@bimmy-lee
I have thought about the ring model
The ring is circle with 2 side (Red and Blue side) the size is really huge.
With diameter around 20 metre, the ring surrounded by invisible shield like Blitzball arena to prevent the fighters knocked out of the arena. The invisible shield is like invisible tower with height = 20 m, thus the surface of the ring made of something soft and safe for the birds when they fell down from the height. The invisible shield created from the high tech machine and because of that, the ticket to watch started from US$ 40 (get Economic seat) until US$ 70 (get VIP seat) (i used US$ to show how expensive to get inside and watch the Avian Kickboxing. Actually i will my own currency that i will think about later). The stadium can hold until 30,000 peoples. Since i want to keep the image of my sport safe, there will be NO ring girl to show the Rounds. Instead, it replaced by a flying small robo which display holographic number of Round to keep the sport image Neutral. Also, i don't want my sport become a blood bath sport so during the fight, the birds are not allowed to harm the opponent with their claw / beak / spurs.

Well, i still have to think another regulation from my sport.

@NintendoByNature hm šŸ¤” I'm not quite feeling it judging from that trailer.

It looks a bit too much like My Sims, and at least from the trailer it seems a tad slow. Kinda like, a 3DS Story of Seasons but with more guns.

But who knows. It could be good.

I remember My Sims since that was the game where you built furniture out of fruits and vegetables since nobody wanted to eat them.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

@Eel for sure. It does seem slow, but I think it's intentional. I'll wait to see how it reviews.

MySims was the reason i bought Wii due to cuteness of Chibi The Sims. šŸ¤“
MySims Wii was somewhat like Animal Crossing but only given by two objectives: collect the essences and crafting the furnitures. Too bad, EA screwed the franchise with mediocre gameplay features that have potential to be great as Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Is it bad when you're REALLY invested in a game and it keeps intruding on half of your thoughts throughout the day until you play it again? I've been that way lately with Dragon Quest VIII. There was a really decent piece of story last night, and now a few pieces of the world are more open to exploration. I should also add my last party member (on 3DS) soon.

@ThanosReXXX Fair enough. It's a topic I find interesting, but it's one that I know also turns a few heads with the right (or wrong) audience.

@Tyranexx I have quite a few games that do that to me. Usually a zelda game even if ive played it to death. I know what's coming next, but I just can't wait to see it. So sometimes( usually on the 3ds), I'd find my self playing for a quick 5 minutes just to progress a little further into a dungeon, and flip the sleep mode on until 30 minutes later and do it again.

@NintendoByNature The Zelda series is definitely another frequent thought contender when I'm playing through a game. XD It's usually a pretty good indicator that I'm enjoying myself! My 3DS has been the reason I haven't been on my Switch as much lately.

Unfortunately on weekdays, it's rare that I can play games unless I'm on my lunch break. I typically reserve the latter for adulting and exercise; it's frequently the only time of day I play Pokemon Go when I'm out and about. I'm primarily an evening gamer. Weekend mileage depends on what I have going on.

@Tyranexx Game music infects my daily tasks. I went through 17 tunes today. Sometimes while I’m on the phone with coworkers.

@Tyranexx yea I hear you. I bring my switch or 2ds with me to work depending on what im playing. But i haven't brought my 2ds in a while. Usually I'll game on my lunch which gets in an extra hour a day, and helps me save money from going out during lunch since im occupied.

I try to at least get an hour in most work nights and on the weekends it might be a 2-3 hour session. Like you, it all depends on our schedule usually.

@HobbitGamer About 1/4 of my entire music library is game music at this point. lol.

@Tyranexx Bad? I don't know. But it happens to me all the time. I've never had any problems setting it aside when I need to focus on working, but when I can, I often do think about games. Team building in Pokemon, how I want to level my party for Fire Emblem, what planet I want to attack next in Star Wars: Empire at War Expanded. That sort of thing.

@Tyranexx Oh, it's not that I don't find it interesting, but I figured I'd mainly stop myself, before we get too deep into it and the mods interfere, because it's usually one of the more hairy topics, and it does involve politics, which as we all know, is a big no-no on here. And probably rightfully so...

@Tyranexx Yeah that’s usually sign of a good game. The Zelda series does that for me also and those From Software games.

Tetris takes that phenomenon to whole new level though because you really do start seeing blocks everywhere and you start arranging stuff in your environment like that game. Not into Tetris now, but it was bad for a while šŸ˜†

@Tyranexx - Ladybugs smell weird, and I’ve seen them swarm. It’s a little unsettling. It seems like a lot of girls have a horse phase, but it’s neat that you actually did have access to one at your aunt’s place. Not sure what it is about pretending to make food that’s so thrilling to kids, but it obviously lands with a lot of kids. If they only knew. While cooking can be fun, it seems like it’s just a big chore a good part of the time.

@ThanosReXXX - I thought the term ā€œgratuitous violenceā€ was used in movie or game ratings at some point, but I did some Googling and didn’t see any results. Maybe it was used by a channel like HBO or Showtime, I’m not sure, but I distinctly remember being young and seeking things that were rated gratuitously violent.

@Anti-Matter - Ah, so no pecking even. Just pure bird kickboxing. I like the way you described the ring. I was thinking it would be square, and basically a really tall cage, but round with forcefield walls is cool. What about a top over the ring? Is there a top, or do the walls go up infinitely? You might be selling yourself a bit short with a 30,000 seat arena. People are going to want to see this. Almost 80,000 people packed the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan to see Hulk vs Andre at Wrestlemania III.

@NintendoByNature - Glad you’re feeling a bit better. Dude, I can’t put down Golf Story to make any progress at all on Unravel 2. I’ve been having a blast playing it handheld at the table with a cold one. It’s almost like I’m really playing golf, but even better because I don’t play golf.

The fighting area is like giant cylinder, covered by invisible shield including the top. (Diametre = 20 m, height = 20 m)
30,000 seats was too small ?
I didn't know if 80,000 seats was a standard for Wrestling stadium. šŸ˜…

@HobbitGamer I have random game tunes bouncing around my head at times, too. I also tend to listen to extended video game music tracks on YouTube as it's easier to think with them vs. normal music with lyrics. I've been giving the original Xenoblade Chronicles soundtrack a listen recently.

@NintendoByNature I've brought my DS Lite to work a time or two but haven't brought my Switch yet; I hope to try that soon. I try to exercise during my longer lunches most of the time, so it's a bit difficult to devote my resources to safely walking while having my nose glued to a screen. XD It definitely depends on the game however.

I average 1-2 gaming hours most weeknights, usually longer on weekends. Whether or not I have anything going on definitely affects those numbers.

Last but not least: I'm glad you're starting to feel better!

@Heavyarms55 It's a "problem" that comes and goes depending on what I'm playing and how invested I am in my work. Part of the problem today was that I was stuck on an issue; often when I've been stuck for a long period of time, my mind tends to wander. I try mitigating that by moving on to a different work item (we have such a backlog that I won't run out for ages), but I'm only comfortable putting something off for a short period of time if it can even be put off to begin with.

It also depends on my interest in the subject matter. I work with a massive client/server application and like or dislike different areas. Reports are often tedious or mindless work. Conversely, I love messing around with our Google Maps API calls and how they can be formatted.

@ThanosReXXX No problem there, that was me agreeing with you. And I have seen how politics online can change certain atmospheres in an instant and have a habit of popping up in the most innocent of places....

@NotTelevision I can't say I've ever had to deal with seeing Tetris blocks everywhere - I like the game but have never spent copious amounts of time on it - but I do understand seeing random reminders of a game in the surrounding environment. Perhaps I should avoid Tetris 99 when I do finally subscribe to the NSO service....

I'd say the weirdest game-related experience in my book related to a delirious fever dream. I was pretty ill at the time and had just discovered the wonderful WarioWare: Touched, so I'm sure you can imagine. XD

@bimmy-lee "Smell weird" is an understatement. At their peak, you can smell the suckers almost everywhere. Due to a couple of unfortunate accidents, I can also attest that they taste exactly how they smell. Which is to say: very bad. Nature gave them their coloring for a reason.

Horses were probably one of the least tomboyish things I was into at one point. I still like them, but I definitely have no desire to own one now. One wouldn't be happy where I live.

Ah yes....If only making food was as easy as my pretend years....I don't dislike making food per se, but I also get no enjoyment from doing it. The big killer for me, at least when it comes to more elaborate dishes, is the cleanup.

@Tyranexx Xenoblade has such outstanding music. I listen to that soundtrack frequently.

I've always rationalized work (or school when I was younger) as something I need to do, in order to be able to do the things I want to do. I am lucky and blessed that I have had rather good jobs that have no demanded so much of my time that they prevent me from doing things I enjoy. But on the same token the fact that I see work as a means to an end is probably why I lack any real ambition beyond paying the bills and having enough leftover to support my hobbies. The people who have the most success usually either have much more expensive hobbies and goals, or actually enjoy working in and of itself.

I can totally sympathize with losing focus on a task that you've been stuck on for a long time. When I worked in an auto factory, shifts blurred together heavily because I was effectively doing the same thing every single day for hours and hours each day. At the same time, I consider that both a negative and a positive, as my current job often has me trying to come up with new ideas and has a lot of inconsistency with my days being sometimes super busy and other times mindbogglingly dull.

@bimmy-lee it's so good I can't even blame you. It was a day 1 for me when it launched and I can't wait to see where they take sports story. I love getting a nice solid chip in from a distance. Really satisfying. Thanks for the kind words too. Cant remember but can you play golf story online?
