I did see the discussion on the albino snake. I got to help hold an albino boa constrictor when i was a kid as part of a show. That thing was HUGE; it took three or four other kids, along with the handler, to help hold the thing. She was completely docile the whole time. "Babysitting duty again? Sheesh. Well, whatever man."
@ThanosReXXX The two main actor trainers are also our two main line actors. They're in cahoots a lot since they work at the same full-time job in the same general area, but both are in charge of different things. The scary thing is that they're also in charge of other people....
You definitely learn a lot of jargon with my side "job". It's more of a volunteer thing, but we do get a monetary bonus if we help out with a lot of the extras. Even without that, I'd do it anyway since we're provided with food and, if needed, the makeup and costumes.
And, of course, because it's a nice break from the norm to scare the living crap (almost literally) out of other people....
Edit: Oh yay, Best Buy sent an email a little bit ago; my new Link's Awakening amiibo is on the way!
@Tyranexx I was kidding of course, I know full well what you meant by head actor, but once a man's head goes in a certain direction... well, I'm sure you get the picture...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Tyranexx Whààààtttt? No, ma'am, always respectful, always...
It was all because of that weird pixie game review. Me and @NEStalgia kinda got caught up in a forum topic someone made about it. @HobbitGamer also visited. It was an odd discussion, as these two fine gentlemen will be able to confirm...
Either way, between that and the Chit Chat thread going in all directions at once, the mind of a man sometimes gets a bit overloaded...

I’ve been playing some coop in DxM and gotten some new fancy gear. My fav is a shoulder mounted laser cannon that swings forward on firing, like my own little SDF-1

@HobbitGamer, the only thing I've one so far is a figure of the character Nami from the One Piece anime (I'm not even much of a One Piece fan, but when you're playing on free plays you really just got to have pacience and look for a winnable machine no matter what it is).
I won it on an app called Toreba (it's actually the second thing I've won from them, but no one was home to sign for the first thing I won, a Rei figure from Evangelion, and the post office sent it back before I could make plans to go down to the post office & pick it up).
Since then I've begun to play around with other similar apps (from what I gather, anything based in Japan itself is usually legit, though similar apps run out of China or other southeast Asian countries are usually a bit more sketchy to various degrees).
And for proof:
My phone camera is pretty low end, so it's a bit fuzzy.
And yes, I did post this in the anime thread awhile ago.
Speaking of playing games, I've been playing a classic one on my PC called Wing Commander 3. So far I like it, did get stuck at one point since the game kept sending me to the Proxima system, which means bad ending. Though I did overcome it today and wound up in the correct next part of the game, so that's cool. Anyone else who play games on PC tried this series?
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy wing Commander is classic! I miss the era of space fighter simcades. Wing Commander, freespace, Independence war, freelancer.... Great genre that's gone but. Also eff EA for killing Westwood and wing Commander!
@RR529 that's insanely awesome. And amazing they'd ship things... Signature required.. At cost... For free plays. And it's not even a scam. #onlyjapan.
@ThanosReXXX Ah, my apologies. I was a bit confused by your previous post. I legit thought you were being subtly ornery there. Too much time around my own family, it seems. XD (I blame mom's side)
I've peeked into that thread long enough to know that I have no interest in the subject matter there. I ignored that review entirely (knew nothing about the game anyway before that point) and wouldn't be able to contribute anything of value.
@HobbitGamer Not sure what you mean by OG there either. I just know I've read enough of it to realize that I'm way out of my interest league there. XD I pretty much concurred with what I found under @StableInvadeel's spoiler tag at one point in there - that I'm not interested.
Edit: @RR529 I've never heard of any apps like that before, but they sound awesome!
@NEStalgia It's a genre I never had a chance to experience. So far, I'm playing this one and the turn-based Wing Commander Armada. I do remember trying a demo once to Freelancer a long time ago when I got my first gaming PC years ago. Haven't played Freespace, I'm guessing it's part of the Descent series, I believe it's the same developers IIRC.
@Tyranexx Is it bad that I thought of this version when the Sonic movie trailer was revealed? Or better yet, my classmates calling it Oddish Paradise when Pokemon first started getting big?
@NEStalgia, actually Toreba ships for free as well. You get 5 free plays for signing up, and after that if you put $10 in even just once (actually just a bit less than that since the $ is stronger than the ¥) you get daily free plays indefinitely. It's usually just 1 or 2 a day (but depending on what promotions they have going on I've gotten up to 4 one day), so you're not likely to regularly win on free plays, but it is definitely possible (I'm sure they get their money's worth though, as once I was stuck behind someone who I'm sure spent no less than $100 trying, and failing, to get a figure, based on the amount of times they played).
Other Japanese based apps (from what I've tried so far) are smaller than Toreba, so they're either much more stingey on the free plays though still offer free shipping if you do win something, or give out regular free plays but charge for shipping (I don't really bother with the latter).
Then you have the Chinese/Southeast Asia based apps that always offer knockoff prizes AND usually try to nickel & dime you. There's one called Clawee that wants you to put money in every other day in order to continue getting free credit, and requires you to pay for a "VIP" status to earn free shipping and play for anything bigger than a keychain (which again, are all knockoffs), so I said eff that, lol.
Still, I've heard that there are a few Chinese apps that offer a fair amount of free credit (and free shipping), and are apparently okay if you're fine with bootleg Mario's & the like as prizes.
