@StableInvadeel Oh, no worries there, I will move on, and I also won't be expecting any gesture whatsoever, but the sentiment will remain with me for a lot longer. One of the biggest downsides of being highly empathic. Most people will probably think that being that is all about feeling more with and for people and their emotions, but it actually enhances every emotion, so sadness is also sadness2, and the same goes for impact of things/happenings on memory, so I may only be a virtual Mad Titan, but my real world memory is almost just as long...
@ThanosReXXX - I know it’ll stick with you for a bit, but I hope it’s a minimal amount of time. If you scan the comments of any SwitchLite article, or really any article about anything that could possibly be confused for a SwitchLite; you’ll probably see something similar. I think this person is entering Slig/Amiibo level irrational hatred for the SwitchLite. They just don’t have the streak yet of telling everyone about it every day for years. Give em time.
@bimmy-lee Well, I'd love for it to disappear quickly, but the answer to your hope is right above your comment...
On a side note: I'm not really a fan of the Switch Lite, or as I like to call it: the Switch-less, so I usually skip articles about it, making me miss most of that toxicity anyways.

@StableInvadeel I think that the only thing that I actually like about it, is the various colors. Otherwise, the lack of features compared to the original and improved version that just came out, is way too significant for me.
But I guess it's a nice addition to the Switch family for handheld-only fans, so I don't begrudge anyone for liking it, even if I myself absolutely don't.
I would normally not be so eager to preorder something like it, but well, my brother convinced me to place our preorders at the same time. I'll also travel next month, so it'll be perfect to take with me on that.
I got the turquoise one. It looks really nice on the pictures, so hopefully it's just as pretty in real life.
If all games supported cloud saves, and a Switch/Switch Lite combo managed to sync saves seamlessly, and it were more comfortable than a Switch, I would be more interested. The comfort is especially a thing for me. I played some DxM handheld awhile ago and got hand cramps after 15 minutes 😑

I can almost guarantee I’ll end up with one or two for the kiddos if Nintendo stretches this generation out, which they seem inclined to do. I play docked most of the time, so I’m good, but it’s a nice option for their first foray if they’re interested (they seem to be, and they love Labo), and they’re still relevant when they’re ready. I definitely like the variety in color.
@HobbitGamer I considered that, but I'm fine transferring the save files manually for the few games that don't have cloud. And it's not like I plan to juggle between systems all that often, so it's ok.
@bimmy-lee I feel ya on the fantasy football becoming a chore. I partake still though. Makes it fun since alot of my buddies are in the league.
Side note: I declined the offer folks. I countered, they countered back which was lower than I was willing to take. With that said and the fact that im still happy where i am, I respectfully declined. So unfortunately no Indiana trips bimmy..maybe one day I'll see that face tat.....one day
@NintendoByNature Glad you made the right choice for you. Before, when you made several comments and gave updates about the developments so far, I already had a feeling that saying no would be the right thing, but it wasn't my or anyone else's place to tell you, so you had to make that decision for yourself, so all I did was slightly nudge/trigger here and there. If you re-read my sentiments on your story knowing what you know now, you'll understand...
@hobbitgamer Thanks my Man! @StableInvadeel you dont know me, it's really their gain. I wouldve been on the road playing links awakening and lm3 the whole time anyway 😉. Obviously joking lol @Thanosrexxx Yea thanks dude. The 2 pros were big ones ( more money and room for growth). I did want more than what they were offering though due the travel and leaving the fam 6-8 nights a month. But the cons were far worse. Plus they called me at 2pm yesterday with the counter and said they needed to know by 4pm if I would accept. No thanks, its a big decision and i can't decide on a moments notice.
@NintendoByNature Well, that makes it sound even more like you made the right decision, because if they REALLY wanted you, then they would have given you some more time. In this case, however, it was them who played the "it's your loss if you don't accept this" card, and they definitely made the wrong bet.
But it's a learning moment, for both parties actually, and there's always something positive to take away from it. So, I say: onwards to even better things, good sir.

@ThanosReXXX I agree for sure. Both my wife and brother said dont be surprised if i get a call Monday coming back with another offer. Either way though, this kind of makes me want to send out my resume to see what's out there.
@NintendoByNature If you're not thinking this yourself already, then I'd advise you to consider this a ship that has sailed. There were several things that were off, like you also felt, so if they now back-pedal or succumb to your counter offer, then that's not a voluntary act, and will always leave room for doubt.
Pro tip: I don't know if you already have a LinkedIn account, but if not make one, and whether you already have an account or still have to make one, make sure that the option that shows that you're available for offers is switched on/checked. Just wait and see what happens...
@NintendoByNature - Yeah, I had a lot of fun for a long time in that league. It’s all old friends, it’s been going since the late 90s, we usually found a way to have a live draft, and I wanted in for years before I finally got a spot. Had a good run, but sometime around four or five years ago, it just became more frustrating than fun. I cut down to just this league at that point, but I eventually just had face the facts and bail. Someone took my spot, and now they don’t have to worry about me taking their money anymore. I was the league villain, and a stone cold killer on the message boards. I cut up more people than Dexter. It honestly feels like a burden has been lifted though. I didn’t even realize how much time I devoted to fantasy and point spreads. Not a big deal before kids, but now my time is a premium.
Congratulations on declining the offer. The flaccid two hour power play is a “no thanks” from me. Great experience though. You’ve been self deprecating, but I know you’re valuable, and it’s good to see you not sell yourself short. Good luck with the search.
@bimmy-lee yea i hear you. Sometimes i wonder if it's worth to keep playing. But i recently stopped playing softball which was something i did for 12 years with the guys. So if I stopped fantasy, that's pretty much me cutting off the guys completely. Who knows maybe 1 day
