@NEStalgia I'm pretty sure you're just doing it wrong
I've never encountered any of those issues you're describing. The camera is necessary for head tracking, so I don't see it going away any time soon. There's gyro, but if you also want to track the position without having to calibrate it every other minute, you need a second device to keep track of that.
@NEStalgia The second you'll step onto an actual snowboard, I'd expect it to go as I described earlier,
and I also wouldn't be all that surprised if we'd see it end up at America's Funniest Home Videos...

@Anti-Matter Not really, Labo VR needs you to hold the device to your head...that's worse actually Of course it's $40 and not $400, so there's that...
@Octane. Oh it never works for me. I think it must be fine if you have an Ikea showroom to live in. Otherwise, the controller has to be held at odd angles to compensate for where the camera can/can't see, it often jumps randomly, where on-screen it thinks the controller is held 90deg sideways when it's straight. (I don't understand that since the light should tell it.) and I get the "out of range" often for Astro Bot for example when trying to look around in the extremes. You go off camera or something blocks the view if you don't have wide open areas.
The camera really must go. Otherwise VR remains a niche for those with Ikea living spaces and not for the masses.
@ReaderRagfish Don't worry, that just comes naturally with the territory of gradually becoming older and slowly shuffling your way towards extinction...
@NEStalgia Ah, well. It isn't for everybody, I suppose.
I do picture you safely standing on a Wii Balance Board, although I'm not quite sure that even on that contraption, you wouldn't be wildly flailing your arms around as well...

@ThanosReXXX LOL...well I played Shaun White Snowboarding using the Wii Balance Board, successfully, so there!
@Octane An Ikea studio apartment. I have the camera balanced half sideways on a pile of boxes I set up just for the camera.... And I tripped over the wire and dragged the camera down into the potted plant the other day....
@Octane Well, the piles of physical games, collectors editions, joysticks, have to go somewhere But seriously, the TV isn't even centered it's off in the corner so anything VR needs to be a temporary setup just to do VR.
I have breath of wild since July 18 and only played for a hour once.I will play and love! zelda but am shocked I still haven't had that 5 hour session to get it going.am I mad!.this game suppose to be one of best nintendo have made.not gonna help with a new born baby.am gonna find time am missing out ☺👍✌anyone else think as good as everyone says.no spoilers
@ThanosReXXX No video proof, but the TV still exists and is whole, therefore, it's sufficient evidence things did not go terribly wrong, otherwise it would be in pieces.
