For those who don't know, The Invaders are a group of WWII-era superheroes comprising of Captain America, Namor, the original Human Torch that's an android, and a bunch of other lesser-known supers like Spitfire and Union Jack. I think there are a bunch of good things that could come out of this:
It's a good excuse to bring Chris Evans back for one last run
We could see Cap interacting with other supers during WWII
We could see Namor in a WWII setting where he belonged in the comics
It's a great way to introduce Logan to the MCU as well, since he literally did fight in the war alongside Cap
It most probably won't happen, but I do enjoy fantasizing about these theories. lol Ah well. I guess Cap's war stories with Wolverine will just have to remain a fantasy for now... or in comic book form at least.
@Kermit1
Yeah, but it makes sense. They cancelled it for tax purposes, so WB can’t use it for profit anymore. Still probably should have kept the footage though.

Watched Wish Dragon tonight. At first I was expecting a friendship story, then I was expecting Aladdin, and the movie went in directions I didn't even expect it to. I loved it! At first, it started out with Din and Lina meeting and becoming friends, and Lina moving away. Years later then Din meets the dragon, I got Aladdin vibes because Long gave Din a suit and tie, to impress Lina, who is now a successful model. When that ran out, I thought Lina was going to be mad at Din for lying, she got nostalgic being back in her old town. The end left me and my mom in tears. This whole movie surprised me.
Also, saw Trolls World Tour again yesterday as another local theater did a summer event. Feels so good to be able to see this one twice on the big screen, this movie still looks excellent on the big screen. The first time was special, the second time was nice too.
I wonder if WBD will ever make something non reality show related. I mean The Batman 2 has not even been greenlit yet and J.J. Abrams like 500mil contract is trashed (he just sat on that pile o' cash).
Also did anyone see the announcement of the Gravity Rush movie... I'm scared because the people involved have worked on some dumpster fire movies.
The scrapped animated Popeye movie leaked. I'm legit mad right now, it's soo good, I can't believe we got the freaking eMoJi movie instead of a really good Popeye movie.
@HotGoomba apparently Sony is going to sabotage Spider-Verse 2 with a "Madam Web movie", it's plot sounds terrible.
The plot (someone leaked it) Terminator-like robots want to kill Peter Parker's mother before he was born. So then a time travel adventure happens with Madam Web and some Spider-Man knockoffs to stop the robots from killing Peter Parker's mother.
The Kraven movie sounds worse. He's a "environmentalist" and an "animal activist" who fights crime.
I don't like Sony Pictures anymore (the real Sony makes good headphones though)
NGL, the live action Pinocchio actually looks good. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think Disney nailed it with how Pinocchio looks. Really looking forward to it now. As someone who loved the original movie, I'm quite happy with what I've seen in the trailer so far.
@Kermit1 Meanwhile, Smurfs: The Lost Village got overlooked because people were angry at the studio over the Emoji Movie, even though it's more faithful to Peyo's works than the live action Smurfs movies were.
@Sunsy.... I still want to watch this one more, it has the dying art of stop motion.
Though both will be free, so I guess I can watch the Disney+ one. I'm not saying it's bad, It's just that new Disney movies have been leaving a bad taste in my mouth (though Cruella was kinda good).

Same. I won't be watching the Disney one. I'm more interested in Guillermo's take, as I think he's more suitable to take on what was essentially a watered down version by Disney (which Disney does A LOT for many fairy tales, literature and even historical figures like Pocahontas), especially when the original story was a dark fairy tale like Guillermo's Pan's Labyrinth. He's literally the perfect person to bring Pinocchio to life.
Between the guy who does dark fairy tales for a living or the billion dollar corporation that continues to cash in on our childhood without any semblance of shame, I think it's obvious which one is the perfect visionary to bring a dark fairy tale to life.
Of course, it helps that I really, really hate Disney and all that it stands for. Its use of childhood innocence to capitalize on an entire generation of paying customers is pretty disgusting.
