Topic: The Chit-Chat Thread

@HobbitGamer It is a social distancing implementation. It's primarily because the main building is almost at full personnel capacity right now. There's a new space in the works, but it isn't supposed to be finished for at least 2-3 months. The original date was in April, but they had to push it back. Besides, at the rate we're hiring, I don't know how much good the new space will do....

They're also forcing any employees who attended a conference down by the Gulf earlier this week and return tomorrow to take precautions and stay home for (at least) the entirety of next week. The few on my team that went are capable of working from home, so no huge interruption in operation there.

So yeah, definitely an interesting day. Some of the precautions make sense, especially the common sense ones. In execution, a couple of things are raising eyebrows.

@HobbitGamer Lawns. Pfft. Such poor land utilization in a tom of population explosion! We should build up! Triple bunk! Nothing could ever go wrong!

Both myself and my coworker have low fevers. Guess I won’t be visiting the bingo hall tonight.

@bimmy-lee I usually just like toasted frozen waffles with some butter. Because I am a child at heart and who cares about staying healthy?

Im still craving a bomb breakfast after last night's posts. Skillets omelettes and frittatas oh my!

Just got a message from my local town gym that they're "closed until further notice" due to concerns with the coronavirus. Now i'm going to get a bubble butt to shake at the beach since I can't listen to Sonic R music while sweating away stuff and thangs that are in the sweat when you sweat them out.

Also, this impacts MY DAD the most since he became a Pokemon GO addict, and they had lot'sa Pokestops and a couple gyms to swipe there and such.

Also x2 speaking of Pokemon GO, I FINALLY hatched another Riolu, and the attack and defense was maxed out, but the HP wasn't. I had a temper tantrum shortly afterwards, which lasted for over 20 minutes, but I was in the right this time since the game was bootleg for doing this to me.

@SheldonRandoms Riolu is absurdly rare in Go. You're better off just trying to find someone else with a crappy one and trading them for the IV re-roll. Or if you can, go for a lucky trade.

On the same note, here in Japan PoGo events have been cancelled. No community days or anything.

@NintendoByNature I agree. Of course, bacon and eggs pretty much always sound good. Or waffles. I like to put shredded cheese in my scrambled eggs. mmm.

@Anti-Matter Time for a little English lesson: it is FROM two weeks ago, not by two weeks ago. By is a word that points to a person or a thing, so if you say by two weeks ago, then that would mean that the video is made BY a person called "two weeks ago". If the video was made two weeks ago, then it is FROM two weeks ago.

@NEStalgia Really though, I hate lawns. My dad loved them and would spend hours and hours each week taking care of it. And sometimes I ran the lawn mower for him too - but he was so picky about it, wanting it cut in a very certain way so the pattern from the wheels was consistent, that he usually just did it himself. Then there were the shrubs, which looked nice, but were a massive pain to maintain. Trimming them was usually an all day event.

But I always thought that if I ever buy a home, rather than an apartment, I would want either a very very small lawn or none at all and absolutely no shrubs.

Oh my God.

Pokemon Go literally has a special pack with 30 incenses (a special item that spawns Pokemon around you), to let people play at home. It only costs one coin to buy, so it's pretty much free.

They apparently also doubled the time these incenses last from half and hour to a full hour, and eggs will take less time to hatch.

That's so... Nice of them. Like, really, no sarcasm.

@Anti-Matter It's not terrible. It's well above average, considering your country of origins, but improving upon it is always nice. And a way to keep the brain busy.

I’m a big biscuits and gravy guy when I’m out for breakfast. I just load them up with black pepper and Franks. Good stuff.

Took my kids on a long nature walk today. It felt good to get out and briefly forget about all the weirdness. We found some cool rocks in the root system of a tipped over tree. I think one is jasper.

@HobbitGamer - That stinks dude, take care of yourself. There’s lots of stuff going around right now.

@Heavyarms55 - Ooh, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a no syrup person. That’s a bold way to go about your waffles. I could probably do it with a nice, malty waffle at a restaurant, but I’m drowning my Eggos in it. I’m not a huge sweet breakfast person unless it’s something absurd like a slice of pie, or the ice cream and waffle sandwich.

@Heavyarms55 Maybe I can get my sister to trade me her shiny Riolu, but that'll only happen if I can bribe her with a rare shiny that she doesn't own but I just so happen to catch, but the outcome of that becoming a reality is any letter of the alphabet getting divided by zero

Also, she has a 100% Jigglypuff, and, well, let's just say, I have a Jigglypuff plush next to me while i'm typing this.

@bimmy-lee I don't always do it that way, it's pretty much only frozen waffles that I like that way. When I actually take the time to make them myself with a waffle maker - which is honestly a giant pain the butt to clean afterword - I use syrup.

I just happen to really like toasted eggos.

@Heavyarms55 I feel like the spawn rate was increased too, before I would get like one Pokémon every five minutes, but with the one I used just now it’s been a constant barrage of Pokémon one after the other
