Flandre- "I've been in the basement. For about 495 years."
Marisa- "That's sweet, I only get weekends off."
_
Marisa- It's so hot, I'm gonna die here.
Reimu- If you die, I'll feed your corpse to the birds.
Remilia- My, it'd be fine if you'd let me take care of tha...
Bleach - Another generic filler. Don't get me wrong, l Like Yachiru, but as she's meant to be as a quirky companion to Kenpachi. I don't need an entire episode directed around her. Also, the filler soul reaper they introduced is just a less interesting clone of the guy Ichigo & Co. ran into in the Menos Forest.
Naruto - This was a pretty good episode. Great fight between Sakura & Ino. Too bad there wasn't a definitive winner, though.
One Piece - Only One Piece could make the villain an evil sea horse, and make it work, lol. Also, Luffy is really growing on me. He's easily the most lovable anime character since Goku (not as cool, but lovable nonetheless). I guess this means we'll be moving onto Water 7 next week?
Soul Eater - Episode of the night! Fantastic action, Death the Kid centric, and some unsettling new mysterious insinuations about Death himself. Also, they were fighting for a giant magical key, where's Sora?
Sword Art Online - As always, this show continues to be consistently good. This one had some pretty good action, and geez, they've been in there 2 years now!? Poor little bunny rabbit gets killed, but man when they cut it up, Best. Knife. Ever. Kirito had a duel with Mr. butthole bodyguard, and was being mysteriously watched by a dude from Organisation XIII (sorry man, the Keyblade was in Soul Eater, you're too late). Looks like Kirito & that girl are now face to face with a boss. Good luck with that! Also, this show always makes me want to play TotA, FE:A, OoT3D, or KH:DDD, lol.
Also, they had a new show montage tonight, and it was a pretty fantastic one, if I do say so myself.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I been watching a little anime called Watamote
Its about an anti-social girl, where nothing goes well for her.
The show will make you cringe as you watch.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
@RR529 Water 7 starts in 5 or 6 episodes. The wait is worth it do. If you think this lil fillers are good just wait till the actual arc starts. ^_^
I was confused why Robins childhood rolemodel didn't materialized when every1 else did, then i remeber why they haven't aired her backstory yet XD. They did teased it a lil towards the end of the episode.
I just noticed that @Sony_70 said "90's anime OR Space-opera-ish anime", so with that in mind...
90's Anime:
Victory Gundam
G Gundam
08th MS Team
Gundam X
Turn A Gundam
Macross Plus
Outlaw Star
Slayers
Cowboy Bebop
Irresponsible Captain Tylor
Berserk
Trigun
Big-O
Getter Robo Armageddon
Giant Robo
These are mostly the surefire hits, I can name a lot more that might be more niche if you want.
Space Opera-ish Anime:
Space Battleship Yamato 2199 - (A remake of a classic anime that pioneered the turn towards darker and more mature series, whose store still hold up well today. It makes just the right changes and modernizations to make an already great show even better without losing that classic feel)
The Legend of Glactic Heroes - (A classic, mature space opera that's probably more what you're looking for. An all-around great show, though it is slow to start, and try not to be daunted by its length)
Banner of the Stars - (Another pure space opera, but it can be a bit difficult to get into because it's more plot and battle-focused)
Zeta Gundam - (If you've ever liked Gundam, you gotta watch this. It's the best in the series. And it's more of a Space Opera)
Outlaw Star - (It's more of a space adventure, actually, but it's still really good stuff)
There's also Towards the Terra, which I hear is great stuff, but I've yet to watch it myself.
And where's that guy who was talking about One Piece characters not being unique? I'm only on the second Saga, The Alabasta Saga, but already the characters are well developed and from nearly everyone I talk to, they only get better as does the story.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass
Just finished Full Metal Alchemist. It was great series with a great story. The ending was pretty open ended, possibly a little too much so, but I think it hints at what happens to enough to get the right idea.
Also, since I watched the first episode of FMA Brotherhood, I've bought and read the first two volumes, which I loved. However, nowhere is the entire first episode of FMA B, in fact, it starts the same way as FMA. There are notable differences of course but still. People say FMA B perfectly follows the manga.

Like we said before, that's the ONLY Filler episode. And nobody said it followed it perfectly, it actually cut out stuff from the beginning that was largely extraneous for the purpose of speeding up the pace and getting to the good stuff, but it does follow the manga story way more than the first series, which only loosely follows the Manga story for the first 25 episodes before going on a complete tangent.
Cutting to the good stuff? Well okay then...but the first episode being filler, a bad one at that, rushing the introduction of such great characters as Hughes and Armstrong....why? I've also watched the clip involving SPOILERSSPOILERS
Hughes' death SPOILERSSPOILERS
in FMA B...and it just...wasn't as good...an it seems he dies rather early in FMA B, but in FMA he has room to grow and become so likeable that it really feels like a loss when he dies.

SPOILERS BELOW SO DON'T READ if you want i mean i dont really care
But in FBA B Mustang actually does something meaningful in avenging him rather than Cheska and Winry doing a bunch of stupid stuff.
And there's more reason WHY he was killed. He figured out the master plan in Brotherhood while in FMA he was just... Nosy? I honestly can't remember, and I watched FMA last month.
I mean yeah Brotherhood's early episodes are rushed so the scene might not have as much weight, but I still think it's pretty good.
Oh come now, you can't just watch a clip out of context and expect to get the actual weight from it. Trust me, it's done better than you think if you actually watch the show.
Does anyone know anything about the anime Knight Hunters? (If I asked about this once before , I apologize, I can't remember asking and find a post about it.)
