@Ninfan Well, that's actually not really true. You can literally find everything under the sun on Google. You just need to know how to use it to its full extent, that's all. So, perhaps the average Joe may not always be able to find things with the help of Google, but come on: I mean, "what is Blizzard"? I really don't mean any offense, but anyone who's into gaming more than the average person knows who Blizzard are. They've been around for decades, and they're even mentioned on here, whenever a related game or event features in an article.

But okay, let's say you really didn't know them, then there's still dozens of other examples of one sentence questions that you frequently post on here, and to be honest, 9 out of 10 times, most of us know the answer to them, so if we know them, and/or can find the answers to them ourselves, why can't you?

And that is why it subsequently makes me, and probably several others on here, wonder what the heck is going on with you and what you're on about, in a kind of "is this guy for real?" manner.

EDIT:

Case in point, I Googled your exact question, and look at the result. I outlined them in red for easy visibility...

I cleaned the house after work, then I grilled up some burgers for dinner. I am now become sloth. Time for a short siesta before Live PD is on.

Busy day in this corner, but a good one. I was able to leave work early and have been kicking butt in the "Crap needs done around the house" department. Just gotta take care of some paperwork before going off to shower, and then...MOAR DRAGON QUEST! 8D

@ThanosReXXX Usually the YouTube algorithm sticks to videos at least somewhat related to my search history, but some truly weird things pop up from time to time. I blame the few YouTubers I rarely watch.

If flyer miles could translate from dreams, I'd have plenty; I've had a recurring theme in a few where somehow flapping your arms straight up/down (not rapidly, more like what happens when you tread water) causes you to rise a few thousand feet each time. No worries about oxygen levels at all until you leave the confines of Earth's atmosphere. Usually this theme is peppered in with more mundane stuff.

Probably the coolest one I've had recently is one where I was a vigilante of sorts and could rapidly wall-jump between buildings. I'm blaming My Hero Academia for that one.

@NEStalgia Older Nickelback isn't BAD. Besides, the song is worth a look as I feel it speaks volumes about the political environment in general.

@NotTelevision Superpowers in general are pretty awesome, even if they do exist in the landscape of the mind. Some of my favs are flight, liquid metal manipulation (think T-1000 meets Magneto), and shapeshifting.

The late/missed deadline dreams thankfully don't happen often, but man are they horrifying for those first few seconds after you wake up. "Crap, I slept in half the day and missed work! Wait...my alarm hasn't went off yet."

I've also had the "underclothes at school" dreams, but nobody usually notices in those. I'm the only one.

@Ninfan Have a look at the edit I made to the comment above yours: the picture clearly shows the answer to your question on the FIRST page that Google displays.

A couple of search tips for future reference:

  • if a word MUST be in the search results, so in other words, you want an EXACT search, then put a plus sign in front of the word, attached, without a space in between, so for example, not just GameCube, but +GameCube, and then the word GameCube will always be in the search results.
  • If an entire sentence or several successive words in a defined order must be in the search results, then put that sentence or these words in between quotation marks, so that Google will see it as one search object. So, for example: "how old is the GameCube" instead of just how old is the GameCube, which while it might actually give you the right answer as well, will also search for all the separate words, possibly putting the result you're looking for lower in the list of pages.
  • Same as with words that you DO want in a search result, you can also mark words that you DON'T want in a search result, simply by adding a minus sign in front of them, so like this: -GameCube. Now Google will skip all search results with the word GameCube in them.

I hope that will become of some use to you in the future...

@Tyranexx You actually fly outside of the stratosphere?
That must be lucid dreaming, then. I'm always stuck in classic dream tropes: can't ever finish stairs, they just keep rewinding me back down, and when flying, I only ever reach the clouds, or sometimes, I just float or hover around at eye level, annoying and/or amazing all the people around me that happen to occupy my dream at any given moment. The reasons why I suddenly fly are also never clear and/or relevant. It could be in the middle of a conversation or just straight up from the beginning. Yup, dreams are weird.

Not nearly as weird as real life, though...

@ThanosReXXX I don't think I ever have fully left Earth's gravitational pull in those dreams, but I think (it's been awhile) that it's been to where I could see whole continents before. I have a strange fascination with maps, and the contours of most landmasses are normally pretty accurate. But yeah, it's also never really disclosed why I can fly, other than it's done just for fun or to get to some place in an obtuse way.

I've never had the endless stair dreams to my recollection. I have had one or two where I could float for some reason though. Most of the dreams I remember are either repeat offenders, more recent, or left such an impression in my youth in the horror/weird/awesome departments that I still recall at least some if not most details.

Real life is weird. Where are the pause and rewind buttons? And I wanna rewatch that cutscene....

I’m jealous. I only ever remember dreaming of doing everyday tasks. I’m boring like that.

I haven't been on here much in a week, because I've been talking to a girl.

@NinFan Yeah, google can be very unhelpful at times. If I search a science topic, I often have to add "site:.edu" to my search words to search academic/college websites.

Whew! Beautiful day here, and it's supposed to be similar tomorrow before some rain moves in during the overnight hours. I think we might be in for an early spring. On one hand, I want warmer weather. On the other, I absolutely hate yard work....I did a bit of tree limb cleanup today, though that didn't take too long. I also have a fallen tree down towards the creek that borders the back of my property to take care of. It'll be bittersweet since it clearly isn't dead...yet.

This honestly constitutes about half of mine, though something absurd is bound to happen at some point.

I decided to take a break from Witcher this weekend, so I’m playing some others. Enjoyed a few rounds of Fortnite, Pocket Camp, and Phoenix Wright.
I’m on the fence about Animal Crossing next month, but after watching the Direct this morning, I’m leaning towards it. How many of you are getting it?

@HobbitGamer I've never played Animal Crossing, but there's a chance the hype might get me to buy it. And, Outer Worlds was scheduled for March 6, but i think Coronavirus delayed that.

@Tyranexx Those ā€œunderclothesā€ in public dreams are really embarrassing. I keep thinking ā€œhow did I forget to put on clothes?ā€

Don’t have them anymore though. They must be common with a lot of teenagers.

I’m getting Animal Crossing because I had positive experiences with the couple of other I tried in the series. The one thing they didn’t talk much about in the direct are how the social interactions with the AI work. I guess it’s better to save that feature as a surprise for the players, but that’s always been my favorite part of these games. You develop connections with the villagers and they remember your hobbies, interests, and certain details of your life.

Is that something that built upon in New Leaf, or is less emphasized than in the earlier games?

HobbitGamer

@NotTelevision I’m pretty lapsed, only having played AC (at a friend’s)and New Leaf (barely), but I’m willing to grab this since it’s both TV and handheld. Guess that means I’ll have to play it on my regular Switch(?)

I don’t recall the AI remembering much past your birthday and whether you give them gifts or trash in the mail.

@HobbitGamer Yeah we’ll see then. The GameCube AC seemed to have a rudimentary personality algorithm (Do you like to play sports or watch them on TV?) that changed the future interactions with villagers depending on your answers. It would be cool to see what a more complex version of that could result in.

It looks like a wonderful game though. Can’t wait to dive in.
