There is no more effective protest than buying an expensive consumer item and smashing it on camera. No one has ever been more moved - moved to laughter.
Seriously why would you smash your own thing in protest to anything? It reminds me of all those morons who burned their NIKE shoes and smashed their drink makers (I forget which brand) after their companies put out ads they didn't like or stopped putting out ads during certain political shows.
Like, do these people think anyone cares if they buy a product just to smash or burn it? Once you buy their product, companies couldn't care less what you do with it. If anything - they like the extra publicity of some fools breaking their stuff on camera.
If you want to just burn money, why not just give it to a cause you support instead?
lol I've done stuff like that. Watching YouTube on TV via whatever console, switch to PC, YouTube is my home page, end up watching YouTube there instead.

Some blame violent video games for the rise in mass shootings in America but the New York Times worldwide mass shootings article with actual numbers and facts seems to disagree on the reason .The New York Times Articles Conclusion Is: It's not video games, culture, mental health, access to mental health care, or racial division, it's the number of guns. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/07/world/americas/mass-shooti...

Oh boy. Apparently they're starting up the "video games make you into a murderer" nonsense in the US again. Brace yourself for another wave of articles about this all over the internet.

@Heavyarms55 Most psychos don't even play video games.
I guess they also blame cigarettes for the addiction?
They will eventually run out of things to blame and realize that people have to take the responsibility for their own actions.
Obviously shooter games do allow people to go around murdering people, but I'd bet almost every single person who ever plays a shooter knows that the consequences in reality are much worse. I'm sure there probably are a few people who have shot someone after playing shooters, but that's not to say video games make you a murderer. This whole thing is just wrong.
@Zuljaras Oh I am at the point that I don't respect you as a functioning adult human if you actually think video games cause violence. But beyond that, I just meant my comment as a warning because every time some brain dead 76 year old politician starts talking out of their butt about this topic, cable news and mainstream news sources will start spouting it everywhere again. It seems to happen every time.
@Matthew010 Sure there are killers who played video games, but that's as relevant as what they had for breakfast that day. Unless someone has the kind of extreme mental disorder where they can't perceive the difference between reality and fiction - and there is no actual evidence of that happening with anything close to the same frequency of mass murders, not that I have ever read.
@Heavyarms55 Damn right!
Also why stop at video games. Forbid also other forms of art like movies, paintings.
Why stop there?! Forbid sports that include violence like boxing, kickboxing, MMA that the only purpose is to make the opponent unable to stand up because he/she is hit too many times (and too hard).
