acting as border patrol/gate keepers?
Well, you learn something new every day...
(for clarification's sake: I've never used the "visit someone else's island" option in any of the previous Animal Crossings, so I probably would be just as confused, if not more, than @bimmy-lee)
On a side note: have you ever considered that you actually did not really "forget" to open your gate? It may just be a game in this case, but of course in real life, we're not really used to leaving our gates or doors open when we go to sleep, so this is so ingrained into our daily behavior, that it probably also extends into virtual goings on...
@Zuljaras Did someone say "creepy"!? : P What's the deal, are you guys visiting each other's Animal Crossing islands? I would definitely lurk behind trees & bushes on my friend's island if I could haha
The highlights of my days both yesterday AND today: I have not one, but TWO new baby cousins! Both on my mom's side, though from different sections of the family. One's a little boy and came literally a day before his actual due date; the other is a little girl and is here 2-3 weeks in advance. Everyone is doing fine. Definitely some good news I could use in a time like this. It'll be a bit before I get to see both of them (obviously), but pictures will suffice for now. ^__^ They won't be spoiled. At all.
Today is going pretty well. I played quite a bit of Link's Awakening this morning and am doing my internet rounds now. I'll be vacuuming in a little while, then I can say my bi-monthly house cleaning is complete for another two weeks! After finishing that, well....I don't keep alcohol in the house often, but my brother gave me a can of Mike's Hard Lemonade recently. After how crazy this week has been, I think I've earned it.
@NoUsernameHere Long time no see! I remember your nameless persona, though it has been some time. Welcome back!

@Woomy_NNYes No I only have ACNL. I just like creepy stuff in video games. Either dark and sinister or outright horror shows. Eerie stuff like graveyards in the Pokémon games. Weird stuff.
