@bimmy-lee Me, a hacker? Part of me wishes that I actually had those kinds of skills. Oh, boy... the havoc I'd wreak. Like a regular real-world Thanos, so it's probably better that I don't have that particular skill set...
@Eel I'll probably try one out this evening. They don't seem to mind if I hop on my phone some right now - since there are no classes to teach or students in the building - but they might be annoyed if I'm on my phone for long periods.
I get away with wasting time on NL because I'm just on the PC and they'd have to try and read the English on the screen. XD

@Link-Hero That plan seems to work rather well if you do it quickly enough. Here in Japan they did it nationwide and the numbers of new cases have been steady but low. Though that could be coincidental.
Boeing is a major weapons manufacturer. I wouldn't shed a tear for them. Though I feel bad for the workers whose livelihoods are at risk.

Honestly no, not at all. having played games since the NES days, and owned or at least played every major game console over that time span - I consider the Switch to easily be my all time favorite gaming platform. The hybrid nature of the device is as simple as it is perfect fulfilling a gaming dream I never actually expected to happen. Allowing me to play current games both portable and and on TV. And it takes it a step further in that the transition between the two is seamless. We can literally be mid level, walk up and pick the Switch up and keep playing. No cords, no messing with settings, we don't even have to pause the game - though generally I do. I've got over 100 games on the Switch, more than I've ever owned for any one device. Except maybe NES since at once point I had a family friend just give me their collection and I inherited my father's collection. I never did count them. (I should really do that next time I dig into storage).
If anything the late PS360/Wii U era was the most dry for me. Although I had all 3 systems I didn't end up playing a whole lot, with most of my gaming being 3DS. Although at that point I was also a semi-broke college student so I didn't exactly have the money to burn on buying games regularly.
Selection of games on Switch is nothing short of astounding! I cannot remotely keep up with all the games I want to play and also go to work, sleep, and maintain any vague semblance of a social life. I don't care if a game is an exclusive, a 3rd party, an indie or a port. What matters to me is that it's one Switch and a game I like. And there's no lack in that department!

@Heavyarms55 To be fair, only around 15% of The revenue comes from Boeing Defense. But their stock is down 35% lately. The airline cancellations combined with continuing 737 Max issues are not going well for them.

As for me I do not have any experience with the following consoles: Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Original PS2, Original Xbox, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U and of course ALL dinosaur consoles like Atari etc.
I consider my gaming journey to start from the NES.
I love every single console because each one has it share of joy. Well I love the handhelds the most but grew to love the home consoles as well.
And from that point on the collecting started. I doubt that it will ever stop
@Heavyarms55 - Hey, there’s no one way to enjoy an Eggo, so I’m not judging you one bit. If anything, it’s exciting to “know” someone who eats them like toast. My daughter like frozen waffles with nut butter and jelly. It’s crazy, but to each their own.
@ThanosReXXX - If I was a hacker, I’d use that skill to troll only. Like adding highly scored Bratz games to a titan’s game list! By “hacker counter measures”, I was thinking more along the lines of getting snapped out of existence.
@Wavey84 - I’m gonna step way out on a limb here and say that if video games haven’t been interesting to you for the last 18 years, you probably don’t like video games anymore and haven’t for quite some time.
Wow some M rated posts here on Chit-Chat thread, but those demons look like they have been exorcised. I’ll put down my bucket of holy water now.
@NintendoByNature I got that jerk tonight. I don’t even really know how I did it. I was down to my last potion 🧪, and bam! the he was out. Took a while of trial and much error though.
I got my state refund already (6 days!), so I’m thinking this weekend I’ll tear down my old decrepit garden and build a new one closer to the house. I’m going to do a raised bed with cinder blocks, both to avoid wood rot and to use the pockets for herbs.

So, one of my friends sent me this:
I guess we're already at the point where it's okay to make fun of it all. But having said that, it IS actually a funny one, so I decided to share it with you all.
@Wavey84 Nope, I'm with @Heavyarms55. I do agree with some of your points, like certain titles having extreme hand-holding, and endless tutorials, unskippable repeating cut scenes, and personally, I've only ever been a fan of achievements if they actually mean something, so not like getting one for "walk over there and pick up grenade" or something similarly stupid and meaningless, but other than that, I've enjoyed quite a few games on multiple systems, Xbox 360 and Xbox One included, and I most DEFINITELY don't think that the Switch is highly overrated, because so far, it's been delivering in spades for me, and I already owned a Wii U, so you might think that it would bother me to see so many ports, but it doesn't, because a lot of these games got WAY too little attention because of the low sales on Wii U, so they definitely deserve a second chance in the spotlight.
On a side note: seems like you're a fellow Dreamcast fan, so you do have some great taste in consoles there, far as I'm concerned.
@bimmy-lee Ah, COUNTER-measures. I guess I was a bit too hasty reading and replying there, my bad.
@HobbitGamer Good to hear, although something food-related could also have turned out pretty nasty.
I once had food poisoning myself, and that definitely wasn't a walk in the park either.
@NotTelevision Yeah, what the heck. F-bombs left and right. It should be known by any and all existing members by now that this is a no go here. Oh, well. Seems like it's done and dusted now, so moving on...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
Well gang, I’m gonna try not to drive everyone crazy with over posting here, but it looks as though I’ll be home with the kids for at least the next four weeks. My city shut down public schools, and while my daughter’s school hasn’t come to an official conclusion; they’ve already emailed a big homework pack to all the families. Seems to be the thing to do, even though we don’t have any evidence it will help. I think I’m gonna need a vaccine to keep from turning into Jack Torrance.
