@HobbitGamer Don't put Cracker Barrel and Banjo in the same post. When you skim it fast it makes everyone picture you as Burt Reynolds in Deliverance.

Wednesdays are typically great for me for some evening game time. Last night was 9:30 for me and Hobbit and 8:30 for NBN, and that worked well for me personally. I can definitely make it an event for a while if you fellas wanna fight. AC might dominate your lives soon though. I think I have to hold off on it this month because I just bought joy con.

@NintendoByNature - All the jumping was amazing. It’s basically my default panic move, “I’m not sure what I should do right now, better JUMP!”

@HobbitGamer - Yeah, that KI cloud stage is always brutal. You had some insane recoveries with Isabelle too, there was one where I was positive you were toast, and then like 20 seconds later you were back!

@bimmy-lee Wait, what? Are you using smileys now? What in the world is going on here? Magically appearing games lists, stoic wrestler fans using emoticons... What is this world coming to...

As for those game ratings: at some point, I wondered if they somehow mixed up my profile with Anti's, because some of these titles are definitely in his list...

@Tyranexx Yeah, pain and distress was maybe a bit too much, but that is what some people feel life is like while being left-handed. But like bimmy, I just see us as masters of adaptation. Not only did we learn to cope, we master stuff and get creative with things that all those righties are still clumsy with...

Oh, and I could hear myself talking verbatim, when you mentioned what you say when sitting next to a rightie...

And yes, somehow I sleepwalked/sleep-typed my way through an ENTIRE GameCube catalog, and even gave them individual ratings.

@Woomy_NNYes To be honest, I don't really expect that my account was hacked, that was just a bit of a joke, but having said that, there ARE pranksters amongst hackers, who just like to annoy, puzzle or even completely drive people insane by changing or adding small things to people's accounts that they themselves know they never did. Not all hackers are out for money or anything. Some just do it for fun, and because they can.

@NotTelevision I'm not expecting everyone's database/games list to be changed, but it isn't really much of a coincidence anymore when multiple people have this occurrence. And are you SURE that ALL of the games on your list have been added and/or rated by you?

@antdickens I already mentioned that, but it still does NOT explain how these games end up on my personal profile, since I rated them in the GameCube article you guys once made, but I did NOT add games to my profile myself, so that does NOT explain how they ended up there, just from me having rated them in an article, and there's lots and lots of games in there that I really don't like or own, so the ratings that "I" supposedly gave them, don't add up. And I'd give Sims and Bratz games a 3, not a 7, because I hate those games.

And what's more, it also does NOT explain how these games are on my "Have" list. I may have rated them, and in a fit of insanity/forgiveness, I may have rated games I don't like a bit more mildly than I normally would, but I only did that in an article, and it would never be more than a 6.

I actually once considered making an actual games list, but then I saw how much work it is, so I ultimately decided against it.

Oh, and I don't forget: I have an elephant's memory. And like I said: this list wasn't there last week, so how the heck I supposedly managed to add and rate SO many games in such a short time span, is beyond me.
And how come my "Have" list only has GameCube games? I own nearly all Nintendo consoles and handhelds, so it's a bit strange that my list only consists of retro software, no?

On a side note: I like to spread rumors? This is the first time I ever wondered what the heck is going on. It's not like this is my default modus operandi. If anything, I'm one of the most factual people you'll never meet, so I don't think I need labeling as a rumor monger...

@NEStalgia Tread carefully now, train boy...

ThanosReXXX

@Woomy_NNYes Well... not really. It still doesn't explain why these games are in my supposed "Have" list on my profile, because most of these games I rated in that article, are NOT games that I actually own.

And why the hell would games that I rate in an article be automatically added to the games list in my profile? That just makes no sense whatsoever.

No, it DOES explain it. When you rate a game, it gets added to your profiles games collection. The logic being, if someone rates a game, they either own it or have owned it, the default being the former. The rating system and game list system is one and the same thing.

Maybe you didn't realise that is how it works, but it is. So yeah, it does explain it

@antdickens Well, no offense, but that's a rather stupid mechanism. Maybe you guys should have then put a little disclaimer in articles where you invite users to rate games, because I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one that didn't realize that these games would then be automatically added to my profile as games that I supposedly own, while I definitely do NOT own them.

Now I have to spend my own precious time and energy on the decidedly needless effort of having to remove games that I don't own...

Oh, well...

antdickens

@ThanosReXXX you're the first to question it - so I'm not sure it's that stupid. We obviously wouldn't want ratings from people that haven't actually played the games, so it makes sense in terms of design. Same reason you can only rate a game once, and not multiple times and multiple different scores.

Zuljaras

@antdickens So that is why I have Pokémon Sword and Shield in my collection here?! Damn.

Better change it that if you don't have it in your collection you can't rate it. Or if you rate it you get a confirmation window that tells you that if you rate it, it will be added to your collection.

@antdickens Well, maybe I'm the first because I just happened to check my profile, something which I'm pretty sure not a whole lot of us do all the time...

And if making and/or completing a profile is supposed to be a completely voluntary act, then games being automatically added to it, actually IS rather weird and/or stupid. If I had WANTED to add them to my profile, then I would have already done so. Now I've spent the last hour removing all the crap that isn't supposed to be in there.

And you STILL haven't explained the fact that these games were on my "Have" list. Just because I rated games or had an opinion about games in an article, doesn't mean that I own all of them by default. Heck, almost half of them weren't even available in my region.

So yeah, I'd still vote for a disclaimer, the next time you make a "rate your favorite games list" article, and on that note, I'd say that @Zuljaras' suggestion on how to handle the mechanics behind it, is a pretty good one.

@NEStalgia Oh, just go look at some shrubs, pal...

@Eel That gets a bow and a tip of the hat from me. Good joke.

Tyranexx

Weird, long, dreary Thursday. There are also some interesting temporary changes of operation concerning my place of work where a certain widespread health crisis is involved. Let's just say we're temporarily sharing our space with one of the other teams right now. It made for a weird morning.

@ThanosReXXX Masters of adaptation...I like that. I'd say that description is quite suitable. We definitely notice things that other people do not, such as members of our own club lol.
