@Kermit1, I really need to watch Dunkirk one of these days. Heard a lot of good things, & I like a good WWII film. Not sure if it's available on any of the streaming services we sub to though.
Interestingly enough though, that very comparison is brought up in that Forgotten Battle trailer I posted.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@RR529 I watched it on Netflix when I was in the US. Dunkirk is my favourite Christoper Nolan movie, it's amazingly paced and it has a shockingly small amount of dialog, Harry Styles was surprisingly good in it too.
I'm going to see See How They Run in a few hours. I will give my review when I return.
It was a great time at the cinemas, I enjoyed the film tons. When I went, me and my Mom were the first ones there for half an hour before the film started then 4 other people showed up and the film started.
I loved this film, it was shot very creatively and I thought the cast did a great job. The twists and turns the film took were pretty "typical" for the genre but done in a very stylised and different way, and the cinematography was great and added a ton to the film. The comedy was hit and miss but I'd say it hits more than it misses, the satire was well played if a little on the nose.

8/10: A very fun Whodunnit that's well worth your time.
I watched the new Scream movie and it's enjoyable enough although the meta commentary people like from them seems to be repeating itself from the last film of this is a reboot/sequel LOL with some added shots at toxic fandom and arty horror movies. For a lot of the excitement about it doesn't seem to do much differently from the past films apart from being slightly more gory but not much gorier and they killed off an unexpected character although I suppose that's what people want from it, more of the same.
Do people really like the Scream films for the whodunnit aspect? The reveals are always with silly motivations and there's not enough clues to work it out (besides eliminating all of the red herrings) for it be like Poirot/Sherlock mystery.
The originals were satire, so I think the motives were meant to be a bit silly or otherwise unlikely, @jump .... I doubt it'd work as a serious whodunit, although I have not yet seen the recent 1
@BruceCM It is a satire rather than a spoof, satire can retain homages and meta commentary without everything feeling intentionally silly whilst spoofs are just a bit silly for the sake of it and too on the nose like the embarrassment of the Austin Powers or Scary Movie movies.
Yeah, I'm sure, @jump .... I've only seen about half the original series of them & thought they were pretty good but not this new 1, yet. If I do, I'll try to post more about it
@Rambler How do you confuse them together? Cary Grant is the main character on Sex & The City and the other James Stewart is a sarcy political comedian so there's not much to connect them.
Finally watched Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time ever!
I absolutely loved it. Extremely goofy yet utterly captivating and even downright horrifying throughout, it was a delight from start to finish (the amount of s*** Indy somehow managed to survive was both hilarious and astounding in equal measure). They also give me a hankering for those Lego Indiana Jones games honestly, hope those get the Skywalker Saga treatment at some point and get remade for modern platforms. Currently planning on marathonning the next 3 movies in the franchise over the coming weeks so stay tuned for my thoughts on Temple of Doom next week!
Also, this is one of the greatest movie scenes I've ever seen.
