@NintendoByNature I have never had Jagermeister and probably don't want to try it. XD If it's as potent/nasty as straight whiskey....
The "too honest" issue typically bit me in the "weaknesses and concerns" categories. XD One of my early mistakes is that I mentioned the whole "Not fond of phones" thing. I will if I have to, but there are a ton of things I'd rather suffer through. 😅
Glad that you already seem to know what you're being offered. I've rarely had this happen and dislike that they try to gauge/eliminate candidates based on what they want. You don't wanna low-ball too much but also don't want to scare them off. I typically use "I'm negotiable" for that question anymore.
Bummer that it's O'Hare, but I suppose one can't complain too much if it's already paid for. XD
@StableInvadeel That stuff is very rarely if ever fun. Hope you kick it quickly!

@RedderRugfish Indeed, the anniversary had me hooking up my Dreamcast just to do an offline quest in Phantasy Star Online... offline. Took longer than expected to complete, but completed it nonetheless.

@bimmy-lee it reminds me of the time I got appendicitis, by the end of that ordeal, while I waited for surgery, the pain was so strong my body entered into the puke reflex mode at timed intervals.
On one had, you have little 16 year old me hugging a trash bin, trying to throw up every other minute with nothing to throw up anymore, just the horrible nasty feeling and weird contortions that come with it, but on the other hand, you have that amazing feeling of relief that came after that, and for a few seconds, the gut pain is gone.
It’s amazing how my mom actually diagnosed me just from looking at me when I came back from school. Like, she used her doctor third eye.
@StableInvadeel - I entered that cycle once for about 45 minutes when I was trying to pass a kidney stone. My body was freaking out so bad, it just decided, “maybe this will get it out.” I think when things get really bad like that, our brains just assume it’s always going to be that way; and every moment you spend not doing the horrible thing is pure bliss. Appendicitis is scary, but at least you got a cool scar.
@RedderRugfish Cool, I imagine it's very fun with others. I've always played this offline, even during its heyday. The ISP my family had at the time did not support Dreamcast (AOL, I don't think it was supported), and by the time I got PSO, we had cable Internet, but didn't have the broadband adapter.
Never did get around to picking up PSO on GameCube, could have benefited from the split screen as my brother also played PSO, and we could have played together.

@StableInvadeel - It was pretty bad. Unique too. It’s discomfort in an area that’s uncomfortable. I’ve heard the same about appendicitis. My friend had his removed at 13. His attack started at school and he said it felt like he was suddenly stabbed with a hot knife.
@NintendoByNature - It’s actually “Psikyo” because I’m also a shoot em up fan as well.
@RedderRugfish - Thanks for the link. It doesn’t look like anything too disappointing. The Doritos Locos tacos are a relatively new addition to my TB repertoire. Otherwise, I like a trio of hard shell, and soft tacos and beef meximelts, which are all safe.
@bimmy-lee my apendicitis wasn’t quite that immediate, I absolutely started feeling something was wrong at school, and came back home thinking it was a regular tummy ache. After that it gradually got worse through the day.
Sigh I remember the pulsating feeling, like it’s gonna explode at any moment. (And to be fair it totally could! That’s when it finally becomes a huge problem)
@StableInvadeel ugh feel better quickly. I got food poisoning last year from chicken wings. The morning after eating them I was in the back yard chatting with a neighbor, started feeling weak so I wandered inside. Passed out and hit my head on the floor, which immediately prompted me to come to just in time for my body to hit the emergency ejection valve. I’ve never seen the dog run away so quickly.

It's been awhile since I've had food poisoning; I think the last time I definitely had it was from potato salad that had sat out too long. There's a such thing as getting way too acquainted with the porcelain throne in my humble opinion.
A bona fide case of the stomach flu in college is still responsible for the worst bathroom campout I've ever had.
(I'll refrain from getting too descriptive since this stuff doesn't typically bother me unless I'm sick, but I do know some people are more squeamish than I am.)

I actually got salmonella food poisoning once in college and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in terms of illness. I might have actually had to be hospitalized had my roommate not made me drink water in order to avoid serious dehydration. And about 36 hours after it began and my body finally stopped rejecting anything I tried to eat - I still had no appetite for almost a week. I went several days on water and a handful of saltine crackers.
And although I can't say for absolute certain, I am pretty sure I got it from undercooked chicken from the university food court. It was over a year before I could bring myself to eat anything from that vendor again.
Only other time I was sick in a arguably worse way was when I had some kind of lung infection that lasted several months. Never did figure out what that was because I stubbornly never saw a doctor. In hindsight that was probably stupid of me.
@Anti-Matter It's okay my friend, let's just forget about it and move on.
@HobbitGamer Segways are friggin' dangerous. But good alternative, nonetheless.
@StableInvadeel I hope you remember your own comment the next time he lectures someone...
P.S.
And "thanks" ever so much for waking up @NEStalgia the train nerd again. More "wonderful" topics coming up...
@Tyranexx Well, not having any pizza place anywhere near you might also be a good excuse to go and jog to them. Doing some exercise to get to the fast food might make you feel a little less guilty and/or negate the effects of eating it...
Then again: if we're talking several miles, then that might not be such a good idea after all, unless you're in real good shape.
@NintendoByNature I was going to say good luck, but then I realized you must have already had the interview. Hope it went well. You got some good tips from other users already, so I hope these helped. But for the next time, always remember that an interview is a two way street, not an inquisition, so they should also show YOU why you would want to work for/with them, it's not just a matter of we're going to invite you to hold a speech and put you on the rack and do 20 questions...
@Heavyarms55 Well, the most important thing is that you enjoyed it. Good thing this demo came out, otherwise, you'd have to take a chance on the full game. But far as I'm concerned, most if not all of the games in the series are good, so they're a pretty safe bet overall, if you like JRPG's.
Agreed on the invisible walls, though. On the other hand: I was glad that I wasn't able to accidentally fall off that mountain, at the beginning of the game, so in that respect, it's kinda good that they're there. That and some other minor gripes is probably also the reason why many reviews mention the label "classic JRPG", because in some ways, the games feel kinda old school, but personally, I also feel like some of that is part of its charm and attraction as well.
So, now that you've played and enjoyed the demo, I guess you'll end up buying the full game as well?
If so, then don't erase the save game of the demo, because the progress in that demo carries over to the full game. Unless of course you actually WANT to play it again.
@RedderRugfish 20 years, huh? How time flies, man... But I'm still happy that I own one. After that first Dreamcast Collection on Xbox 360, I was kinda hoping that they would release more of them, because far as I'm concerned, there's a whole treasure trove of games that definitely deserves to be known by more gamers than just us fans of the system.
I'm normally able to ignore the ads on this site fairly well, but fair play to the Black Desert guys, putting Megan Fox in your ad has won my attention.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@StableInvadeel I'm already quite tolerant, so no need for me to take that journey, thanks.
I guess I do need to go on a solitary journey of "how to let go of not being able to hold people to the same high standards as I do myself when in online discussions"...
