I love KIRBY!!! my first game was triple deluxe on 3ds as it was my first console, although I didn't finish it (I sucked at kirby back then) I was hooked. I played a little planet robobot and the 3ds spin offs. Now I played star allies, kirby fighters 2, and most of the virtual console games.
I love Kirby games for how accessible and, (though it may sound strange) how relaxing they are! There are many points in both where you've really got to your mind, skills, reflexes etc. to the test just as they are designed.
Kirby is a great pallette cleanser for those types of games. Can they be challenging? Sure, but something about the general flow of the game just feels really nice. Perhaps it's the satisfaction of using an enemy's power to your advantage
I live how they are a mix between calming and challenges especially final bosses!
I's a jelly!!
Currently Playing: Splatoon 3

I love the concept of Kirby. The actual games are... hit or miss but some of them are very fun. Forgotten Land is definitely my favourite Kirby as well as one of my favourite overall games on Switch.
On Switch I also have Dreamland Deluxe which is fairly good and Dream Buffet which was fun and hilarious but unfortunately wasn't really supported for more than 2 minutes. I played the free game also (Super Clash?) and wasn't a fan. In terms of older games, some are fun but some are a smidge boring.
I'm always excited to see a new Kirby game regardless.
I love Kirby games. Forgotten Land, Air Ride, and Return to Dreamland DX are some of
my favorites. I probably wouldn’t be as much of a Kirby fan as I am if it wasn’t for Forgotten Land, that game is legendary.
I only have two Kirby games on Switch so far (Star Allies & Forgotten Land) but not really fan of Kirby since I gave a try to play some Kirby games on Switch just for curiosity.
I have managed to finish both of those games but I didn't feel really want to play the games all the time as I still have way more interest on 3rd party games than 1st party Nintendo games.
Kirby design looks cute but not really appealing for me so I didn't really have that much interest with Kirby.
I love Kirby. The first one I played was the Super Star remake on the DS and I thought it was fun, but it wasn't until Triple Deluxe that I really became a fan. Which reminds me that I still haven't played the ones I missed (mainly Kirby 64 and Amazing Mirror) on NSO.
I am surprised @DreamlandGem didn't show up for this thread. 🤣
I only played a few Kirby games myself, the first 2 on GB back in the day. Kirby Superstar, and Forgotten Land. I still need to play Return to Dreamland but that one keeps slipping by me. I missed it on the Wii and want to get it on the Switch but everytime I am about to get to it, something comes up.

@Nintoz I much prefer Kirby to Zelda and Metroid. I guess I just like knowing where I am going! Normally just to the right! Lol. The challenge in Kirby is always in the post game bits.
@DreamlandGem Holy fudge, I wish I had a bedroom that looked as appealing, cool and neat as yours lol. I don’t collect merchandise for a lot of video games that I play, though maybe I should at some point.
Regarding the main topic, I wouldn’t consider myself a Kirby fan, but I have played some of the games before and I love them. I enjoyed Super Star and there was this free Kirby game on the 3DS (can’t recall the name) that I played a ton with my siblings. I made a lot of progress on it, but I don’t think I ever finished it. I also tried a demo for the Forgotten Land and liked it, but I never played the whole thing. When I still had the Expansion Pack on Switch, I played Kirby 64 in full and also liked it, so it’s only really that and Super Star that I’ve played from start to finish and completed. I still think the games are super fun! Kirby is very cute and huggable.
Kirby is my favorite video game franchise of all time, it's got pretty much everything I look for in a video game series. They're consistently polished in terms of gameplay and between their short lengths and abundance of side modes manage to be super replayable. The combat feels so smooth and open to experimentation, especially in the Modern Kirby games, and the flashy boss fights are always a ton of fun. The visuals are obviously very adorable and comfy with its charming characters and surreal environments, but I also really enjoy unpacking more of the lore with every game that comes out, and of course the soundtracks are always a bop. They may be on the easy side, but getting 100% is often a legitimate challenge so I usually feel satisfied regardless of if I want something comfy or if I want to push these game's skill ceiling.
My favorite entries in the series are probably 64, Epic Yarn, Return To Dream Land, Triple Deluxe, and my absolute favorite Forgotten Land, but there aren't really many Kirby games I straight-up don't enjoy playing. They've always felt like complete packages to me.
@Mana_Knight I have quite a low tolerance for getting lost in games (which does make trying to get into 2D Metroid a bit tricky lol) but will happily fling myself at enemies over and over with multiple deaths occuring!😂
So yeah I happily get along with things like Cuphead and of course some of Kirby's post-game challenges!
Kirby is a fun series for sure. I still remember playing Kirby 64 for the first time as a kid, it was a nice introduction to Kirby for me. So I have a bit of an attachment to that game. I also really like Nightmare in Dream Land, Super Star Ultra, Planet Robobot, and Forgotten Land. More recently, I've been wanting to revisit Triple Deluxe sometime.
