yeah, I've seen a few episodes of the 60's Astro Boy (and Gigantor), since AS used to show it occasionally, and while it was kind of a unique look into the past of anime, I didn't think it was that great (primarily for the reasons @CanisWolfred mentioned).

I should note that storywise Astroboy was quite interesting, since it was actually fairly dark for a kids anime. The 80's version is supposed to be even darker, too.
I just finished up chapter 375 of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi!
SPOILERS
It looks like Tanimoto has been offered a position in Yomi, and after a fight to prove his worth, he accepts! Is he truly betraying Kenichi & the gang, or is there more to his choice?
Also, it seems like Yami's unarmed & armed divisions are joining forces! what could this development mean? Well, apparently they are travelling around, stealing all sorts of masterly crafted swords from museums. Kenichi's masters manage to stop them for now, but it appears Yami is putting a deadly plan into action (the last time this happened, WWII broke out!)
The return of the mysterious salaryman who competed in the "D of D" Tournament! Apparently, he searching for a particular member of Yami's "One Shadow Nine Fists", in order to get revenge for the death of his master (he dropped out of the tournament upon finding out his target wasn't there). After swapping some info with Kenichi's masters, and a sparring match with Kenichi, he goes on his way.
Kenichi's friends call out to him, and it appears that Freya and her master have been kidnapped by Yami! Shigure takes Kenichi and the gang to go rescue them, but will they win out? Amongst the villains are Yomi's Kokin Tirawit (who literally killed Kenichi during their last encounter), and his master, who is a member of the "One Shadow Nine Fists", and will surely keep Shigure occupied.

Any reason you give a spoilerific summary of each chapter you read? As it is filled with spoilers, I'd imagine the only people reading it are those who've already read/watched it.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass

Well, it's actually a summary every 25 chapters, instead of every chapter.
I pretty much just write it, so I can share with everyone what I've been reading. I do give clear spoiler tags so they're easy to avoid if you so wish

You haven't even gotten to the best part, I'd assume.
I just finished watching episode 25. My excitement can only go so high.

It's also good to talk about the stuff you just read. It can be a fun excercise. I do it all the time when it comes to anime. I'm terrible at summaries, but I love to give reasons why I'm enjoying something or not.
still reading Gash Bell
[youtube:gRlCO9mP4zg#t=71] and this scene is better on anime lol

I was looking for this anime with this girl that gets confused with the girl from the ring a lot and people tend to be scared of her, it's a really cute anime that I Wana find again.
Fun fact! If you look up "Creepy anime girl" on google the first picture you will get Is Remilia Scarlet from Touhou.
Flandre- "I've been in the basement. For about 495 years."
Marisa- "That's sweet, I only get weekends off."
_
Marisa- It's so hot, I'm gonna die here.
Reimu- If you die, I'll feed your corpse to the birds.
Remilia- My, it'd be fine if you'd let me take care of tha...
Bleach - Another Kon filler episode. It wasn't terrible I guess, but it just felt overall meh.
Naruto - That first match was pretty cool, and reminded me of something I'd be likely to see in Puppet Master Genzo. Also got some back story into Sakura & Inoe's rivalry.
One Piece - While Luffy & Zoro battle it out, the rest of the gang's fighting for their memories. (also, is this where Luffy gets his "X" scar? I thought this was filler?)
Soul Eater - Thanks Medusa, now I'm going to be creeped out for the rest of the night. At least there was some humor thrown in, with the students failing intensely against Stein's test.
Sword Art Online - This had a giant dragon fight, so it wins this week. That is all.
Also, they had a new inspirational music show collage thingy. It was OK, I guess (it didn't use any clips from SAO, which came as a surprise, since they've never left out a show before when it comes to these sorts of things).

Because some people still like watching TV shows on TV, including anime. It's gotten a million views several times. I think it's safe to say it has an audience.
