Topic: Nintendo Life AMA

I found a few other old threads with single AMA topics, and just thought I should make a general one. For people who don't know, AMA means Ask Me Anything. It can be nintendo related, or off topic, just to start a good discussion. I'll do one to start it off.

I took a food sensitivity test and found out that I'm sensitive to 17 different foods. AMA!

@pilot I mean I guess this is cool, but I feel like the chit-chat thread is like this already.

@Snatcher yeah, but in Chit-chat you can talk about other things too, I just thought we could focus on AMA in this section.

I feel like this kinda of thread only works well if it's a Staff member who starts it. The ones I remember that did well we're Ask James and Ask The Black Dragon.

In general people I think are more interested in finding out and asking staff members question rather then just some random user.

I'm assuming the OP must be a rockstar, world leading scientist, a famous athelete or something like that to warrant an AMA thread for themselves.

Yeah... I get your intention, but having a thread where random people can ask random people "anything" can possibly lead to some creepy situations, assuming anyone actually wants to be asked anything to begin with.

These types of threads work better on other sites where the people starting the thread have anything interesting or worthwhile to answer, but here, we're just random people on a site where we have rules against self promotion and repetitive threads.

@jump you didn't even bother to ask them that. This isn't a good start.

And really couldnt we just ask each other stuff in the Chit Chat thread?

What would happen if u ate all the foods you're sensitive to at the same time.... @pilot?

@BruceCM I’m not sure. I only got the results today, and they’re mostly foods I eat pretty often. I’ve been pretty gassy my whole life, and I guess I know why now. So to answer the question, I would probably fart a lot. 😂

Oh, nothing too serious, at least, @pilot.... So, what games do you like? Just a few examples or something

@BruceCM Games? That’s a little off topic but sure. I really like core Pokémon games, Mario games, breath of the wild, etc. just basic stuff, along with rocket league and a few other online games. I also play on PS4, and my favorites on that are Jedi Fallen Order and Spiderman. Just lots of mainline games like that.

@NintendoByNature ha! Good question. The boring answer is that, 20 years ago, it's the name of a song that stuck out to me (the name, not the song. The song is okay i guess) and it always seemed available whenever I needed a screen name. I like how it sounds, but it is a bit mean spirited innit? In spite of my screen name I believe that we are all cool dudes/dudettes.

The exciting answer is, when I'm not on the forum, I'm a super hero and the losers are the criminals I apprehend. Practicing medicine without a license? I will find you.
