@NEStalgia Oh I see what you meant, yeah, liking Pokemon these days is kind of as dangerous as liking Sword Art Online (another series popular to hate on that I also like). It's not that I don't see or even share some of the legitimate criticism of the series, it's just that the negatives don't remotely outweigh the things I do like about them.

As for Disney, I don't have any strict issues with Disney IP. It's the business end that I hate and consider malicious.

@Knighty_IX Yeah, it's like I said on another Nintendo site I subscribed to: it's either going to be playing with friends, or just practice, practice, practice, because there's always going to be these super-fanatic zealots in there, who'll potentially break the game's mechanics and the fun in the progress. But I thought it was okay and entertaining enough. And it looks pretty decent, for what's basically a last gen upscaled game, seeing as it was already on the Xbox 360.

I wouldn't want to generalize f2p shooters, though. I very much like Warframe, for example, and that's a VERY solid and well-thought out game. Except it's not really a more realistic military shooter, which is what I'm looking for. And although the faux-terminators and off-planet maps in Warface don't exactly cater to that realism I'm looking for, it at least also has normal weapons and soldiers in there.

But my deepest wish is for a shooter with a large single player or co-op campaign. I'm not much of an online player, let alone massive multiplayer online, because of the aforementioned zealots. I like to stand a chance when I play a game, not being sniped 10 times in a row within the space of less than 2 minutes.

But I'll stick with it for now, and then we'll see how much entertainment I can get out of it. And I'm not going to complain all that much, seeing as it's free anyway...

This is pretty much where I'm at with Disney. I like a lot of their IPs and still find the parks magical (though expensive AF), but I don't like how they're trying to become the Amazon of entertainment.

@ThanosReXXX It's possible that quote is from something else too, but I'm reminded of both that movie as well as the parody done in a The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. XD

@Tyranexx I feel like I've known that phrase for all my conscious life, but it's probably one of those nasty collective memory thingies, thanks to all of those classic movies...

@ThanosReXXX We'll just leave it up to collective memory for now. It's one of the many, MANY phrases I have bouncing around in my head from various sources. XD If I were to spout every quoted line or lyric every time I'm reminded of it, I'd drive plenty of people up the wall.

Guys, I don't know soccer, could someone tell me the most famous soccer player in Europe these days? I could Google it, but I'd rather ask people directly.

@Heavyarms55 Like with many other sports, there really isn't one most famous player, although I suppose that if you'd ask a hundred random soccer fans, then the name Cristiano Ronaldo might come up the most, and then Lionel Messi, and then Virgil van Dijk.

That the names of these three players will more than likely be at the front of soccer fan's minds, is also because all three of them have won a lot of prices last year, so currently, they're basically the top three players worldwide.

Just out of curiosity: why'd you ask? Is it because you're living in a soccer loving country, and as such want to know a bit more about it?

I had like 4 popsicles today (including a very elusive watermelon flavor).

@ThanosReXXX That's actually not too out of my own character where the haunted house stuff is involved. Understandably, as a general rule we aren't allowed to directly reference movies or characters. Which means no Gollumexx.

@Heavyarms55 soccer players are terrible all over the world theses days, but I'd actually say the ones in Japan and korea are really good

@Ninfan Honestly you could show me the #1 ranked professional soccer player and the "worst" professional player currently in the league and I would be able to tell you about as much about both of the. I am reasonably sure both are homo-sapiens and reside somewhere on planet Earth. Beyond that, nothing.

Oh I know another one: they probably have nicely defined calves.

Anyway, I played Resident Evil 6 for a bit, the first two chapters of Chris' story. It's quite good on switch, although I haven't tried the online modes.

@Heavyarms55 well all soccer players in europe are rubbish at the moment. I wouldn't waste your time looking at them.

@Eel what are the controls in resi 6 you mentioned, what's different to other resi games

@Ninfan it’s third person over the shoulder, kinda like Resident Evil 4 and Revelations, but with a bigger emphasis on action and movement. It’s like, explosions here, explosions there, jump to the side, punch the zombie, shoot shoot shoot.

One thing I don’t like is that you need to equip the hand grenades and stuff like it’s a gun, and there’s no touch screen gestures for it, so it feels clunky and you end up wasting time trying to use those sub weapons.

@Zuljaras @Ninfan Goodness, that's harsh. Are they so bad? I'm about as much of an outsider looking in as it gets, so I know nothing about it.

@Heavyarms55 No fair play, almost everything is simulating, and they care only about their image and money.

If you compare it to the past is like a completely different sport.
