I appreciate all forms of music, as long as it is honest and is made for that purpose. Black Metal, in my opinion, is shrill and grating unlistenable noise. It only exists to piss off christians, and is just self-absorbed into the image factor of artistry as are today's pop artists. It's all there to shock people, and once you take that away it really is just God awful music with almost no redeeming quality.

Yeah, took the words out of my mouth. I don't mind some death metal though, particularly those based in Gothenburg or Helsinki.

This Shade Empire album that @MAB posted is pretty good though, musically. Lyrics are pure garbage though.
A lot of Black Metal does, but there's also songs about the majesty of nature like this one.
Of course they mostly pose in belligerent ways but stuff like that didn't stop Braveheart from winning some Oscars.
