ARMS needs some kind of story mode or single play adventure to make me get into it. I'm just not drawn in by arcade modes and random challenge matches. I need some kind of sense of progress.

@ThanosReXXX - We don’t need a broken XBox. I’ve never had a Microsoft console, though I did play the original a fair amount. XBox live seems like an amazing service, so that’s probably where I’d go for a hypothetical second console.
@Tyranexx - Ooh, I’m headed your way to raid your grocery stores then. Certain things have been nearly unattainable here for at least several days now. Produce, eggs, chicken, ground beef, cheese, deli meat, and I’m sure milk too... it’s all gone or almost gone. I have a delivery from a really nice local farm for a lot of that stuff set up this weekend at my parent’s place because they have extra freezer space. We’d be pretty lean by the end of this without it, assuming it’s going to continue to be tough or impossible to find in stores.
I’m not trying to alarm you. I hope your experience is totally different. I’m just glad I grew up in the country and still know good people who will sell me things I need, because the stores in my city are straight up looted.
@Heavyarms55
I really hope there is Character customization for ARMS 2, both ARMS mode and Boxing mode.
I really really want to play a proper 3D cartoonish Boxing game like ARMS where other 3rd party developers or indies still Cannot make proper Boxing games. Look at crappy Boxing games on smartphones.
I don't want Boxing / Kickboxing sports being forgotten.
ARMS for Nintendo Switch was like Oasis for my thirst of Cartoonish Boxing games.
@Anti-Matter Lol, you expected smartphone games to be good? Especially any game that requires any sort of fast control inputs or anything?
Anyway, character customization in ARMS would be pretty cool. The characters for the game just SCREAM creativity and flavor. Which is why I want to know more about them in some kind of story mode. It's like Splatoon, yes the multi player is the focus, but the single player in both titles was really really good and there's lots of interesting world building around the game. I wanted that for ARMS too.
Also why would kickboxing / boxing be forgotten? It's been around a lot longer than video games. It's going nowhere.

The past two days I’ve been setting up smart devices and sheparding Skynet into my home. So that’s been fun. I think I have it all figured out now. I’m gonna go to bed before the robots make me.

The last Kickboxing / Boxing games i knew were K-1 World GP 2006 PS2 Japan, K-1 Pocket GP2 GBA, K-1 NDS, Hajime no Ippo PS3 / GBA / NDS / Wii, Sports Champions 2 PS3, Animal Boxing NDS, and many more.
It was ended after 2010.
And no more developers want to consider Boxing / Kickboxing games anymore.
UFC was NOT counted as Kickboxing games for me.
I banned that sport for Very Unattractive and Brutal way to fight.
I knew there is a Boxing mini game from Mario & Sonic 2016 & 2020, Tokyo 2020. However, i didn't feel they were a proper Boxing games as they DIDN'T even display the Health Bar on the Top. How did i know if i will get knocked down due to empthy helath bar if there is NO Health bar displayed ??
It was like a big frustration for me.
The idea was Almost perfect but it missed one important thing, Health Bar.
Well that's new. I decided to take my older 3DS for a spin this evening and moved WarioWare Gold to it from the XL. Weirdly enough it wouldn't read the cart at first until I turned on the wireless. Then I had to perform a system update. Played it for a bit and then... "The cartridge has been removed". Um, no, it was properly seated in the system. Then when I rebooted, it blurted out that the game needed an update. I applied that, and it was smooth sailing afterwards...so far. Hopefully it was just a fluke with dust or a brief software hiccup. The game is new, and while the system is old, I've kept it in a zipped up carrying case with a different game occupying the cartridge slot.
Edit: I found a troubleshooting article on NoA's website that basically said to follow the steps that I did above. Hopefully that settles it; I don't think I've used the system since I played both Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Dragon Quest IV on it late last summer.
@bimmy-lee Things are leveling off a little here now I think, but that's only because a lot of stores have started applying hard limits. The milk, bread, and meat issues hit pretty hard here. Fresh fruits and vegetables? Not as much. It's almost like some people are afraid to to touch that unprocessed plant stuff lol.
At this point, the only thing I suspect I might need to hunt for is bread. But the bread I buy is some sprouted grain stuff that I love, but it isn't what many would call "normal" bread lol.
@Tyranexx My 3DS has more or less been retired since Pokemon Home came out. While there are games for 3DS that I haven't played and would like to, I can't deny that I am so spoiled by the larger, brighter, crisper screen on Switch that it's become somewhat difficult to go back to the 3DS at this point. It's at the age where it doesn't feel retro or nostalgic for me yet, just obsolete. Give it another 5 years though, and I'll look back on it like I do my GBA and other, older systems.

I don't know if it's me but I have noticed alot more trolls and just overall bad users coming around more of late. I usually expect this kind of thing around E3 time but it's been cancelled so I don't know what's up. Maybe it has to do with Animal Crossing coming out a few days ago but the rudeness and behavior of these new accounts as of late are just getting to me. At this point I am thinking of leaving for a bit till things cool down and these weird and rude users either leave or get banned.

@Tasuki Well, school is closed in many places, as well as malls. What else are junior high kids supposed to do? 😜
Just try to let it roll off. People are stressed and silly folk are sillier.

@HobbitGamer - Great, everything is about to close here, malls, movie theaters, laser tag, candy stores, vape shops. There’ll be junior high trolls galore!
@Tyranexx - Ha, I noticed an abundance of healthy options on shelves last time I was out, while everything else was wiped. I guess that’s another benefit to eating smart. I eat trash bread, but my kids eat the sprouted stuff. We’ve had no problem getting them their bread. We go through a ridiculous amount of produce every week, so it was concerning to see it picked down to the beaten and bruised bottom layer of just about everything.
@bimmy-lee Well, as a current owner of an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One S, I'm definitely eyeing the Series X, although if the rumored price point of $499,99 is true, it will more than likely not be a day one purchase.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Phew....
Finally i beat the second mission at Hidden City of Balkai from Ratchet & Clank Q Force PS3 just now.
It was really really hard Mission. 😵
Too hard maybe. 😖
@ThanosReXXX - Oof, that’s a mighty salty gateway to the real expense; software. Definitely more than I’d be willing to spend on a console. I’ve never been too much of a multi console gamer. There’s usually more than enough for me on one given platform, and I feel like I’m spreading myself too thin with several. The last time I had dueling consoles was about halfway through the 16 but gen when I got a SNES to sit alongside my Genesis. Since then, I’ve just picked a platform that suits me and gone all in, and usually it’s been Nintendo. I do admire the XBox Live service. The last Red Dead was really the only game from the last few years that I wish I could play.
@bimmy-lee You had a SNES AND a Genesis?
Well, in that case, you were either VERY popular in school, or you were hated by both camps. Battles were quite fierce back then, regardless of there not being any internet or social media...
As for the Xbox Series X: it may be that price at release, although some sources also say it's going to be 100 less, which is still 400 bucks, but in all fairness to that price, you can't have that kind of tech at a 150 - 250 dollar price point, and historically, both Microsoft's and Sony's consoles have always been at those kinds of price points, with some outliers here and there at release, such as the more expensive Xbox One this generation, and the wildly ridiculous $599 release price of the PS3 last gen.
But for fans, supporters and people possibly interested in the Xbox platform, the consideration will more than likely be how compatible/versatile the console will be. If it can truly do and master all things that are now claimed, then you're basically getting a "four generations in one" box, and that is most definitely worth the price, also considering the still vastly superior online services and game rental services that Microsoft offers.
So, ultimately, it'll probably sell very well, even if it's indeed going to be $499,99.
@ThanosReXXX - So it’s backwards compatible with the entire library of games on all the prior Microsoft systems? If so, that does make it much more than a pretty new box under the TV. I used to keep up on all the consoles and read about all the big games, but the hobby has shrunk down to a focus on Nintendo for me in the last five years or so. I don’t doubt it will sell though. Not at all. I personally can’t fork that over for a console, but lots of people will.
I kind of lucked into a SNES after I had been playing and loving my Genesis for several years. It was just the console, no games, and I had already been playing a lot of the games as my friends and I made a concerted effort to spread out and try to cover as much gaming possibilities as we could, and then play together and trade games and consoles for a time. I didn’t get that many games for my SNES because I liked the Genesis and its library quite a bit more.
Good evening. Here in Holland they are now giving people and stores fines for not walking 1.5 meters from eachother. When you don't keep yourself on it you can get a fine of 400 euro, stores can get one of 3000-4000. People still cross the lines here...
I hope everything is well with everyone. Just been drawing a bit and playing Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Love it
