Wow. 2016 also marks the 10 year anniversary of when InuYasha finished it's run on Adult Swim (It would have just been a few months ago, at that).
I know it doesn't mean anything to anyone other than myself, but I just mentioned it because it makes me feel old, lol (I was starting my Sophomore year in high school at the time).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
If you have an android device and you don't like the app launcher that came with it, Nova Launcher Prime is on sale on Google Play. It's very smooth, highly customizable and has some great features.
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
I've not heard of InuYasha before, but from googling a description of it, it's probably something I'd like.
It was insanely popular back when it was airing new episodes (it was Adult Swim's lead in ratings grabber anime during that time), but as time has gone on, the anime fandom hasn't looked back as fondly on it as it has pretty much every other popular anime of the time (such as Evangelion, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, etc.). Heck, I'm the only anime fan I've ran across in any gaming forum that remembers AND likes it, lol.
Now, It's not perfect, as it was one of the mangaka's few attempts at a serious story (she usually does comedies), so it's very largely "story/monster of the week" in it's structure for quite awhile (while it has a clear goal, you really never have a gauge of how close it is to completion during this time), and furthermore, it's different than almost every other shonen adventure series in the sense that it's not a battle series (there's fights, but it's usually the group as a whole fighting the foe, without many one on one fights, where each member of the group gets their own fight each arc, like in most other shonen action series). Each character has their own role to play, and their maturation (both as characters, and especially in their relashionships) is more important to their success than new attacks/transformations (which are few, and almost exclusively limited to the titular character himself, and not his cohorts). The anime studio somewhat messed with the character development, as they wanted to play up a love triangle that wasn't as big of a deal in the manga (this makes the female lead come off as a bit of a witch, from what I'm told from people who don't like it), and anytime during filler content (anything not in the manga), they make the characters revert to their "phase 1" personalities, mucking up their character progression.
Still, despite it's issues, it's one of my favorites, and while there are things the anime studio changed which mucked things up a bit, there's also changes/additions they made to it which I enjoyed, and don't want to spoil. The first 2 seasons are on Netflix, so if you have it and are interested, I'd test the waters there.
On a happier note is anyone as excited as I am for the power rangers movie next year?

After a few messages back and forth, they agreed to return us around 50% of our money.
Buying the missing supplies separately would cost a bit more than that, but in the end it's basically as if we had only bought the items we received without the bundle.

I totally want to see that!
What I don't want to see are a bunch of Hollywood rejects in costumes that may as well have been CGI, they look so unnatural, while fighting monsters that looked like the deranged brain-children of the SyFy channel's costume guys after they got tropical fever from a steakhouse in Okinawa. At least the Megazords aren't as dumb as they could've been.
I mean, there are designs even Michael Bay would reject, right?
I almost forgetttttttted to change my avatar to something X-mas related!
Also on the topic of 10 years ago, Elite Beat Agents, the game DAT might've scratched my DS touch screen, but worth it, it was. Even too THESe pic cuz Y not!?!?
@the_shpydar Also, I hear DAT name a lot while I'm in best buy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm debating whether to watch Sing or Assassin's Creed over the holidays....Unfortunately I don't have time for both.
I hear Assassin's Creed was pretty bad. Sing will be worth it.
Of course it's bad. The story in the source material was bad enough. Why, in all that is holy, would they think it'd be worth making a movie based on it?
@Nimkip More TLOU sounds great, but I really don't want a film adaptation. Different actors and all, nope. Although I said the same thing about TLOU2...
Eh, you know, I always said that The Last Story of Us would've made a better movie...but I wouldn't watch it either, even if I had never played the games - I hate zombies by principle, and even moreso, I hate douche-y protagonists with questionable morals. So I'm just going to go back to ignoring the entire franchise outright. There's nothing there to be gained, as far as I'm concerned.
Guess I'll watch Sing and save Assassin's Creed for Netflix or rental then. Sing's trailers roped me in some time ago. XD I admit AC's story can be convoluted, but overall I enjoy the plotlines (in the games, anyway) and love reading up on actual historical people/places/etc. that appear in the games. (Yes, I'm a history nerd. )
