@Woomy_NNYes I honestly didn't know that there was any connection between Animal Crossing and there being a run on toilet paper, so I guess I'll have to read up on that. But yes, I'm very much aware of the idiocy surrounding the hoarding of toilet paper, since it has also happened over here, even in my local super market.
@bimmy-lee Well, in this particular case, I'd say it's both logical and obvious, because it was how he reacted to something that I said to him. If you were really noticing of late, I hardly ever react to his standalone posts anymore, such as all of his endless DDR posts and his self-portraits, both of which I'm not really partial to either, especially since I don't understand the need for people to post photographs of themselves, but in all honesty, that particular annoyance might also stem from me having more than my fill of the self-absorbed selfie culture, so I guess that in some ways, it reminds me of that.
And people who know me, as you should at least a little by now, know that I'm never intentionally condescending. If it weren't you, I'd say that this is more the interpretation of the people reading my comments, which of course I can't prevent, but it's definitely not what I'm trying to convey.
I'm the literal WYSIWYG guy, so I always say what I mean, and I mean what I say. You'll KNOW when I'm really annoyed, angry or upset, because I definitely won't be mincing words in such cases, barring statements that aren't allowed on here, obviously needless to say.
I don't know if you've read my comment to him in that arcade thread, but if you haven't, then here it is. Now that you shared your point of view with me, I've actually re-read it myself, and besides my somewhat blunt usage of language, I can't for the life of me see something condescending in it. And then THIS is what I get as a reply, as a thank you for my good intentions. No wonder I was taken aback/annoyed...
The only comment of mine that comes to mind that would fit that description to an extent, would be my reaction to him asking if European e-mails can really spread the Corona virus. But I mean, come on. No one can really be THAT dense, so I just HAD to say something, because it completely stunned me that anyone could even seriously consider that. But it was also just meant as a joke, so it was never more than a tongue in cheek comment. If people make more out of that than it really is, well... no offense, but that's not my fault or responsibility.
My God! Even Amazon is out of toilet paper! The world is clearly ending! Pack it in folks! Humanity had a good run, but this is it! Soon pigs will fly, Big Foot will run for President and the Loch Ness Monster will be revealed as ACTUALLY being a Lapras.

@NintendoByNature - I can do $350 a roll, but you gotta buy a pallet of it at that price. And itās a mixed pallet. And some of the tape isnāt sticky anymore, but only because I have so much tape, I have to store some outside. Youāre actually doing me a huge favor, but donāt tell anyone else.
@ThanosReXXX - Well, I donāt know who the āpeopleā are, I can only speak for myself. I havenāt seen either comment in the arcade thread, and Iām only talking about what goes on here because thatās all I really care about. From my perspective, you appear both exasperated and condescending with him so I always wonder why you so often try to āset him straightā and donāt just ignore his comments (not with a button, but with your eyes). Iād take a guess that most people who come here to chat either think his random stuff is funny, or can sensibly ignore it without commenting if they donāt.
I learned today that since my team operates a bit differently from most of the company, we can still come in but do have the option to work from home if we want. I'll still be reporting into work as my setup there is more suitable for long-term use and isn't as hard on my back and wrists. None of us sit very close together and have been practicing social distancing at meetings (that's been interesting).
Today's Adulting Moment: I arrived home and found a very official-looking letter among my mail. I seem to have won the jury duty summons lottery for the entire month of May. I am SO thrilled and REALLY hope that my group and call number come up.
@HobbitGamer, @kkslider5552000 The TP shortage has happened here too. I live near a town just under the 15k range, but a lot of smaller communities are nearby and many busy roads pass within range. I'm set for awhile; I stocked up about a month ago before all this madness started.
@bimmy-lee Midna is still my favorite partner in the whole series, but Ezlo is a semi-close second. Tatl is third. But yep, nearly all of them are pretty decent IMO. The only one that I found to be a bit meh is Ciela from Phantom Hourglass.

Definitely also living in a world where terrified people were so afraid of a TP crisis that they went ahead and just created one out of thin air to just get it started. I think I know who did it in my city too. Iām gettin me some of that TP if itās the last thing I doooo!
@Tyranexx - I got a card that Iām considered for duty a few weeks ago. I also had the thought that jury duty right now is the only way to make jury duty worse. Unless it was jury duty, right now, at the license branch. Thatās probably the worst thing possible right now.
I think Iāve admitted this before, but just in case, my last portable since 2/3rds of the Switch was a Game Boy. I originally missed all the portable Zelda experiences, and Iāve only caught up with the titles that made it to WiiU VC. It makes me a bad Zelda fan I know. Truth be told, I didnāt become a Zelda nut until OOT gave us three dimensional Zelda for the first time. A lot of the logic of the 2D Zelda titles alludes me to this day, but Iām right at home with a third dimension and it all makes sense.
@NintendoByNature - Iāve had an epiphany. Free tape for everyone. What am I gonna do with all this tape? One man shouldnāt have this much tape. I donāt even need it, It doesnāt make sense. Iāve already taped lanes for us on all the carpet and rugs. I donāt need it anymore. Everyone, come get some tape. Make lanes on your carpet. We must remain civilized.
Man, almost wish it was Smash night tonight. It was a good laugh last week, and it sounds nice right about now. My how things have changed in just a week. Already looking forward to it.
Wow, Ori 2 has come out and I haven't beaten the first one yet!
I started playing Ori the last year, but when it comes to beating games I'm kinda chaotic. Sometimes I stop playing one for years but then I just come back and beat it.
Like Pikmin 2, which I started playing in 2016 and beat in 2018.
Or Mario 64 DS, which I started playing in 2010 and only beat in 2018.

@bimmy-lee@NintendoByNature Definitely ready for Smash Day. I think Iāll be done with everyone by then. I was able to reschedule an in-face meeting to a conference call tomorrow, but I seemed like the only one thinking. Groups of 10 or less people doesnāt mean itās ok to go in a building with 15 staff (1/3 are over 60), just because the meeting is in a room with 3 people. Iāll stay in my own secluded building of three people, thank you. In my scrubs. Oh, and I canāt forget to fill out my training form tomorrow for āMental Health and CoViD-19ā......

@NintendoByNature The King of Red Lions is good too, but his personality doesn't resonate with me quite as much. He gets points for one of the best designs in my book.
@bimmy-lee I'm kind of hoping that it'll be cancelled, but I'm not betting on that just yet. XD I've been pulled for jury duty before. It was during college when I still lived with my parents. I had to attend the jury selection process but was eliminated from serving due to the fact that I had a job to take notes for a special needs student in some of my classes. The case was a civil one that involved a he said/they said between some guy and an insurance company over a burned outbuilding on his property. I don't recall ever reading the verdict or if it was even settled in court.
I was rather late to the Zelda party by some standards; my first title was Twilight Princess on the Wii. I started the game, got confused as heck in the first temple, and dropped it for a little while. If I hadn't went on to play and enjoy Okami (which is similar to the series in many ways), I likely wouldn't have given TP a second chance. I stuck with it the second go-around and found a lot to love there.
Ever since, I've played most of the other games in the series in some way, shape, or form and in odd orders as I've gotten hold of them. The only two main titles I haven't played are Breath of the Wild (soon for be fixed) and Four Swords Adventures on the GCN.

I had to use up my Golden Corral coupons yesterday since New York are telling restaurants to close at 8, because the next day, they will enter "take out mode" only, and, uhhhhh, it was either use them up yesterday, or those coupons expired before they were supposed to expire.
Those coupons were for me and MY MOM's birthday (not the miitomo legend or Muscle Man, but my actual mom), which means if they were for my B-day, which is on the 17th, that means yesterday wasn't my B-day, which means as i'm posting this now, it's my B-day. So in a nutshell, my B-day is today, but it also was during yesterday's tomorrow...
...STILL WANTED THAT PERFECT IV RIOLU AND DUCKLETT!!!
Also, my avatar is still Christmas related, deal with it until I eventually deal with it.
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
@bimmy-lee my dad made up his own terminology for lane scooting. He calls it skeetching. Don't ask how he came up with it or why. Best left as is. He's a very creative person. @hobbitgamer So it's settled, smashday is Wednesday. Looking forward to a couple laughs. And for the record. I find it most fun to try random characters on you guys. It adds to the hilarity. Simon/Richter/young link are my only mains. Everyone else is just full of giggles and testing.
Oh and stay safe on your side of the building..steal as much tp as you can grab and hoard in your scrubs. @tyranexx he was good too..i just love old man since he helped link start it all from the very beginning.
@HobbitGamer - Yes, itās kind of staggering to see the amount of people who either donāt understand or donāt care whatās going on. I think a lot of people would fill out the mental health form stating, āIām good, I feel great actually. Been focusing all my mental energy on hoarding TP and pretending nothing is happening. Things are great, I feel better than I normally feel!ā I had to spend last weekend convincing my dad to not do a LOT of stupid stuff. Canāt wait to punch you!
@Tyranexx - Ooh, thatās interesting. So youāve gotten a ton of LOZ time in within the last 15ish years. Whatās your favorite entry of the titles youāve played? Mine was OOT before BOTW came along. I havenāt played Four Swords Adventures either.
Yeah, I zoned out just reading about āMan with building vs Insurance companyā, thereās no waaaay I could sit through an entire trial on the subject without my head exploding. Just the thought of being seated for hours at a time makes my skin crawl. Which is why Iāll definitely be selected.
@SheldonRandoms - Happy birthday, but the entire neighborhood is kind of concerned about the Christmas decorations in the yard. Everyone is kind of wondering when youāll get around to taking them down and putting them away. Some people feel they look a little tacky. Not me, but some people.
@NintendoByNature - Sketchy scoot = skeetch. It makes perfect sense to me. I like your dad already. So skeetching obviously make me want to throw up, but itās worth it for a split second because dogs always make the most hilarious face when they do it. Itās like every muscle in their face drops, and theyāre concentrating so hard. But, itās super gross. I had a pug that got obsessed with it. She would spin. It was a gland problem. I got it fixed up eventually, but there was a LOT of spin skeetching going on.
@bimmy-lee haha yea, It's definitely one of the worst things you can see a dog do. Stuff of nightmares. My dad always had little quips like that. He has plenty more and as they come to me, I'll share them with you.
Yea pugs are funny like that. A spin skeetch must take some talent, so you should be proud. Don't think i could spin while skeetching.
One cool aspect of Opoona is that it's designed to be played with only the nunchuk, where the c button does what the A button normally does and Z opens up the menu.
You can also adjust the camera by holding both buttons at the same time and then rotating the analog stick, though by doing that I often accidentaly open up the menu. That's why i prefer playing it with both controls (the wiimote d-pad adjusts the camera in this "mode").
Though I still gotta praise it, it's very thoughtful!

@bimmy-lee Well, as mentioned, people, or you perceiving/interpreting my comments as such is out of my control. I can quite confidently look at myself in the mirror and say that it's honestly never my intention.
I suppose the "setting straight part" you're talking about is me correcting his English? If so, then I won't hold it against you if you missed that back then, but I actually asked him personally, if he would like me to help him point out grammar/language mistakes every once in a while, so he could improve his English, and he said yes, so that is where that is coming from. Or perhaps it's the use of smileys. I know you don't like those, but in my particular case, the often used winking emoji is just meant as positive, friendly reinforcement.
This discussion does make me wonder how you perceive this comment, which as mentioned in the comment itself is meant as a non-hostile, constructive reaction to one of his posts. Keep in mind all I said earlier, and perhaps add to this that I've always been quite direct, and working in sales & marketing and living over here in the Netherlands, and especially Amsterdam, has possibly made me even more direct, but at least you'll always know what you get with me. There's no ambiguity or hidden meanings, it's all in plain sight.
I don't sugar-coat things when I'm communicating with adults, because I think and feel that they should be able to deal with that, seeing as in life, we can't all agree all the time, so the average adult should be able to take that into account and process some adversity without it affecting him or her too much. But that's obviously my personal point of view, so make of that what you will.
Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier, but needless to say, the respect is mutual. Just because we may not agree on this particular point, it takes nothing away from that, far as I'm concerned.
I do hope you're firmly seated, because I'm possibly going to surprise you now...
@Anti-Matter Now THAT actually IS funny, and VERY appropriate. I can see you're learning...
