Just ordered a black New 3DS on Amazon I'm so excited to get it — I love my OG 3DS but it is old and long overdue for an upgrade.

I bet the OGO79 3DS breaks future stability updates from Nintendo because it's MEGA STABLE!

I'm tempted by that black New 3DS as well, but there's nothing really wrong with my normal red 3DS. Plus, without going into detail, now isn't the right time for me to splurge on a new system... :S

My amazon extravaganza of self indulgence, aka my "black friday" (Mexican edition) purchases, got here today.

I played Animal Crossing on the Wii for a good while, and the amiibo cards were nice, very few repeats.

I also got Little Big Planet for the Vita, and a new Casio wristwatch. It has a calculator, it's so retro-adorable.

Yup! I imported my WW character over.

It looks identical, just the town is considerably larger.

And apparently the grass is weaker than a level 1 wishiwashi. In WW grass was sparse, but permanent. In this one, the town starts full of grass and it slowly dies off.

Also, the pointer controls aren't exactly optimal, but they work well enough.

Tomorrow's the day when I make history in my family. What am I doing? I'm finally bringing a Sony console into the household. I'm picking up a PS4 tomorrow. It's time.
I'll also be picking up a New 3DS as well. As well as other stuff, because Black Friday. I can't wait!

For those that live in the US, is there any way to get an Amazon Prime free trial? I don't fancy paying for a membership, since I live outside the US and use Amazon only a few times a year, but they have some wonderful discounts on games this year - to the point that even with all the importing expenses they´re cheaper than here!
I used my current mail as a way to access a free trial at the beginning of the year, if I create a new account will I be able to get the trial?

Yeah, its sounds cheap... but I really don't want to pay special access just for a one time thing.

That's why I'm going to upgrade to the New OGO79 3DS. Only costs $799.99 more — and it plays old games only!

@Tyranexx I agree, it's a tempting price but imo still not really worth it if you already have a functioning 3DS. However the reduced price is a good opportunity for me, since my OG 3DS is having battery problems and showing some concerning physical wear, and I'll take any chance I can get to buy the regular size n3DS in NA at a cheap price (I need faceplates!) Better performance in Pokemon for example is also a nice bonus.

Guess my Black Friday's gonna be on Thursday, which is fine, I'm gonna celebrate Thanksgiving on...Sunday, I think? I probably should've paid more attention when she called me up yesterday.

Yeah, I stuck with the PS4 this time because it had the best deals. Seriously, there were no good deals on any of the 3DS games I was looking for...except maybe Fire Emblem, but that's never been a priority for me. I still gotta finish the last one I got. At least I got one that'll be a different experience than I'm used to, another one will be the finale to a series I've been procrastinating on despite enjoying what little I've played, and the other two will be the definitive versions of two games I already know I greatly enjoyed, but never finished due to life-reasons.

I won't be participating in any Black Friday insanity; I'll just stay home and sleep in for a change. :3 I don't get many days off of work, so I'd rather spend it relaxing instead of driving/dealing with insane people.

I may check out some Cyber Monday deals since I'm on the lookout for a new phone, however.

@Luna_110 you can sign up for a free 1-month trial, but only if you tie a credit card to it.

I assume they can tell when you try to cheat them.

@Tyranexx I just bought everything online. But its a one-and-done deal, so at least now I don't have to feel that temptation. Honestly, I got so many games now, that I'm wondering if I should take a break game websites until February so I don't feel tempted to buy anything more...but I do enjoy talking to you guys...

Well, its easy enough for me to avoid the news page, at least. I guess I could "limit my online use" instead of stopping entirely, and just avoiding websites like Gematsu and RPGFan's main page (also an easy deal, despite them having good editorials and well-written reviews).

Just got a nice Sony power bank/portable charger.

I've never participated in Black Friday, and I won't be doing so again this year, lol.

Anyhow, I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! Ham! Pumpkin Pie! Chocolate Pie! Stuffing! Green Beans! Oh, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is always a fun watch.
