Your conclusion stays the same, though: kids are stupid.

But that's not something I agree with, not at ALL. And science has even proven me right. Young individuals simply lack the skill set, the frame of reference and the adult brain capacity to interpret, calculate and extrapolate events and their outcome. To an adult mind, that looks like individuals acting/being stupid, but in reality it's not simply a case of "we're doing this because we're dumb and we actually should have known better".

No, it's a case of "we actually, honestly, really don't know, we're new at this and since I didn't know I had to beware or be afraid of this, I did what I did because it looked interesting/fun/exciting/cool/tough".

Children's brains aren't full-grown (dòh), and factually miss required pathways/connections to make adult and/or logical decisions. That's why I would never in a million years call 10 year old me stupid, and neither should you call your younger self that, especially at half that age. It's just stuff that kids do, for very explicable and scientifically supported reasons...

@Morpheel you know this has been going on for over a year now, right? youtube doesn't care, and their blocking isn't actually blocking. reporting does crap.

I suggest reporting them and ignoring their comments if possible. Trolls survive on attention and cannibalism.

Why don’t you just disable comments? That seems like the easiest solution.

Just keep reporting him anyway, it doesn't matter if you think it does nothing. It will at least hide the comment.

He still dislikes everything and gets to me in other ways, reporting is just a waste of time.

Now, replying to him and throwing insults, THAT is useless. You're basically falling for his game at that point.

@Joeynator3000 If you don't mind me asking: how could anyone you banned have found your YouTube channel? I can't remember ever having seen you advertise it over here?
And what troll? There have been so many, especially of late, so a year ago is almost like a century in online time...

He managed to find it...guess he just looked my user name up and found it that way. :/

He wasn't really a big deal to anyone on here, but I banned him and ever since then he's been stalking me on youtube.

My signature was blank back then.

@Joeynator3000 Well, if he wasn't a nasty troll, I'd almost admire the light detective work he must have done. Really has it in for you, then, if he keeps on stalking you. I think the others already gave you sound advice: just ignore the idiot. These individuals thrive on reactions, so they can keep throwing dirt and other brain farts. Don't give 'em the time of day, ever. It may take quite a while, but at some point, you not responding anymore will start to bore him, because they need this to be interactive, once that dies down, there's no reason for them to stay around much longer.

Keep reacting, and they know they managed to get under your skin, and they stick around. So don't do them the pleasure. Be the smart one, tough as that may be for now. In the end, you'll feel better having made that decision, though. Good luck.

Like I said, this has been going on for a year or so now, and I haven't bothered responding or doing anything until today because I'm getting infuriated. Ignoring does nothing, reporting does nothing. Youtube just needs to fix their crap and give us an actual blocking system like any other site out there.

@Joeynator3000 Just ignore him, that's the best thing to do. Trolls love attention; so replying to him only gives him an incentive to keep doing it.

@ThanosReXXX I was just being overly silly. Kids are actually great and sometimes better at solving things because the constructs of adulthood haven’t knocked them down yet. 😁😛
