@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah it was your "money tree" post the other day that tipped me off to the serial disliker. I scrolled up the thread and saw every post disliked and figured there was a troll in the dungeon.

I’ve not seen raccoons around here, but plenty of opossums. And deer, which have those shifty dead eyes they plot with.

Na, not really. They’re beautiful creatures, but I know there’s nothing pleasant going on behind those eyes. I even tell Jack to quit staring at me from time to time 😂.
I’m under no illusions that animals will do whatever they must to survive. I also don’t begrudge predators for attacking. There was a funny comedy but I heard once about people being surprised that sharks will attack people. In summation, the idea was that a person wandered into the shark’s kitchen at dinner time.

@JackEatsSparrows Oh. I agree about the shark, definitely. People always seem to think that they are the most important, and in that frame of mind, most of them make it too personal, while for the shark it's either just dinner time, as you so eloquently put it, but in most cases simply a question of mistaken identity.

Don't know where you got the idea from that a deer is somehow a malevolent being. Or at least, that's how I interpreted "nothing pleasant going on behind those eyes". I've always found them to be shy, careful and rather meek animals. Much like the equivalent of a shy, soft spoken person.

Cat's are a different story altogether, though: they simply have a mind of their own. And they're predators, also not really comparable to a herbivore...

Oh, and never forget: we are animals too. We might consider ourselves to be smarter than wild animals, but we're not that much higher up on the ladder, really. And we too do anything we must, to survive.

Big difference is, that when push comes to shove, most modern people probably wouldn't last more than a couple of days in the wild, whereas all the other species would...

@ThanosReXXX Nah, deers are cute and quiet things. I was being silly. It was a bit of a play on them jumping across roads like a mischievous squirrel. Before more houses in my neighborhood went up, I'd have deer wander into the yard at night. They're still in the woods, but everyone's fences don't allow the lawn vacations as much. Still plenty of huge rabbits, though.
I sometimes think the only reason we're only slightly higher on the food chain is because we can build brick walls and shelter to keep the predators out.

@Anti-Matter Oh man, you must REALLY start to reconsider what you post before you post it. I want to give you some friendly advice, and I have a strong feeling that you're not even aware of this, but you're really making it VERY easy for people who want to make fun of you. No adult I know, would ever shed a tear over a simple 2D Disney animation. I also didn't think that fragment was anything particularly tear-jerking. I actually had to laugh a bit, because the bug looks like he is stoned or something.

By the way: 1UP_MARIO already was kind of making fun of you by telling you that you have the same taste as his 8 year old daughter, so responding to that with the comment that you just made, isn't really making things any better for you.

@JackEatsSparrows Something to that extent, yes. That and having lost almost all our body hair and gaining a bit more brain volume, enabling (necessitating) us to come up with other solutions to stay warm and safe...

But never mind me. Typical Monday, I suppose, except I'm still on the pain killers for my broken rib, so
I haven't really been clear minded for quite a while now. I'm actually amazed that I still manage to function in some capacity at all...

I am kinda melancholy guy, so.... watching beloved character passed away like that can make me start to drop my tears. 😳

I also did the same thing (started to cry) when i watched Bing Bong from Inside Out (Disney Pixar movie) died by disappeared in Memory Dump in order to save Joy but not as oftenly as Ray's death from the Princess and the Frog.

I do sometimes cry.

@NEStalgia I never even tried to figure out who he/she was. Didn't even think that was possible for anyone other than moderators and web masters, but I didn't care to do that either, I actually only noticed, after OorWullie pointed it out to someone else, and I started to browse some articles, to see what he was talking about.

And I shed a tear during Land Before Time....Meet the Robinsons...Toy Story. Granted, TS may have been due to Randy Nueman's terrible songs.

@Delibheel Well, maybe I could feel a bit sad over a slightly more "realistic" 3D animated movie, but that fragment was just laughably childish, and nothing that made me feel sad or teary-eyed.

But the larger point I tried to make was him apparently not (actually almost never) getting the message that people are making fun of him, in which case you better just not respond at all, instead of responding like someone said something sincere to you, which wasn't the case here. I tried to point that out in an as friendly manner as I could, but the message definitely isn't reaching its intended destination. Or not as it should, anyway...
