It also helps that I like to buy the manga of One Piece as well, it is very good as well. Whenever I read it takes me back to a few months ago when I was watching it in anime form. Of course, I don't really like that Viz censors the language into sometimes goofy insults, and that it adds in random stereotype pirate lingo, but it's more than tolerable. It doesn't censor anything other than language so it's still pretty faithful. It's just nice to hold the story in my hands. When I first started watching One Piece I thought it was great, but I remember not being able to decided where I would rank it on my top 5. I even remember a few months ago getting all torn over whether to buy the first volume of One Piece, Bleach, or FMA....but now...now One Piece is just...my absolute favorite anime ever, might even be my favorite show period.

Watching Yu Yu Hakusho right now. I'm in the part where Yusake is going to face Touguro in the Dark Tournament finals.

^That reminds me, I never watched Yu Yu Hakusho after the Dark Tournament. Guess its time to rewatch that show?

You finished the Alabasta Arc, didn't you?

Actually I'm smack in the middle of it. It's really great so far!

This might change by the end of this arc, but right now my favorite arc of the saga is Drum Island...I just love Chopper!

I've also switched to subs because...I dunno when I watched the movies I liked the actors I guess. Ha. But I'm glad I did when I did because Chopper's voice is adorable!!!

Also just curious, does the Sky Island/Skypiea Saga live up to this saga? All I know about is there's some false god named Enel and a flying Island.

Simply put, no. It's a great arc, but not as amazing as Alabasta. In fact, I suggest not expecting Alabasta to be topped for a while.

Also, the first three episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho were fan-effing-tastic! I forgot this was a show that hit the ground running. I was almost crying by the end of the first episode, that was definitely one well-done wake. The level of story, drama and comedy puts a lot of other shows to shame. The voice acting's also starting to improve. (watching it dubbed)

No wait, I did see the chapter black saga! I just thought it came earier! But I don't think I saw the Three Kings saga. So no, I never saw how it ended.

does anyone know some good anime about tournaments or with tournaments in it like Zatch Bell, the Law of Ueki, Shaman King or even Yu Yu Hakusho?(it has that dark tournament part) I don't know why but I'm a sucker for this style(even in videogames, my favorite mode in Melee was the tournament with 64 players and my favorite part in Paper Mario tTYD was the Glitz Pit just to mention a few)

goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Naruto, Dragon Ball, Hunter X Hunter, Fairy Tail...it's very rare that a long-running shounen anime doesn't have a tournament section. Even One Piece finally got one, at least in the Manga. You might also want to check out sports anime like Hajime no Ippo.

Guess it's time to watch Dragon Ball. it still feels kinda weird being almost the only person that didn't watch it. the same goes for Naruto but Naruto I stopped because I was spoiled enough to jump to the currently latest chapter of the manga, even when watching HuntexHunter people's comments on the videos contained Naruto Spoilers(but it was dumb of my part using the comments as a mean to remember which was the last episode I watched )

still watching Shaman King I reached the part where the character I liked the most when I was a kid appears... man I was weird.....
I can't belive I was fond of that

depressed angry boy that only makes the wrong choices and is too serious to have fun....
Lyserg isn't my favorite anymore......

in the end no one beats Yoh(ok, maybe Anna)

Man, the problem with these spoiler tags is whenever I see them, I get the urge to click them to hear the Zelda sound effect. And then realise I spoiled myself.

Oh well, not like I was going to watch Shaman King anyway ^^;

Also, I hope you enjoy Dragon Ball because it's a whole lot of fun. It's the kind of show which doesn't take itself seriously, so spoilers don't even matter for the most part!

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

GuSolarFlare

^it wasn't really a spoiler anyway every anime has a character like that and this one's like this from the very first moment it appears I just like using the spoiler tags

Does anyone here know anything about KHR? (Katekyo Hitman Reborn)
Someone suggested it to me, but i'm not sure if it's worth looking into.

I just saw the first 6 episodes last week. So far it starts off like a silly comedy, but I'm assuming it'll grow more serious eventually. My only problem with it is that it's taking too long to get to the plot, instead spending over 6 episodes just introducing its enormous cast of characters. There's been little development on the Main character's side, too. You'll probably get a kick out of it, but do know that it's over 200 episodes and there's still at least one major arc that comes after it, so it won't be a complete story unless you switch to the manga at some point.

The comedy starts out pretty good, gets old after a while, and then the series almost IMMEDIATELY becomes awesome once it gets serious.

someday I'll get back to the series...

The stories okay (The manga came to an end recently) just drags a bit for some of the arcs and the ending wasn't the greatest, I would still recommend it but suggest reading the first 2-3 arcs then form your own opinion.

OH MY GOD, NINTENDOLIFE NOW HAS SPOILER TAGS!!!

SPOILER-TASTIC!!!

SPOILERRIFIC!!!

(Eh, it's spoiler-Okay.)

Anyways, onto the important stuff;

Kyousougiga (Episode 2): As I partially expected, the actual show is way better than the preview episode. Instead of the ridiculously rushed pace of the preview episode, the story is taking its time and the show is actually trying to weave a logical narrative. Sure, there are definitely things that aren't heavily explained that should be explained (Ex; almost every other setting/background), but there is a clear structure to it all. Also, the show has gripped my curiosity and I'm betting I'll be watching this regardless of whether I like it or not.

Samurai Flamenco (Episode 5): Once again, I'm extremely pleased with this show. I definitely think the main point of episode 5 was glossed over a bit too quickly, especially considering the person that Masayoshi is. However, I still liked how the series handled it and I love the passion and dedication the series has to its heroic ideals.

Beyond The Boundary (Episode 6): While this series always had the potential to be stupid, it never went there. However, the last two episodes actually went there. These episodes are generic, bad, and slightly disturbing. Disturbing content is discussed below;

The sealed youma turn-in center is also a back-alley photo shoot studio that specifically works in customer-requested sexualized photos (both nude and non-nude). That's not the worst of it, though; It's almost outright stated that the main male characters are regular customers of this studio. Of course, this series has always shown its male characters as having sexual thoughts and, to a degree, I understand (I am a male and I was in high school). However, having these characters support this business as a joke where the punchline is "Look at what this poor girl has to do for money!" creates a boatload of creepy mixed messages.

Log Horizon (Episode 6): Moving onto something that is far more good and far less creepy, I absolutely love the latest episode of this anime. The revelation that Shiroe has is perfect as it compliments and shows the secondary, potentially bigger purpose of all of the scenes that came before. The end reveal of the episode was also fantastic, as it was the only logical conclusion that could have come from the revelation. Assuming the series doesn't drop like a stone when it comes to quality (which I doubt it will), I have a feeling that I'll like this immensely more than Sword Art Online.

Outbreak Company (Episode 4): And to end this long post, otaku smut takes that position. As for my prediction from my lost entry;

Nope, the series doesn't stick to its twist of having one of the main characters die. Admittedly this isn't a dramatic/weighty series and its reversal fits the show's overall tone, but following through with the death of Myucel would have really slapped the viewer's expectations in the face.

Besides that, this series is most certainly flirting between interesting topics, comedy, and otaku fulfillment. Within seconds of an interesting problem/cultural dysynchrony the show goes back to its bigger focuses of comedy and fulfillment, which is slightly frustrating for me who wants something more interesting than the standard anime nonsense. But whatever, every series can't be Fate/Zero.

EDIT: OH MY GOD CLICKING SPOILER BOXES PLAYS THE ZELDA TREASURE CHEST TUNE!!! This is the best day ever.
