@Kermit1 Meh, I've not heard of the interview you're talking about and both Woody and Alec have little interest to me. Like if Alec really is the greatest actor in the word then why is his magnum opus 30 Rock so cringy? ;p
If we are talking bizarre film interviews, then I want the one from Trent Reznor! I want to see Mr Nine Inch Nails the edgelord rock god of depression, drugs and nihilism talk about what it's like winning an Oscar for a Disney film.
Award shows are boring and overrated, and are only fun if you work within the business. Yay a mega studio won an award for a good film? It's all way too debatable in my opinion, you like what you like don't let a mega studio tell you this is the greatest film to ever grace movies and you need to see it because you gotta get the hype.
I'm venting. Because H-o-l-l-y-W-o-o-d makes me wanna punch wood sometimes.
@jump Alec Baldriwn was never that good of an actor in the first place. He's good sparingly not staring.
@Kermit1 Even though I do enjoy The Game Awards every year (those new game reveals are worth it), I agree 100%. I stopped watching the Oscars ages ago. They barely nominate movies I like anyway aside from maybe one or two Disney movies, so I usually don't watch them and play games that night or something anyway.
@Sunsy I love the Game Awards and all the lovely cringe and reveals.
I love MirrorMask and Labyrinth, despite what people say these 2 films are in my top 3 of all time and I love everything about them (minus Mr. David Bowie's slim pants...). They have flaws but I adore them.
The Muppet Movie is my favourite film of all time btw.
Currently watching Turning Red again, and my mother got a call, so I'm just waiting for her to be done to continue the movie. I've seen the movie before and I like it.
@Kermit1 Sometimes the orchestra, I still love that Super Smash Bros performance from the 2018 show.
Cool. Some of mine include Pinocchio, Trolls and its sequel Trolls World Tour, Smurfs The Lost Village, Frozen and Frozen II, Luca, My Little Pony The Movie, just to name a few. Most of those did not win awards. Maybe Frozen, but honestly, I don't follow award shows so I wouldn't know. I just love these movies.
Awesome!
@Rambler Another good awards are the Annie Awards. While I never seen the show, I think it's not a televised one, I sometimes look at the Annie Awards nominations and results. They tend to specialize in animation, while the Oscars basically treats the category like it's the "Disney award" most years. I like animated stuff the most, so it interests me a bit.

@Sunsy All righty - once I do watch it, I'll definitely think of you. Because I'm a nice guy.
Oh absolutely, the AMC in my area is like 10 minutes away from where I live, to the point where we could just go in whenever we please. That experience of yours does make going out to see a movie a heck of a lot more exciting, I think. Especially if it's a movie you're really looking forward to seeing. It's kinda like how I'd get excited for going on summer vacations and stuff.
Yeah, it's gotta be! I've grown up with Disney movies that have been around a lot longer than I have, after all. lol

@MarioLover92 Given our taste in animated movies is similar, I have a feeling you'll like it. Trolls may start off about a group of cute creatures who love parties, singing, and dancing, but over the course of the movie, the story has some heart to it.
Yeah, it's like you get used to going to the local AMC. I still remember traveling quite a bit to see the Star Wars re-release with my dad, and I still remember that day. Same with seeing Ratatouille, which was the same theater. Funnily enough, that theater became an AMC in recent years. The trips taken made seeing them more special. Even when Trolls 3 comes out November 2023, I have a feeling it will be a fun time, but most likely it will be at the nearby AMC. I think I'll have more memories of the Trolls World Tour trip due to the trip my friend and I took to get there, and chatting during the ride, and visiting a nice little town with an old fashioned theater.
Definitely. Now that I think about it, I think Ratatouille might be the first Pixar movie I've seen in a theater. I think Disney, my first might be Dinosaur during a class trip. Now that I think about it, I'm very happy a Trolls movie is my first DreamWorks movie I've seen in a theater, amazingly enough, it's the one that originally skipped theaters too.

Well @Tremblucay: you've convinced me. I'm going to be watching Luca for the very first time tomorrow and I'm very excited. I'll probably report back here once I'm done watching it because I'm expecting a very good time all around!

@Sunsy Oh that's good to hear. It does help to have an engaging story no matter what kind of movie it is. That's cool, I haven't seen too much of the Star Wars movies, just a couple of ones from the original trilogy, namely A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.
I don't recall seeing any Pixar movies in theaters, I wasn't exactly too huge into theaters back then at least, but I've seen Toy Story and A Bug's Life many, many times back in my younger days, lol. I'm sure I still have my childhood VHS tapes somewhere too. The vast majority of movies that I've seen were just at home. Whether they were VHS, DVD, or blu-ray.
@Fizza Have fun watching it! I've seen Luca recently and I loved it.

@Fizza Hope you enjoy Luca, easily one of my favorite movies. Especially since my mother's side of the family is Italian, so I had a good amount of fun with it.
@MarioLover92 It does there's a good story about finding happiness in Trolls. It's also a musical. The characters sing quite a bit, mostly well known songs, but there's two original ones, Can't Stop The Feeling and Get Back Up Again.
Yeah, I'm kind of casual when it comes to Star Wars. I enjoy them, but they never been movies I would rush out and see. I've seen the original and prequel trilogies, and saw A New Hope as a re-release, and The Force Awakens in theaters. They made a new Star Wars, so might as well see it in theaters at least once.
Yeah, VHS was how I saw most Disney and Pixar movies as a kid. The only Pixar movies I've seen in theaters include Ratatouille, Inside Out, Cars 2 and 3, Toy Story 3 and Finding Dory. Disney movies in theaters, I've seen Dinosaur (as mentioned before, class trip), Zootopia, and Frozen II. If you want to count it, the live action Aladdin.
I seem to have a trend, when I like the first on DVD or VHS, I end up seeing the sequel in theaters.

@Rambler What is the common consensus of which one is the best? I always thought Red was regarded as the best one but they are all worth a watch, it's almost as good as the other great French franchise Minions!
@Sunsy Ah OK, gotcha. Good to know. Yeah, I never was the biggest Star Wars guy myself, but I did play a few games like Shadows of the Empire on the N64. That was years ago, though.
Yeah, I think many of us got to see Disney movies with those VHS tapes that they'd release back in the 80s and 90s. Especially in the 90s when Disney started to get mega popular again. That's cool, you've seen way more in theaters than I have, lol. At least we've both seen Frozen II in theaters.
