Topic: Nintendo removed original Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze from E-shop

Nintendo recently removed Donkey Kong Tropical freeze from the Wii U Eshop. You can still buy it physically through their website, but the digital option is no longer available. I would assume this was done in preparation for the upcoming Switch version, as maybe a cover up of the noticeable price difference? Of course it's not confirmed why, but if that's the reason it's a pretty scummy move by Nintendo.

Suddenly "WiiU has no games!!!!1!" has a whole new meaning....

I find this very odd. There must be something going on behind the scenes.

@AxeltheBuizel Because it was €20 on the eShop, and they're trying to make everyone forget about that fact by deleting the whole game off the eShop. You know, so they can charge €60 for it on the Switch.

It's still on the Europe Wii U eshop, only removed on the NA eshop.

@Octane oh yeah, I forgot about that. Still seems kinda odd, since in this day and age stuff like this can spread quickly.

Wouldn't be surprised if owners of the physical Wii U version tried to sell it for a higher price since "RARE WII U VERSION OF DKC:TF, ONLY ON DISC FORM NOW!"

Also, Nintendo might've removed it since Wii U version wasn't funky enough.

Some were expecting to double dip on Nintendo, but in reality, it was Nintendo who was double-dipping on us all along.
