Watching Maburaho. I haven't seen this show in a long time, I remember learning about it On Demand.
Apparently that's on Crunchyroll. Has been for years. I have checked Crunchyroll's complete catalogue a bazillion times...I don't remember ever seeing it among them.
I'm halfway through Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and I may have to take a break. It's been getting really episodic since episode 7, and it feels like the main story has been progressing at a snail's pace. Sure, there's plenty of character development and backstory during these episodes, but it's really getting frustrating because the Gamilas are the most interesting parts of the series, and we barely get to see what they're up to in little tidbits per episode recently. Perhaps I should try a more focused show? I guess we'll see what I'm interested in tomorrow...
The thing that made me stop watching anime in Crunchyroll are the damn ads! Do they still have them? After Maburaho, I'm probably going to watch Eureka Seven next.
Yes. Even free players on the internet have ads last I checked, though. They're kind of necessary for survival when you're selling something for free...
That said, Adblock. If you can't stand ads and don't have it yet...WHY?!
No. I mean the ads are spilt into 3 parts. I find a better site to watch anime.
Just wondering...how exactly does DBZ stretch fights out for so long? I've never watched the show, but I looked up some famous fights from DBZ for kicks, like Goku vs Frieza or Goku vs Vegeta. and theyre like 3-4 hours! How do they do that, and more importantly, who would want to watch a fight that's 10 episodes long? How do they stretch a fight between two individuals so thin?
With powering up and flinching. Lots and lots of flinching. I would say look for the DBZKai versions if you want it to be condensed.

...yeah, 3 parts. 3 commercials for the entire episode. For a legal site, that's not that bad. And the first ad is always showing anime on their site, last I checked.
And again, you can use ad-block if it really pisses you off that badly. It blocks video ads, too.
@Canis But by that point the whole reason you'd be watching Crunchyroll in the first place would be moot since you're killing a source of their income. The reason you watch on Crunchyroll is to watch anime legally and support the industry right? Well AdBlock wouldn't support the industry at all.
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

...I use Crunchyroll because they have official subs, and good ones at that, unlike most of the fansubs I've been suscepted to. And I don't think they get money anyways unless you actually click on the ads. Besides, I'm a subscriber now. I'm doing all the supporting I'll ever need to.
I haven't really watched any anime in several months now (beyond stuff I've already seen before), so I'm hoping Ouran High School Host Club and Madoka Magica will re-light the spark.
Neither are necessarily in "my genre", so to speak, but I've heard great things.
Yeah, beyond knowing the basic reputations and premises of both shows, I'm essentially going into them blind. Which is not something I do as often as I'd like.
Finished up the newest chapter of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi!
After thwarting Yami's kidnapping plan, Akisame, Sakaki, Miu, & Kenichi rush to the Yami facility, in the hopes of finding out where Shigure is being held.
They quickly find themselves in confrontation however, as a Scaramax master & a Franciscan master from Yami's armed division appear.
Akisame & Sakaki step up to their challenge! Who will win?

Speaking of One Piece spoilers...I'm only done with Alabasta, but I already know the rough outline of the series, all the way up to Punk Hazard....as in character deaths, some backstories, powers, characters, plot elements, etc....I almost wish I could un-remember most of it...
I don't know why but I'm getting the sudden urge to see what Lupin III is all about....since he's been around for quite some time.

yeah, it sucks, don't read spoilers anywhere ever is my suggestion.
Lupin III is luckily a series where you don't need to start at the beginning and there's no big long running plot so you can just watch whatever and you'll get it. You can pretty much get the idea of the whole series from just a special or two.
Every week the manga keeps on giving. I just hope the animators do a better job when it comes to Dressrosa. Punk Hazard officially comes to a close after the next episode, 625 and I think that they should introduce a small filler arc (5-8 episodes?) so that Dressrosa won't suffer from slow-pacing, extreme stretching and panel-padding.
I really want to see Dressrosa animated. BIG TIME!

I first starting One Piece back in 2004 and unfortunately for me it was the 4Kids massacre that got me. Even though it was a poor, poor dub, I still really enjoyed it. Anyway they cancelled the show right at the end of Alabasta. Fast forward 6 years (2010) and I start the original Japanese animation from the beginning.
Funnily enough when I reached the end of the Alabasta arc again I was spoiled HEAVILY. Even though I knew what was happening well before I reached that point, the journey it took to get there was amazing and completely worth it. Besides, things actually panned out a little differently than what I had initially heard and even though I knew the outcome it took nothing away from the experience of when I finally reached it.
I suggest that you stick with it. Don't rush through and take your time, oh and try to avoid spoilers too.
I know it but I'm not really a fan(too long to try)
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

I just recently started reading Black Butler, and I think it's pretty interesting but I have a lot of other titles on my manga read list.
Does anyone know if it's worth continuing?

Golden Time 5-9: I think I figured out what this show's main flaw is - there's way too much plot. There's so much story and backstory happening that it's impossible to cram it all in, which is why they end up having half-episode long flashbacks and characters which don't appear for huge lengths of time. There are still some good moments, but the rest is pretty mediocre.
Samurai Flamenco 1-6: I have a lot of trust in Noitamina (I'm pretty sure half of my favourites were on that block lol) but this show has been patchy so far. I like the idea of a hero whose only superpowers are determination and an unbreakable sense of justice. Mari has been annoying though, with all the sympathy pains and whatnot, but she's still pretty funny when she's with the rest of her group.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
