@Heavyarms55 I'll likely do something similar when I pick up a copy of Sword/Shield. Multiple people in my local Pokemon Go Discord group have the games, so I'll likely end up adding a lot of them and participating in raids.
I kind of feel like I should pick up one of the Let's Go games and play simply for nostalgia reasons.
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
@ThanosReXXX - Native emulation and backwards comparability to that degree certainly adds value to it as a long term preservation piece, especially if you’ve been in with them for a while and have a library of games through the generations and upgrades. It sounds pretty cool. I didn’t mean any offense about the price, and I certainly would never begrudge someone over how they spend their money. It would be my choice of the two to pair with my Switch if I could do so, but I’m sure a Lite is way more likely in the future. Three huge Animal Crossing fans here. It ticks every weird box for me that I never knew needed ticked, and my kids love it too.
@Tyranexx - There’s few culinary pleasures I enjoy more than a big fluffy slice of white bread. It doesn’t even matter what kind. Just white bread. I’m good with every variation. And cornbread. And all the sweetbreads, desert breads, and pumpkin bread. Pumpkin bread is really the only pumpkin thing I like. Love me some bread. But, it’s probably taking time off my life. It’s a fine balance we weave between quality and quantity, always trying for just enough of both. I do take white bread breaks, but never for too long.
Glad the food situation is holding out for you. We couldn’t get cucumbers or tomatoes either. Last Sunday my wife got one wilted, dented cucumber that had to be eaten right away. Ah, we’ll see what happens. We can sacrifice our eating habits for a while for the greater good, but I already miss seeing the shelves full of produce.
@NintendoByNature - Haha, good old Hue! You should get online and Smash Hue Janus. I don’t want friends I don’t know (as much as we know each other around here), but I’d be happy to be friends with anyone from this thread. Doing okay here, hope the same for the Nature Fam, Whoooo!
@Tyranexx I don't hate Let's Go. I played and got some enjoyment out of them. But I really did not like the control scheme and I seriously doubt I would revisit the game. I use the Pokeball Plus only with Pokemon Go pretty much, or now I also connect it to Shield too because you can use it concurrently with go and Sw/Sh.
If you're looking for nostalgia, honestly, I'd wait for the pipe-dream of Nintendo adding Game Boy games to NSO and Pokemon being in that collection...

@Tyranexx haha that's exactly what i thought of too. @Heavyarms55 it's not like i would normally care. I would just hope whoever it is would come forward and tell me they sent a request.
@bimmy-lee haha yea, beat his janus all over the arena. @anti-matter nice history lesson, but I think this particular person isn't trying to be a historian lol.
@NintendoByNature That'd be nice, but it's not what's been happening for me. I'd say about 1 out of 10 have told me, and a handful more I'm pretty sure I know who they are.

I have a very simple situation for Series X. If it plays all my XB1 games (we'll see, the recent backpedaling from "all" to "thousands" has me concerned) it'll replace my OG XB1 but if it doesn't then I'll stick with my OG XB1 and get Series X sometime after XB1 support has stopped. I only have room for 3 "home" consoles (currently Wii U, docked Switch, XB1) and I'd guess given XCDE is a 2020 title (hence XCX being further away from coming to Switch) and NSO additions being extremely slow that my Wii U will still be connected for years to come so XB1 support ending happening earlier.
Anyone else got that indie puzzle bundle game on the eshop? It’s one sale for like 5-6 dollars, and I’m quite impressed with it so far (Considering it’s four very different games)
Just wish there was a way to switch games without having to close the software.
@Eel
May i ask.
If i want to become user in PushSquare, can i use same email and same user name ?
Because i saw there are same user also from Nintendolife.
@Heavyarms55 Yeah, the whole drooling over/demanding a certain fps/resolution is also not what triggers me, at least not primarily. Sure, I like eye candy, and I'd like a new console to wow me, but more with the overall experience than just with big numbers, so little argument there.
For me personally, however, the opposite is also true: it can't just be more of the same. I'd definitely expect a new generation to bring me more of what it already did, so that does to some extent include improvements in graphics as well, and obviously, you'd need a more powerful system to get these things.
But indeed, it's mainly the services and the offerings where games are concerned, that are of interest to me. And for me personally, Microsoft has always brought more than enough. The quality of their online service and online game library is simply second to none for me, and backwards compatibility is also a massive bonus. And seeing as I'm already supporting two platforms, which I'm VERY satisfied with, I'm not about to support a third.
Come to think of it, seeing as I'm also playing games on PC at times, I'm actually already supporting three platforms, in a way...
@bimmy-lee No worries, man. No offense taken at your previous comment at all. I can definitely understand that not everyone is willing to pay more than 300 bucks for a piece of electronic entertainment, but for me, coupled with the services, and the subscription of 4 free games per month (two of which are yours to keep forever), it's more than worth the expense.
@Grumblevolcano I'd say that having thousands of games to choose from and to play is hardly something to worry about, seeing as you'll never even touch half of them. Most of us only have collections running in the hundreds, so unless you're a massive game hoarder, you'll probably be no different.
As for Microsoft's statement: that's not back--pedaling, that's simply them being logically cautious and making no false claims that people could address them on. Far as I've read/heard, they've tested thousands of games by now, and so far, all of them seem to work (including all currently backwards compatible games), but they haven't tested ALL games, and the simple truth of it is that you can't say that something works, if you haven't made sure by testing it.
Perhaps they ran into a snag with something, but I don't think they did, because Xbox One titles aren't emulated: they run natively on Series X, so perhaps there's something else going on, and they just want to be absolutely sure, which seems like the smart thing to do, far as I'm concerned, so I'm not even slightly worried. It'll be just fine, you'll see.
@ThanosReXXX - The way you stated “electronic entertainment” reminded me of a thought I have from time to time. If aliens were studying our habits, from the perspective of a higher intelligence, would they view this particular hobby as being advanced, or basic and monkey like? The act of playing video games that is, not the electronics themselves. I’m pretty sure that if I recorded myself playing games for an hour and watched it back, I’d look like an idiot 75% of the time.
@Anti-Matter - Dang man, sorry to hear about that, you are so right though. 2020 has been an absolute crap year so far for most of the world. I didn’t care for 2019 much either, so this is quite a run we’re on here in my opinion. It’s all been worse than when video games have toilets.
@Eel - That looks like a nice bundle for the price. I have Slayaway Camp individually, and it’s a good sliding tile puzzler. The 80s horror aesthetic is really well done.
