What I love reading through even more than the general Toonami thread (at the AS Boards site), is the thread dedicated to InuYasha specifically.
Especially the comments of those who have a close knowledge of the manga as well as the anime. They really make me want to read the manga, because apparently pretty much every change that was made to the anime was for the worse, and the biggest complaints against the series are either creations of the anime writing staff (and thus don't exist in the manga), or highly are exaggerated in the anime compared the manga.

Animes I like:
Pokemon
Sherlock Hounds
Tari Tari
Love lab
Oreimo (my little sister cant be this cute)
Kokoro connect
Aiura
The moomins (I watched them in Norwegian)
I also saw the first six episodes of a serie named somthing like "The melancholy of Hatsuke Suzemay or somthing like that. But I didnt like it.
I'm surprised to find someone else who has seen that. It's a good a show. Not quite the Sherlock I admire (he didn't do a lot of dectucting. so much as just solving problems and chasing badguys, IIRC), but still fun to watch when taken as its own thing. I think I heard Solatorobo was influenced by that show, and it kinda shows.

You mean Haruhi? I'm surprised to find someone who didn't like it. I never really interested me, but it did seem like one of those shows where everyone who has seen it loved it. What didn't you like about it?
I bought Sherlock Hounds on DVD this summer, like very much, except the fact he somtimes knew Moriarity was the main villain of the episode without any hint. They could added more crooks, except of that, a ver good anime ^^
Yeah Haruhi was right. I didnt like it because of the way Haruhi treated that timetravel girl, and the paralell dimension dream wathever it was, was just so, uninteresting. I wont buy season 2 of Oreimo because the end is just ethical wrong, but at least we got a kind of more realistic explanation about Kirinos actions. Yeah, Kirino is an obsessed brat (Ruri is way cooler I think) but Haruhi is an obsessed brat with powers. That I didnt get how she got.
Hounds on the other hand, also feels more realistic, except of LeStrads ability to jump extreemly far when it comes to cath thugs
@Tobias95 It's odd that you didn't like Haruhi, since Kokoro Connect is pretty much a deconstruction of Haruhi (which is in turn a deconstruction of school club anime). Out of curiosity, which order did you watch Haruhi in? If you watched it in episode-number order, it's pretty obvious that it wouldn't click at all haha
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
I just find out that there's going to be a 5th Yu-Gi-Oh! series.
The kid's hair looks like a watermelon. Probably going to skip this one, since I didn't like Zexal.
I remember quickly losing interest in the second series, with that kid attending some sort of academy centered around the game. Just seemed so lame compared to the original series.
I also watched an episode of another one of the newer series a couple years back, where for some asinine reason, they had to race motorcycles while playing, lol.

You know, the Yu-Gi-Oh anime is a lot like the Digimon anime. They were both made to simply sell things to kids, yet the original creators of those shows tried to do more than just simply make those shows marketing vehicles. And because genuine effort was put into the creation of those shows they spawned a generation that would only be disappointed when the marketing teams overruled the creative teams in those shows' followups.
Also, I may be projecting. Just a tad.
EDIT: I may also be a big fat liar as to the origins of Yu-Gi-Oh. Seriously, I need to read more Wikipedia pages before I post random stuff on the internet.

Well to my knowledge, the original Yu-Gi-OH manga was just that, original. They made a short lived anime on it because of its popularity, apparently the original manga was pretty dark and interesting. However, they made a tcg game out of it (there's actually RPGS, Mazes, and a ton of other games in the manga other than TCG) and that became enormously popular. So the second anime, which lasted much longer, sort of adapted the manga, but cut out all of the other games into just cards. All the other anime after that wasn't based on the manga at all, just marketing. The original manga ended long ago.

Huh, I never knew that. I guess I just associated Yu-Gi-Oh with trading cards because it was one of the first shows to push merchandising the way it did and succeed partially because of it.

actually it's more like the card game became the focus of the manga after a while and it became popular because of the card game. I think the IRL card game actually came after it was introduced in the manga for a bit.
From what I've read, apparently the manga wasn't popular enough after a while and was eventually cancelled but then the card game and anime were huge hits so eventually he was forced to either have no control over the franchise or continue to work on new spinoff series in some form or another. So basically his original story was screwed over for not being popular and now he's forced to never stop making Yugioh because Yugioh is popular. THE SADDEST IRONY.

Kokoro connect just seems more interesting. Ive seen the to be continued episodes in season 1. I didnt like. Still, I like Kokoro connect. So far, its seems more better
The first 7 volumes of Yu-gi-oh were very dark. The creator even claim he wanted to make a "horror" manga that revolves around games but i think what happen was he just had to focus on the card game from his higher ups and fans really loving the original story were the cards were introduced. I dont mind the many spinoffs. Just like Tokatsu shows Its kind cool to see someone elses take on the card game.
