Watched the sonic movie, was great. Kids loved it. It came out last Friday but it was still a full house. Came out within the school holidays so thereās the explanation.
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
@Zuljaras Thatās a beautiful edition of the game. Love that comic book that came with it.
I had a great time with this one. It is a slower paced game and it has knockbacks like a lot of the Castlevania games, but it always feels fair. The boss battles are also really impressive and grotesque. Enjoy!
@Eel You are the most easily amused person I know.
@NotTelevsion@ThanosReXXX I think everyone should be banned from doing, thinking, discussing, observing, or in any way being involved with anything at all. That would avoid the problems with people being influenced by things they've done, seen or experienced into doing bad things. In fact people should just be kept in their safety cells for no purpose but sleeping to return to productive work under the surveillance of efficiency monitors. It will not only keep everyone perfectly safe and thinking only approved thoughts, but will maximize productive output as is demanded by the investors of their companies, while minimizing costs of maintaining the ever growing population. The workers can survive on only a few meals a week and a trickle of water. Why are investors wasting so much money by doting on the worker with so much more than that?
We need to get back to Quaker principles! Then we won't have comics and rock music and video games and television poisoning minds!
Apologies for the belated replies. I didn't finish playing DQ until a bit past my bedtime yesterday and didn't really check my notifications until earlier. Needless to say I had a ton of fun and now have a full character roster in VIII!
@Heavyarms55 For the most part, I like my job; my manager is pretty flexible, and the atmosphere is usually relaxed. I like a lot of the team I work with as well. We're quarantined off from the rest of our parent company, so we fortunately don't deal with a lot of the drama. XD What I do can sometimes be demanding mentally; it's similar to puzzle solving, where some puzzles are repeats with only slightly varied answers while others require an obtuse solution. While I like being challenged, there are some moments/days where I just need a mental break. My daily tasks vary, but some are the same old "fix this report a certain way so that X customer is happy" and trying to have one thing fit all.
I like programming and do invest extra time into my job when needed, usually to finish a crunch project by a deadline or play with a new feature that may be beneficial. However, these days it's rare for me to have the desire to work on my own code in my spare time; I have many other needs and interests to address in that time. More power to those who start their own business in their off time and enjoy doing so, but that's not for me. 40+ hours a week is quite enough.
The good thing is that the busy days, like yesterday, tend to fly by. But then the evenings blow by faster....
@bimmy-lee The most memorable instance was when one landed right on the edge of a pizza slice I was about to bite into. Much spluttering ensued. It's a grave sin to ruin a memory of one of my favorite things.
I can relate on the ladybug vaccuum technique. It was a frequent occurrence when they were really bad. The house already had hints of their smell at random times when they'd swarm, but the baked smell didn't help matters at all. :nauseated_face:. To this day I dislike any and all literature that paints them as cute and innocent. Overall they're harmless creatures, but they do smell and are capable of pinching an individual.
@NintendoByNature I got in an extra half hour of gaming last night. Every little bit helps! I typically have a little more gaming time in the winter since I don't have much outside work to do.
@NotTelevision That illness occurred over Christmas break when I was fourteen. I had just received a phat DS from "Santa" (my sister was still young), and WarioWare: Touched was one of the games that showed up with it. I had tried an in-store demo at GameStop and had loved it. I didn't know the series started on GBA until sometime later.
That was a weird night. I'd be awake on and off, but it was like the insane, colorful zaniness of the characters and microgames kept playing in my head even when (at least mostly) conscious. It didn't occur to me until the next morning that I was probably running a high fever. One doctor visit later and we found out I had classic pneumonia. We had thought it was only a cold or bronchitis.
@ThanosReXXX While I do like explaining my views on certain matters and am certainly open to hearing different/opposing views, that doesn't extend to a love of politics or most politicians. I'll discuss them if people wish, but it's not a subject I intentionally bring to the table. Plus, I know I'm not as informed as I'd like to be on some issues or else am too confused by conflicting info to formulate a solid opinion on a matter at certain points of time. I try to unearth info in an unbiased way, but that's pretty difficult sometimes. At least in the current political climate over here.
I just wish some wouldn't fall into the trap of broad categorization if someone relates to a few ideals with certain group, but I'm certain that's a point we've both discussed and agreed on.
@NotTelevision Edited? Deleted, you mean...
Luckily, I had already read it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to reply.
So, just out of curiosity: why did you decide to edit it, and did you accidentally completely delete it or what?
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@NEStalgia Yeah, let's make a real life Matrix. I bet that'll be a LOT of fun...
@Tyranexx Yeah, that's always going to be a thing, I'm afraid. Generalizing is actually a thing in politics, so if it fits the agenda...
But to be clear, I didn't mind you mentioning it, nor would I hold it against you, and as long we don't dive too deep into the matter, it's fine by me. However, yesterday, I noticed that by writing about it, I actually started to annoy myself for bringing it up, and it nearly always makes me angry when people do things and speak out without being properly informed concerning the matter they're addressing, so I was basically not doing myself a favor by mentioning it, and as such, I decided to pull the brakes.

Do people believe we are getting 2 directs this month, and if we are what? They could have an indie direct this month. But Sabi and zippo made it seem like we will be getting a general direct this month. I don't think it will happen next week as there is a pokemon presentation on the 27th(thursday) and they wouldn't have a direct on Wednesday as it is the day before. They could have it on Friday but they would announce it tonight. They could have it at the weekend,but it would be bad for journalists as they can't report on it.
@ThanosReXXX I think you're generalizing about politics a bit...
Researchers have estimated that over 83% of people that speak out about things are not properly informed about the matter they're addressing. I saw that on my friend's Instagram.
@NEStalgia Tsss... speaking about non-informed people...
Research has shown that 99.9% of all Instagrammers spend SO much time on making that perfectly faked picture, that they couldn't even form an opinion about any real world issues, if they wanted to or if their lives depended upon it...
@ThanosReXXX I happen to know for a fact that that picture of Sasquatch eating the Loch Ness Monster in the golden pool of Atlantis under the beams of a UFO is 100% real! There's a blog that confirms it! With witnesses!
@DannyBoi
Chills.
Even if there is no 2nd Nintendo Direct on this month, you are still alive.
Don't let your anxiety keep haunting on you.
Me personaly don't really mind if there is no general Nintendo Direct on this month.
Do i have to play all the upcoming games right now ? Not really. I can play them later.
@ThanosReXXX Ah, good. Thanks for explaining. I completely understand that. With me, some of that has a habit of spinning around in my head over and over again, which leads me to turn to internet search engines to research some matters, sometimes for unnecessarily copious amounts of time, which then turns into a spiraling cycle of stress.....It's something I'm trying to get better about not doing if it's only in a passing thought.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Anti-Matter - The mascot at the college I attended was a cardinal, and he was nicknamed Charlie. Charlie Cardinal. It has a nice ring to it.
@ThanosReXXX - Graphic violence was the term the cable movie channels used in the screen before they showed a movie explaining the rating, it came to me today. I was always looking for āgraphic violenceā and āpartial nudityā. Thatās when I knew I was in for a good one. The holy grail of movie channel ratings was āfull frontal nudityā, which was a bit of a rarity here. This is all going to sound crazy if you guys donāt have these sort of screens before a movie starts which show the movieās rating and some of the conditions as to why itās rated the way it is.
Itās pretty buggy here in the flatlands. I did the majority of my accidental bug eating as a youngster, running around and riding my bike, but I will still occasionally have something fly right on to my face or into my mouth when Iām in the yard, or in the park with the kids.
@Tyranexx - Oof, not the pizza! Dang ladybugs. They do look cool, but theyāre a nuisance in number, like any other beetle, if youāre trying to have a garden or grow crops. I canāt remember if itās spring or fall (I think fall) when they swarm, but they can wreak havoc on plant life in numbers like that. I donāt see them in the city, even though Iām in a wooded area, but I still see them in massive amounts at my parents and in laws.
