@ThanosReXXX graffiti you say???!!!! Now i might need to get this. I haven't been a hooligan since I was in high school. Might be time for some havoc! Lol I'm jk.. But you guys are talking me into it.
@NintendoByNature
I can give you recommended NO violence games on Nintendo Switch.
1. Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles
2. Animal Crossing New Horizons
3. Go Vacation
4. Sumikko Gurashi games
5. Waku Waku Sweets
6. Paw Patrol
Oh, speaking about Animal Crossing...
You can type your town name with My Butt so every villagers will say My Butt from their conversations. 🤣
@Anti-Matter thanks. I'm not only into playing violent games. I play Yoshi Mario kart all sorts of non violent games. I just never played a AC game. I would totally name my island margaritaville. Seems fitting for my island life style 😂
@ThanosReXXX - Keep good social distance, and at least your worst case scenario is a nice walk and some sunshine as you mentioned. We finally got out for a walk yesterday after a week of crap weather. It was great to get out. There was tons of sunshine during breakfast and getting ready to go out, but it clouded over about halfway through our walk. It was sunny on the IsleOfBim when we got home and into some AC though.
Have you seen Clash of the Titans? I watched the original one repeatedly as a kid. It was always on TV. At the end of the movie, Zeus orders Poseidon to, “Release the Krakan.” Can you imagine how much pressure you’d be under if Zeus suddenly appeared and ordered you to release the poo? It would be terrifying.
@NintendoByNature - Yeah, it seems like we can hang out on our islands and do stuff. I didn’t know about sneaking around and doing graffiti, that sounds amazing. I don’t know much about it yet, but I’m about to fire it up with my kids and build a birdhouse we’ve been wanting, haha! I found a bulletin board where I think we can leave messages as well. I was definitely swayed by our sudden change in lifestyle. I imagine the game is getting a huge bump in downloads as a result of this. I would consider a digital version for this one. I had also been gaining an unexpected amount of hype for it in the last month.
@bimmy-lee sounds like it could be a good time. But I think i would do the physical at Wal-Mart since they usually have it $10 off. But part of me knows it would be better off as a digital game in spurts.
As soon as I read "Brie Larson" in the headline and saw how many comments were already there, I knew the article wasn't for me. I'm really trying to keep myself in a better mood after yesterday. Clicking into a poostorm article isn't gonna help me on that front. Unless I want to sustain a concussion from constant facepalming.
I'm currently stretching my legs and playing some PoGo for a few minutes at a park on the way home from my dentist appointment. Then I'll eat once I get home, play a little LA, then get to an office organization project I've really been needing to do. I need to better sort some paperwork and declutter a bit.
@ThanosReXXX Store jousting is a bit out of character for me, but in these times some form of simple defense might be necessary before long. As for Black Friday....I do the sensible thing and stay at home or work. If I do any shopping on that day, it's online.
@bimmy-lee Sorry friend, I missed your reply until now. I started constructing that earlier reply while in the waiting room of my appointment and forgot to refresh!
A Poseidon voice would work, but a booming Caesar voice in the Coliseum would work too. TP warriors fighting poo monsters. It's like Conker, but with better animation!
I use Discord for some light chatter usually, but it's primarily used in the gaming sphere. One way my local PoGo group reports and keeps track of things (Pokemon nests, current raids, PVP tourneys, etc.) is by using it for communication and by enlisting the help of some bots to help organize things and send out alerts. It's quite handy.
@NintendoByNature - Can’t argue with a ten spot. I know it’s hard when it seems like people in this thread have a new game that you don’t have, or didn’t plan to purchase. It’s happened to me a few times. The mania usually passes pretty quick. I can’t believe the timing of AC though. A game based in escaping reality to a deserted island during a pandemic where almost everyone is trapped indoors... haha, it’s unreal timing.
@Tyranexx - Happens to me all the time, especially since I’m always doing this from my phone. I don’t always copy and refresh before I post, especially if it’s one I’ve been working on for a while and just want to move on. It can take me an hour of off and on typing to get a response out sometimes. That can be 35 pages if this thread is really moving! TP warriors, quick, tear them to shreds and sell them square by square at an incredible mark up.
@NintendoByNature You'll have to come up with another name for your island instead of Margaritaville, seeing as Nintendo has already stated that you can use 10 letters max...
As for the graffiti: I have to explain that in previous outings, it was possible to go to other people's islands, and do some wrecking/pranking, or leaving messages on their message boards, such as "NintendoByNature was here" or something, which is kind of like a graffiti tag, in a way, but it's not like getting your spray cans out and tagging the whole village of another player. Unless of course, they've now added that.
What is funny, though, is entering other people's houses or gardens, and rearranging stuff and then quietly leaving...
@bimmy-lee Just imagine how much poo a kraken could release... Perish the thought...
But yes, I've seen that original movie, AND the reboot and the sequel. All of them several times. The actor in the original movie (Harry Hamlin, I believe?) is now more cemented in my brain because of that lawyer series that he was in, LA Law, if I'm not mistaken.
@Tyranexx All true. Black Friday is insane. People camping outside the evening before, fighting to get in the next day, and fighting over items, to a point where it sometimes actually results in casualties.
As for the Brie Larson article: you're right to stay away. As a champion for sensibility, I once again tried, against my own better judgment, to appeal to people's senses, but when people even start to defend idiotic and useless negative behavior, then it's pretty much done and dusted. A shame, really, but what can you do, right?
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX lol. I tend to avoid shopping at Wal-Mart unless it's a necessity these days. And thats even without any virus' going around. But for games i usually go there for the discount. 😉
This is a record of my ongoing quest to secure a fresh batch of sanitary paper during the Corona virus epidemic...
As I made my way to the nearest supply port, I wondered how it would go, considering the previous four unsuccessful runs. If anything, the various people that I came across on the way, carrying only one bundle under their arms, made me wonder even more if I would ever be able to get my hands on some, seeing as all over the media, it showed people hauling four or five bundles/packages at a time, so if they now carried only one coming from my own local supply point, would that mean that supplies were at an end AGAIN?
Anxiously, I made my way to the supply point, also known as "super market" to the local inhabitants. Anxiety continued, as it was impossible to see the toilet paper shelves from the entry way, so I had to make my zig-zagging way through several aisles, and after three turns, I then FINALLY arrived at my point of destination.
Somewhat hesitant, already semi-annoyed at possibly being disappointed again, I hesitated a bit at the corner, but ultimately, I decided to bite the bullet, and I stepped into the aisle...
And lo and behold: I was greeted by an ENTIRE wall of fresh, new, wonderful batches of 4-layer toilet paper. I felt relief well up inside, as I quickly grabbed a package, afraid that if I didn't actually do that now, the infamous hoarders would somehow still manage to beat me to it.
Firmly grabbing it under my arm, to prevent anyone from ripping it from my hands, I cautiously made my way back to headquarters, smiling a gleeful smile at the completion of a successful mission, that took me far longer than it was supposed to take.
Either way, now once again stocked with ample supply, I am safe in the knowledge that I won't have to make more visits to the supply point than normally necessary, so I won't be overly exposed to possible infection.
Good news everyone. My dad came back from his solo vacation to Canada (we thought he deserved some “me” time), and he bought me Animal Cr- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX! And that craft Yoshi game.
All Canadian and fancy~
Also salmon jerky and various forms of maple syrup.
