Is it because the whole wide world knows that America has made a catastrophic decision? That they are a laughing stock?

One of my American friend is trying her hardest to emigrate to Canada as of this morning, and another one who I used to go travellling with feels deeply ashamed of being an American.

That's how I felt the last few years with Obama. I am really glad Trump won honestly and look forward to seeing what he does. He can't be any worse then Obama. In all honesty though, it will probably be more then likely like every other President and nothing will get done.

At least Obama was able to keep his hands to himself, isn't a sexist, isn't a racist, isn't a bigot, isn't an xenophobic, isn't an egomaniac, isn't a compulsive liar and so on and on.

Mr Trump campaigned against migrants and against Muslims, insulted black and Latino Americans, launched ads that some saw as covertly antisemitic, and was cheered to victory by every white racist in the land.

Americans have done a very dangerous thing this week. Because of what they have done we all face dark, uncertain and fearful times.
