@BenGrimm You beat me to it. I was going to say the exact same thing about Goro.
Sonic looks pretty off, though.
@nintendobynature Saying that there is ANYTHING in the Mario movie that looks less bad than any other early and/or late 90's special effects in game-related movies instantly hurts anyone's credibility, in my humble opinion...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@Morpheel So, does it look anything like that talking Harry Potter hat, or more like a beanie? EDIT:
Hey! No fair posting pictures AFTER people react to your comment...
@nintendobynature Sorry man, no can do. Goro looked quite a bit better.
And more importantly: at least there was a definite likeness, unlike almost anything in the Mario "cult hit"...

@ThanosReXXX in all honesty I watched mortal kombat 100s of times as a kid. My parents never bought it for me so we rented it every few weeks. One of my movies growing up. In the day i thought goro looked so cool. Then I rewatched it a couple months back and realized how rough it looked. I was actually kidding about which looked better btw π
@nintendobynature Of course it looks rough. Almost everything pre-2000's looks rough nowadays, well: except for the old Star Wars movies, which still look like way more of an achievement than any of the newer ones...
@Morpheel I saw that, but before you did, I was in edit mode on another comment, so I didn't get the page refresh until after I posted, necessitating yet another edit on my part...
@nintendobynature Yeah, I'll agree those were pretty good as well. Can't beat early Star Wars, though.
Too many weird and wonderful (and more importantly: somehow still completely believable) creatures in those movies...

I've never played Virtua Fighter but I always found the low poly graphics were charming. It's a shame not a lot of indie games use that style over 8/16 bit graphics.
