TIL people doubted Andy Dufresne's innocence, that he did indeed kill his wife, thus rendering the whole point of Shawshank Redemption contradictory (an unfair justice system punishing innocent men).

All things aside, it wasn't that great of a movie anyway. I got bored and didn't cry like the thousands of other people who saw this film.

@Kermit1
True, but I don't seem to cry at a lot of films people do. I mean, I still cry at films, but quite a few popular ones and anime even just don't faze me.

Except Coco though, because screw that ending that made me bawl. lol

@Rambler you don’t mean mature, you mean saucy! If you really want a mature film try The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel!

@Maxenmus I don't cry at any film or game. Though if a good Muppet film comes out... I will shed tears.

@jump do you mean raunchy. Though saucy does sounds better.

@Kermit1 saucy is a British term meaning xxx. Like The Carry On films are saucy rather than mature films like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel where the cast is so old you have to Google to see if they are still alive or not.

I watched Hairspray.................. I feel odd saying this but I liked it. I'm someone who cringes at "most musicals" but this one was pretty good and I thought John Travolta was oddly cast as the Mom but then I watched the movie and it made a little more sense why he was cast (his singing was 10/10).

@Kermit1
They should turn more John Waters films into musicals

Mom and I watched Pollyanna on Disney+ tonight, another live action Disney movie. Neither one of us ever seen this movie, and we both loved it. It was such a wholesome movie. We both loved how this sweet girl, Pollyanna, got a whole town to smile and come together. Though, I didn't expect it to take the turn it did in the end, with Pollyanna falling from high up, and having her legs paralyzed. It was satisfying to see everyone come together to see her off before leaving to the hospital. Also satisfying to see Mr. Pendergast adopt Jimmy (because I called it early on!)

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

TIL Warner Brothers is making a Funko Pop movie:

Never bothered collecting those things, but man, this sounds like The Emoji Movie all over again. I get that there's The Lego Movie, but that film at least had the excuse of being about the creative spirit you have when building Lego blocks into anything you could imagine. Funko Pop, AFAIK, are literally corporate merchandise meant to promote Hollywood films (none of which I became interested in), so I couldn't really see any way how you could squeeze a unique and creative plot out of such a film concept. Honestly, Hollywood movies might as well just be commercials these days. When are we going to get The Walmart Movie? Or how about Too Ford Too Furious to promote Ford cars? Battleship... oh never mind, we already got that one, and it's terrible.

God, I hate that. That's why I don't watch Dreamworks cartoons. Why can't you just focus on telling a good story like Pixar?

@Link-Hero
Lol, I never understood the appeal of Funko Pops either.
They're cheaply made, mass produced figures that all look the same. I don't get it.
