@ThanosReXXX Kids are foolish. I did a similar thing once. My family went to Arizona to visit my grandma and uncle/aunt for Christmas. I was about 5 or so I think. Anyway, I went outside to play and the sun was starting to set. I see this bright orange fruit-like thing, so I pick it up and turn towards the kitchen windows to show everyone. Then I see them all yelling, and I look down.
The âfruitâ had been covered in those translucent cacti needles that you donât feel going in. Had been covered... It took a good hour of my RN grandma to get all but three out of my hand. Still have the divots where three had to stay in.
Kids are dumb.

@AlohaPizzaJack Well, I wouldn't say that this was a case of kids being foolish. You can't be foolish if you don't even know, and I've never seen or eaten an olive in my life, up to that point, so to me, it looked like grapes. And coming from the ocean, on a hot day, squinting in the sun with a salt-crusted face probably didn't help my perception skills either...
Of course, thinking back now, with an adult mind, you'd think you'd easily be able to see the difference between a rather solid black looking olive, and a semi-translucent blue grape, but that's just not how it works in real life.
I think the same applies to your example. You simply had no way of knowing, because you didn't have a logical frame of reference to anticipate what it was and what could happen.
So, I'd like to replace foolish with 'adventurous', 'impulsive' or 'unrestrained'.
Qualities that do tend to bring kids in far more trouble than necessary, but also qualities that, in my humble opinion, WAY too many constipated adults have lost, and that's not a good thing.
@ThanosReXXX No, you misunderstand me. Children are great at being adventurous. But as an adult, I find it easier to put them in a category with adults for some actions. Should I have been picking up things at dusk in the desert? No, I should not have. I was stupid. Kids are stupid. Theyâve gotten away with not being called out on it for too long!! đ

Regarding the names, I'm sure @ReaderRagfihs would have something to say about that... Edit: Ninja'd.
I like black olives for some reason but never have cared for green olives. I used to think it was the pimento that's usually stuffed into green olives, but I've learned that removing it from the equation does very little to help the taste. As for green peppers...people just tell me to pick them off, but by then the juice has already corrupted the pizza. I can still taste it.
The dumbest non-animal thing I recall picking up as a kid was a large toadstool when I was around 5-6. I knew you could eat mushrooms and fry them up (commonly morels around here) but didn't understand that some were poisonous. I found it in the yard and brought it in to my mom, and she freaked and told me to wash my hands. Luckily, I hadn't put them in my mouth.
As for living things...there's a whole laundry list of them. I like animals and now know to give wild ones their space, but that concept took a bit to sink in as a kid. Let's just say I'm pretty fortunate that I never sustained any really bad spider bites.

@ReaderRagfihs Ah.. fuzz...
So much for reassuring the lady that nothing bad will happen. Or should I say appehn?
@AlohaPizzaJack Eh... either the weekend was WAY too short, or you've just repeated what you said earlier, only with slightly different words.
Your conclusion stays the same, though: kids are stupid.
But that's not something I agree with, not at ALL. And science has even proven me right. Young individuals simply lack the skill set, the frame of reference and the adult brain capacity to interpret, calculate and extrapolate events and their outcome. To an adult mind, that looks like individuals acting/being stupid, but in reality it's not simply a case of "we're doing this because we're dumb and we actually should have known better".
No, it's a case of "we actually, honestly, really don't know, we're new at this and since I didn't know I had to beware or be afraid of this, I did what I did because it looked interesting/fun/exciting/cool/tough".
Children's brains aren't full-grown (dĂČh), and factually miss required pathways/connections to make adult and/or logical decisions. That's why I would never in a million years call 10 year old me stupid, and neither should you call your younger self that, especially at half that age. It's just stuff that kids do, for very explicable and scientifically supported reasons...

@Morpheel you know this has been going on for over a year now, right? youtube doesn't care, and their blocking isn't actually blocking. reporting does crap.

I suggest reporting them and ignoring their comments if possible. Trolls survive on attention and cannibalism.

@Joeynator3000 If you don't mind me asking: how could anyone you banned have found your YouTube channel? I can't remember ever having seen you advertise it over here?
And what troll? There have been so many, especially of late, so a year ago is almost like a century in online time...
